My son has been a part of Gracie Barra since June 2022. It is his favorite class. Coaches Eric and Sierra are amazing coaches. So patient with the younger kids. It's definitely not easy to teach such young kids when they're have a hard time sitting still, but they somehow make it work. They promote discipline well as listening skills and the ability to follow directions. It's a great way to get exercise but also learn beginners self defense. They make the classes a lot of fun for these younger kids. If you have any kids this is the school I would highly suggest. I can personally say we will be with the school for a very long time to come it is well worth the money. This year my son went to his 1st Jujitsu tournament with the help of his coaches during rhe entire tournament. So glad to have these 2 wonderful people teaching our area the world and art of Jujitsu!

Our 4yr old son started learning BJJ from Chuy and his love for grappling has grown since. They're truly the best of friends - and it's important to build this relationship with your Professor. At this age, it's far more important that the kids develop a love for learning - and the short live rolls keep the kids engaged and motivated to get better. And developing a pretty complex back-taking technique and rear naked choke submission at this age is pretty remarkable! Our 8-yr old son who has been a BJJ competitor for almost two years loves working with both Chuy and his son Robert as well as all the other coaches at LJJA. They've helped him to fuse and evolve his grappling with his wrestling - something that is challenging to integrate especially at this age because of the two conflicting rule sets. His level-up since working with Chuy has been pretty awesome to see! When we cross train at other gyms, very often he is asked where he trains - and we say come down and visit LJJA! Truly proud of what Chuy and the team at LJJA are building! We didn't plan on staying long but my daughter loves it and has made some really good friends along the way. My son has now also joined the party and both kiddos love their coaches. They are learning life skills to protect themselves. We've referred quite a few friends and all that have joined have said their kiddos love it. I like how I am able to cater my schedule based on my kiddos other extracurricular activities unlike other places that have limited schedules. The flexibility for me as a parent is a number one factor on where I take my kids. If you are interested in having your kiddos learn self defense skills go give Gracie's a try. However, the details of instruction and the friendliness of everyone at Infinite, from the owner to beginners, is unmatched. Gustavo (owner/instructor) continues to compete and master his own craft while stressing the importance of technique over brute force to students. I appreciate this approach as an older practitioner, especially after training overseas at an MMA gym which had the opposite mentality. Gustavo is also supportive of kids and adults who want to compete and does his best to be mat-side with them at tournaments. Regarding the kids classes, I also appreciate the few minutes he spends a with them at the beginning of class talking about their day and trying to connect BJJ lessons to proper behavior off the mat.
