Always been happy with these folks and trusted them to give me very best price to pay out. I told him when I came there. I didn't know anything about these coins. I'm trusting you to take care of me. He said oh yeah, we'll take care of you then a lady approached The counter to the right of me The same salesman gave her a price on her merchandise and she hesitated and said thought it would be more. Sorry, I can't do that price. The man said hold on​ and came up to the price you wanted which was almost $400 difference. I guess that's the way they do business. Let's see if they catch it rule. Extremely unprofessional conduct. They ran an unfair giveaway where they 1. ended it very prematurely 2. went against their stated promise and decided to give the giveaway to someone who did not qualify as a winner, who was likely a family member. They broke their own rules without any explanation, and acted confused when I confronted them about it. In addition, they also have a clickbaity YouTube channel where they post slop with6 borderline misinformation with sensationalism. I wouldn't give these pawn shop hustlers a single cent. My experience here was very good. They are very professional and not pushy at all. I felt very comfortable and the whole experience was calm and not rushed. Service and knowledge is good... payment for items you bring in might not be the best based on comparison with other similarly placed businesses. If you want to find something unique that is gold/silver/coin they can get you something today, but you can probably find the same thing cheaper elsewhere. Group appears to have crossed over to the point where they are entitled to your business rather than they need to compete for it. A complete joke. Showed up on a Saturday had nothing out. I showed up planning to spend 5000 at least to invest in some coins. Lady at counter said "oh we do t put out much on Saturday". Really lady??? Don't be so lazy. The reason people like me with deep pockets who spend big coin(no pun intended) on coins shop on Saturday is that we work 50-60 hours money -fri to be able to afford suck an expensive hobby. Not putting out inventory while your open is lazy and disrespectful to your customers that travel all the way to your store. Smarten up. Post on your website that you open put out 3-4 crappy bins with junk on Saturday's. Horrible. read more

A post was created on Facebook of a lot of silver plated items. The entire lot was posted for $500, however I was only interested in some of the items as I would be using them as centerpieces for a wedding. I contacted Mandy regarding the post asking if she would piece the items out as opposed to the entire lot. She encouraged me to come into the store where we could choose which pieces we'd be interested in and they would create a price from there. Today, My mother, friend and I drove the 30 minutes to their store where we proceeded to go through the 4 boxes of plated silver items. While still sorting through the final box, the owner hovered and scoped the pieces I was choosing. After choosing about a box and a half worth, the owner proceeded to pull some of the most beautiful pieces from my pile claiming he needed 'something interesting to add to the rest of the pieces to make it appealing'. He saw the look in my eye as he pulled my favorite piece, which had a matching miniature version to go with it. After the battle of which pieces I would receive, he proceeded to weight the items to give me a price of $250.00 - half of the original post's worth (Remember, this was less than half of the items posted. Plated silver is not worth $5.00/lb. I understand that this is a business and a profit must be made to survive, however a bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush. Having a lifetime collection of coins of all types and learning that your issue are really not interested in them is a shocker but I had to come to grips with the situation. The big problem became how to liquidate the collection and make sure I preserved as much value as possible for the children. As the whole world knows, coin dealers are in the business to make a profit so they must walk a tightrope when offering to purchase collections or individual coins. They cannot afford to get the reputation of being a lowballer and they cannot afford to give the store away. They must offer fair prices for the coins presented. June 5th was my second large transaction in the liquidation process. Robert Oberth and his staff spent over 3 hours reviewing the coins I brought to him. A fair but not overly generous offer was made on every coin and coin set I presented. I left with what I believe to be a very reasonable amount. I have more coins to liquidate and will not hesitate to present them to Gold & Coin Exchange for an evaluation and offer. There is no reason to look elsewhere. read more
