We were not satisfied with Gold Key. IMHO property owners should be on site while they do their inspection. In our case, that wasn't possible and we trusted this company the realtor uses. Plumbing issues were not seen in the basement and these pipes were not hidden. Electrical will be next...... gold key will sabatoge an inspection so that they will be able to get paid a second time to come out and inspect. for example: gold key failed the electric on one house because two lights didn't turn on. the contractor went to see assess the situation. it's turns out the connector was not pushed in all the way in the electrical panel. (I don't know all the terms but you get the picture). did gold key intentionally unplug connector??? Idk ‍, it was working the 5 months prior to the inspection. but what an ignorant reason to fail a home inspection, destroying hopes and dreams of a family wanting their own home. This is not the only situation with gold key. Another home failed because it had a leak, when months prior it wasn't an issue. Could it be a coincidence leaks and light outages happen day of, I think not. read more

I would urge you NOT to do business with Gold Key. I have a court case that was won against them but not the amount sued for because they "hold to the contract amount". They are not professional and do NOT stand by their work. In the court document the judge actually ruled the home inspector was negligent. However, they only hold their obligation to you per the cost of the contract you pay them. If they miss something large then you are on the hook for it, not them according to what they have you sign. Please use another company and don't get burnt by them the way I did. read more

I recently hired Gold Key Inspection Services to conduct a home inspection. They sent Mike Davis to do the inspection, and he was incredibly thorough. At a previous house I purchased, another company (not Gold Key) send an employee who took an hour and a half to inspect a three-story home plus garage; Mike with Gold Key spent three and a half hours to inspect this one-story home and really looked at all the systems and aspects of the house.
