First time here in a long time and not much has changed. Parking lot is still one direction which I think makes it much better for how packed it can get. I went on a Tuesday after lunch and was genuinely shocked how busy it was. My order was ready fairly quick as I only ordered a whole chicken and multiple chicken breasts. It's great to know there is a local family run business with quality meats still around. Inside is small and I like to be in and out quick. Only place I get my duck from! Normally I just purchase the duck breasts at this location but this time I ordered the rotisserie duck and WOW. I absolutely love the peach/apricot glaze they coat the duck in. I always ask for an extra side of it because its that good. So many great meals this summer courtesy of Goffle Road Poultry Farm! It is incredible how good the chicken is here--the meat has its own flavor, and the seasonings we've had were light (Rosemary Thyme and Lemon Herb), helping to make the meat flavor standout. We also tried their Turkey Breast, which was phenomenal. It was flavorful, juicy, and huge! You have to call in-advance for their cooked items (Rotisserie Chicken, Turkey Breast, and Stuffed Chicken/Turkey (days in advance)) though they do have some extra Rotisserie Chickens available daily (Herb or BBQ I believe). They also have farm fresh eggs, and like the chicken, you can taste a huge difference. The eggs here taste much richer and are "fluffier" when cooked than standard eggs. We also tried their freshly killed Pekin Duck which I really liked. If you call/reserve before you come, they can keep it chilled until you arrive. They also have a wide range of frozen, and more-adventurous meats. So far we've had the Whole Rabbit (much more tender than I expected), Venison burgers, and Lamb sausages. To top it off, the staff here have been incredibly kind and helpful every time despite the work environment being so busy. Every time I come here, I order paper thin cutlets , rock hen chicken and other . Paper thin is same as medium and cost more. The chicken even I specify no head and feet, I still get them. The worse part is the attitude of a lady that is at the window that treats people very rude. Short hair ash blond. I never asked her name. Ordered a 12-14 lb turkey cut into 4 pieces. Went home, roasted the bones for gravy and then roasted the turkey. The family loved the turkey. It was great. I'm going to do this review differently.. here is my routine ... This place gets busy so I make sure I call hours in advance the day I'm picking up my items. I also order ahead because I typically get multiple bags of all the items I order to save some time. My favorite part of all this is that they separate the quantity of chicken you need. I do mine per meal ...for example I know I'll need a lb and a half of chicken breast when I cook, so I'll order 3 1.5 lb bags of chicken breast and freeze them when I get home. This place is small but when the weather is nice they have an area outside where they take your order. However when I go inside, first thing I shoot for are the eggs to the right. Large selection of eggs. They roast their chicken on that side of the establishment as well. The left side of the store has a section of frozen items too. I'm always getting the pork and turkey sausage (they have pattie's and links) and I get their chicken nuggets for my niece and nephews. . Ah who am I kidding I eat'em once in a while too! Unfortunately it's time for the sad part of this review. No nothing about the staff, they are friendly and helpful but they sell dog food. I've never bought any of it because sadly.. I was so disappointed this Thanksgiving with the turkey that I received after ordering from here for over 35 years. The turkey was SO tough I have roasted turkeys and Never did I have such a tough turkey The dark meat was horrible and was difficult to carve. I spoke with my neighbor who we both went and picked up our turkeys the same day and they also had a tough turkey. I am concerned that these turkeys were force fed and not naturally fattened. I do not know if I will give them another chance I was embarrassed serving such a poultry to my guests. read more

Real organic chicken. This is the only place I will Buy my chicken wings from. Not overgrown (steroid) chickens sold at your average supermarket. You will notice it is tender. All the meats are good and priced normal. The eggs are very white and deep yellow color because they are free ranged on the farm. Now, I tried the asparagus homemade ravioli that was my only disappointment. If you like chicken pot pies, they make the best homemade pie. My husband swears by this place. And while the poultry is of good quality, what I experienced today was absolutely APPALLING. While my husband ran inside to pick up some wings, I sat in absolute disgust as I watch a kid (who works there) kick open the crates the chickens were in and proceed to pick them up roughly by the leg and fling them into the coop. As the chickens screamed from being thrown he continued to herd them in the coop aggressively with a metal stick. I understand this is a business, which my family frequently goes to support local business. Wow i can't believe I have been driving pass this place for so many years and didn't see the sign. They have fresh live chicken, turkey, duck, rabbit, quail, eggs, sausage and other meats. I actually saw them bringing the live chicken in from out back, it doesn't get any fresher than that. Today I got a chicken pot pie and it was the best I have ever had. Goffle Farm in Wyckoff, NJ sells fresh-killed poultry, turkey, chicken, duck, and a variety of other meats. I work in Ridgewood and travel around Bergen County, often curiously driving by the Goffle Farm. I finally had a chance to stop by a few weeks ago and I went back for the second time yesterday. So far, I have tried their sausage (both sweet & spicy), whole chicken and eggs. I bought a 3.5lb whole chicken for 2 (hungry) people for dinner and it was the perfect size. I kid you not, this was the best chicken I have ever tasted! I did a simple spice rub, added a few onions and cooked it at 350 for about 1 hour 15 min. This chicken was SO fresh and DELICIOUS!!! Their chickens are not much more expensive than your local grocery store and they are FRESH-- NOT filled with antibiotics and steroids. What a difference! I have been telling my family & friends that they must try Goffle Farm. Goffle also makes for an EASY and delicious dinner- pick up a chicken for a few bucks, throw it in the oven, add some potatoes half way through, put together a quick salad and you have a nice meal. This place is a gem. Local chicken, turkey and eggs. The eggs and chicken nuggets are fantastic. In addition, they generate a significant portion of their electricity from solar panels that they have on the roof. They get so much business on the days before Thanksgiving and Christmas, that the police have to come to direct the traffic! Well obviously the Wachowski brothers have not tried the chicken at Goffle Farm. This is what chicken is supposed to taste like. The chicken is raised on their property and um they get you know right in the back. It's the freshest and tastiest chicken I've ever eaten and I basically eat chicken everyday. You can literally hear chickens clucking when you come in. In addition to chicken, they also have the best eggs I've ever had in my life. Goffle also carries a wide variety of rare meats such as pheasant, rabbit, elk, boar, alligator, ostrich, and a bunch of others. For ten bucks I bought four giant pieces of bone for eating marrow. Our family has had many of their poultry products and they are never less than superior even compared with high-end supermarkets and butchers. We have ordered holiday birds and they come flawless and ready to go with all the parts you want and all of those that you don't find in the plastic bags in commercial birds if that is you preference. Their prices are comparable to non-sale premium brands found in grocery stores and worth every penny. My gold standard for chicken from the store is Bell & Evans and their chicken meets and exceeds this standard without all the trucking and marketing AND you can get the poultry processed to your preferences. When is the last time you went to the supermarket and bought a whole split boneless chicken breast skin-on? Also, you can keep the bones for stock. Never - it's not an option. Many local restaurants call out Goffle Road Poultry Farm's chicken on their menus as a sign of a pride and quality. I am no shill. I first went there when I was five in 1973. We had hot dogs that day at Clixes. I heard a rooster and my grandparents took me to the source. They asked the man at the counter if I could see the chickens and he took off his apron and brought us around. They will still do that if you ask.
