Somehow, my eyeball peeped it, we looked at each other and said: wine not? What sets this shop apart is that everything is hand picked, carefully curated, organic, natural and biodynamic. COOL! Let's start off by acknowledging their orange rainbow wine wall galore where you can pick from all hues of orange wine. I'm an orange wine newbie - super late to the game - BUT, thanks to their guided tasting (and amazing wine connoisseur) I was able to gain so much knowledge. We got to try a white (Spain), a delicious smooth red (France) and an incredibly funky and fun orange Hungarian wine. I hadn't even tried Hungarian wine before until now. Pleasantly surprised and it for sure was something unique. In case you're curious to try it too it's their Jász Laci 'Rising Sun' Somló 2022. We loved it so much we picked up a bottle to take home. The tasting bottles are also discounted if you participate in the tasting which is super awesome. Overall, so happy we came here. He asked me if I wanted to try a really great whiskey he'd just gotten and of course I did! I'm not a whiskey drinker but it was fabulous. Told him I was looking for a nice Pinot Grigio and he immediately showed me some great options. I was so impressed by his knowledge and passion that I decided to ask if he could recommend a nice red wine. I'm always searching and they're either too dry or too sweet. Again his knowledge was very impressive and he led me to the perfect Cabernet Sauvignon. I didn't think I'd like a Cab because I never found one that suited me but he seemed so confident that I decided to trust him. So glad that I did! It was perfect! I have my favorite shop in Orlando (Golden Hour Wine) and saw this biz on a list with Golden Hour featuring best natural wine shops cultivating community in the US. Steve, the owner, greeted us and offered to help us make our selections. We noticed they have a specific Jura section as well as a ton of wines under $20 in their own section. Steve helped us pick out a Hungarian wine, which was not something I expected to find, but it was a hell of a good wine with dinner that night. The area is lucky to have a shop like this. No one's getting rich off natural wine, but that means the folks at shops like these do it for the love of producers, and excellent underrated wines.
