Walking into Ironworks it's impossible to miss this stand. I never thought I'd be so invested in revisiting a storage container! That being said, and knowing acai bowls aren't a trend in Houston, I hope they receive the same love from the community as they put in their product. While this spot DOES offer more than acai bowls, I highly recommend ordering an acai bowl! I was super surprised when I received my bowl. It did take a bit of time to arrive, but you can't rush greatness, I guess. The bowl was appropriately tart, fresh, chocolaty (with added cocoa nibs), and the toppings were well mixed throughout (not just on top). They offer the choice of honey or agave as a topper, which I appreciate. And it's hard to deny, the location is not your ordinary storage container food court. There's so much packed into this spot, and it's decorated and laid out appropriate to allows folks to shop, grab a sandwich, coffee, taco, shop for your fur baby or score a tattoo before or after your bowl! The only feedback I have is the price. I paid around $15 for my bowl which is still about $3 more than one of equivalent quality in the River Oaks area. read more

Please don't post your hours if you don't honor them. There was a train stopped on the tracks. I drove an extra 20 minutes at the end of a long day to get AROUND the idle train so I could get here before close and grab 2 smoothies. Stepped inside at 6:50PM to find they already put up a "closed" sign and had drawn the curtain. Turbo lame. Just take down your hours of operation if your actual hours are just "whenever." 5-12-26, bummer. read more

This place was pretty good! I tried the Green Machine smoothie, I was a little skeptical about the cauliflower, but it was really good. I couldn't even taste the cauliflower! It was a bit pricey though, like $10, I'm not sure it's worth $10. I also hate that there aren't any prices on the menu. Typically love this place. I came 20 minutes before closing and was met with an empty stand. A bathroom break sign was placed in front of register. There was a gentleman sitting in the booth drinking a smoothie. I stood at the register for 8 minutes waiting for the employee to come back. After I finally order - I'm sat waiting. A group of two young boys come inside and I hear a gentleman taking their order. Lo and behold an employee was sat and watched me standing for nearly ten minutes lol and when two men came in he jumped to assist them. Very odd. Probably won't return. read more

Great smoothie! Though this drink had vanilla whey which has added sugar, it was still good. Both gentlemen who took my order were attentive and gave me a great recommendation on what to get. I got the Tropic Thunder which has Orange juice, Coconut water, Banana, Mango, Pineapple, Vanilla whey, Honey. When I drank this smoothie my brain said "ahhh yes, thank you!" I'm so happy a smoothie place opened in the east end! I got the açaí smoothie bowl and my husband the green machine. I didn't get to try his but he said it was nice, refreshing and filling. Now, my açaí bowl...I guess I was feeling nice and I shared and he almost had more than half of mine! We were fighting for the last bite. It was so good with a nice blend of fruits and whole fruits sliced nicely on top and sides. The granola was crunchy and it had a little bit of coconut. Also the cashier guy was super nice! He explained how they use all fresh ingredients and was very friendly and inviting. I will be back!!!! read more
