I called and asked what my options were, and being cheap I asked what the difference was among the lowest 3 price ranges. The guy looked at the stadium, and honestly told me there wasn't much difference. I really appreciated him saving me $10. Do not trust this company. I had great tickets at a fair price lined up. I called them because I had bought from them in the past and wanted to buy from them again. Whoever answered the phone told me that the good tickets were going to be released at four o'clock. I called at right at 4 pm and they told me those were already sold but they had some other tickets 24 rows further back then the other tickets I had lined up for two hundred dollars more. It was a very easy process, picked the tickets I wanted online and picked them up at their office the day of the game. People - have you ever dealt with a ticket broker? Do you know what a ticket broker is? It is their job to sell tickets. They don't necessarily have the tickets in hand...that is why we see the same tickets over and over again on different web sites for different prices. Common sense - if you are buying the tickets close to event time - pick up the freakin phone and call them. They will tell you exactly what you have to do, where the tickets are, whether they are still available, etc. I've found that their prices are usually competitive, and they also have bought tickets from me for a good price. I don't know that knowing any particular person makes a difference, as I think most of their tickets are from other brokers and they are just scalping a small profit. The ones that they have in office, I've found are reasonable. When I need to use a ticket broker, I call them. read more

I discovered this business through Craigslist when looking for two same-day Book of Mormon tickets for 4/25/15. The seats were in Orchestra Center, row D, aisle seats, for $145. I was surprised and asked why those seats were not on the website or their Craigslist ad (seen above). He said that the ads changed all the time and was not sure when he got them. Ad was posted at 2:06pm, I called at 3:57pm. He said they must have just gotten them and that they were "right in the center, Row D, against the aisle." I had originally planned to purchase Orchestra Center Row B for 135 each. It was worth it to me to sit a little further back in the same section for an additional $20.00 total so I bought them. When he sent the email confirmation with the receipt, I immediately noticed that the seat section was Orchestra LEFT. Simple mistake right? A typo perhaps. I called back immediately to resolve the issue. I was put on hold 3 times and was not able to speak to Jerry. Jerry was on another call and the other representative was not able to help me or get his attention. We had a train to catch so I hung up and planned to resolve it in their office. We arrived at the office and Jerry was not helpful at all. He said that he told me the tickets were in the center, on the left side, against the aisle. What? There are three distinct sections of the Orchestra section at Bank of America theater. These were in Orchestra left, against the aisle. I said that I ordered Orchestra center, row D and that I was lied to about the seat location. I wanted a refund ($20.00) for the difference in reference to the Craiglist ad I had originally inquired about. He said he couldn't do that because he made no mistakes, the prices change all the time, etc. He called up the next customer and that was that. What he did was shady and unprofessional. Not only was I lied to, but I paid extra in the process. Very frustrating to spend almost $300 on tickets and feel ripped off. Don't know where these people are saying Gold Coast tickets doesn't charge fees because I was charged $21. Not sure if it's something new or something they only do in person but I bought online and I was charged fees. That's not my reason for 2 star rating. It would have been 5 stars since the tickets I bought were $70 cheaper here than anywhere else online. I've looked for 2 weeks at different sites and this was always the cheapest when I decided to pull the trigger on them. Anyway, I've deducted 3 stars because they have a weird verification system that should leave people feeling uneasy. They said they couldn't verify my billing address. I've bought things online for 15+ years and never had one issue with someone saying my billing address couldn't be verified. To verify I had to send scans of my credit card and photo ID. I did it but still feel uneasy about them having my stuff on file and sending it through email but I wanted the tickets. As soon as I received my tickets I canceled the card and requested a new one. Buying tickets to go to a show should be about the experience not about just going. I only go to events where I can be in top 1% of seats and truly EXPERIENCE the show. I use Gold Coast Tickets because they have decent prices and impeccable customer service. I have had tickets delivered via FedEx as well as via courier to my office downtown, I have picked up tickets and I've even had a GCT rep meet me at the venue to pick up my tickets for me at will-call. Never had an issue and I've used them over a dozen times. Their office is on Madison a couple blocks west of the freeway. Careful parking out front though. I almost got nabbed by a rather large, hairy female cop for parking illegally for less than 5 mins while getting my tickets. That night almost ended poorly. read more

A show I wanted to see is in its final weekend in Chicago, so I wanted to find tickets for tonight's performance. I browsed the Broadway in Chicago site, ticket master, and stub hub - all of which were selling tickets at a hefty markup, plus all the usual garbage fees. I decided to check Craigslist to see if anyone had tickets that they couldn't use, and came across an ad for GCT (whom I had never heard of before). I checked out their website, and not only did they have tickets for tonight's performance, but they were on sale! I ended up finding front row balcony tickets - usually $100 after all the fees - for $35 a piece! And GCT doesn't charge processing or pickup fees, unlike the other websites. So $35 is what was advertized, and $35 is what I paid! The process could not have been simpler. I ordered my tickets, received a receipt, received a confirmation email that my tickets were available, and even received a call from their office as a friendly reminder regarding their location and hours of service. I picked up my tickets in person a few hours later, and will happily be going to the theater tonight! My experience could not have been better. I will happily use these guys next time I need tickets. The only fly in the ointment is they charge an arm and a leg if you want your tickets sent to you. Eighteen dollars for regular FedEx shipping is too much! Gold Coast Tickets is a great NO FEE spot for events all around Chicago. I've used them many times, and almost always they beat competing websites because they don't charge fees, the price of the ticket you see is what you pay. And here's a Pro Tip for you: They often double list their tickets on Stubhub, but will offer them cheaper on their website. If you work downtown then they are a short bus ride away to pick up the tickets, or it could even be walked from the Loop. In my experience there is very little reason to rate this business poorly. They're open from 9-7 from Mon-Fri but be careful - Saturday, they're only open from 10-2 and completely closed on Sundays. Unfortunately 2 of our tickets weren't going to be used, so I was looking to trade our 2 extra seats behind home plate for 4 Bleacher seats for the following Sunday game.
