I spoke to someone about getting a key/fob for my Mitsubishi Lancer, yesterday (04.19.21) @ 9:48PM. I didn't get a call back until 12:29 AM. Unfortunately after waiting 2 hours and by reading the reviews of fast service, I assumed okay maybe they are not coming. Which I then went to sleep being that I had work in the morning. I called back in the morning (04.20.21 @8:17AM) and set an appointment for when I get off today. When I spoke to the locksmith this morning he did give me an estimation on the cost after I had asked. While I was at work I did my own research on aftermarket fobs for my car; priced around 50-70 dollars. I texted the locksmith and asked, "If I get my own fob can you just program it ?" He responded yep. I then ask what the difference in price would be from purchasing my own and having him do the labor vs doing everything at once. No response yet. Since its getting closer to the time I am just going to pay the full cost because I do need to drive my car soon. Would of been nice though to save a little money because it seems like I am paying 200 for labor alone. I will update my review once I meet with the locksmith and if I am able to get the assistance that I need. At the end of the day I judge based on service and satisfaction. Outstanding service! If we could give more the 5 stars, I would. I called Matt to get some advice and set up an appointment to rekey our newly purchased home in Lakewood. He answered the phone right away, was friendly and helpful (even when I asked what I thought were a couple of silly questions about rekeying vs. putting in a whole new lock). Matt was helpful, to the point, and easy to schedule an appointment with for a couple of days out. He arrived right on time at 9am at our new house--took a look at the doors we needed service on, and got right to work. He even went so far as to let us know he could actually replace the lock mechanism on our back door for close to (if not at) the same price as just re-keying! My hubby and I were very impressed. Matt is a very diligent, honest and gives sound professional advice. For security reasons, I needed to re-key my lock because the condo unit was owned by someone else for 8 years prior to me. My lock was a very tricky lock to work on but he did not give up until the job was done and still charged me the same amount. He had to come back three times to get everything working fine because whoever installed the initial lock in my condo really messed up the inner workings of the lock big time. I was out stranded with my car and no keys! Didn't have any access to a spare, so I was bugging out. Called the dealership to see how I can get a new one made. I would have had to tow my car to the dealership, have them reprogram the cars computer for a new fob, then make me a new key. Total charge: a bit over 600 bucks. That's when I called GoKey and spoke with Matt. Not only did he charge me far far far less, he was mobile and able to come to me!
