I've been working on and off with Buckley Body Solutions (Michael) for about 10 months now. He really is as good as it gets. This is the best trainer in the best city - get him while you can. My biggest progress came last spring when I had a red carpet event to go to and a runway designer dress to fit into that was one size too small, and 5 weeks to make it fit. When I came to Michael with this his response was "Can you show me a photo of the dress?" To which I said "Yes - but what's the point if I can't fit into it? I told you the size." And he said "Oh. You'll fit into the dress. I just wanted to see what the cut was, so that your exposed areas are 'on point'. On red carpet day, nobody is going to notice the dress. They'll notice your body." In the end, with Michael's guidance, I went down 2 sizes and the dress actually fit like a glove. I was lying to myself, as we often do, about how much we actually need to lose. I'll post a photo of myself in the dress, you can tell me if you notice the dress... or notice my body. ;) I'm not an athlete (really) so I don't know what else to say except for he knows what he's doing and helped me look super hot. I was literally terrified of causing another injury or exacerbating my condition. I had worked with several trainers in the past, both at David Barton and Equinox, and even after spending a small fortune, I was always left with little confidence and "the need" to get ripped at the expense of my body. After nearly a year of my gym protest, the weight began to pile on and I missed the great energy I would feel from having a healthy workout. I knew this time, a "trainer" at my local gym wouldn't cut it, I would require an expert, or nothing short of a demi-god. He is an amazing trainer who will help you succeed. I lost 20 pounds in 2 months and got into the best shape of my life. He is an Intense but dedicated trainer who goes the extra mile. Several times in our sessions he had to explain exercises I didn't understand and he was patient and understanding. I recommend NJM fitness to anyone who is looking to lose weight and get in great shape. His prices are extremely reasonable. (about 50 a session which is unheard of in Bergen County) and is very flexible. His system works.

There is a stipulation--you have to pay $100 a month or so for membership to even be allowed to buy personal training sessions that are priced higher than what you would pay at Equinox, for example. However, the difference in quality is stark. The trainers, beginning with David Kirsch himself, take a personal interest in your health and diet. They have several celeb clients...which is not the reason I joined--if anything, it is a deterrent. But the facilities are exclusive (they only let six members in at a time in their two exercise rooms), and they even make you a free protein shake on your way out! I look back at 2004 (when I was a member) and I distinctly remember being fitter and more committed to my health--hopefully someday I will return and continue with MSC (I still have five sessions that I haven't availed of).
