We joke around that I pay her to hurt me weekly, but her deep tissue massage is what keeps me going week to week. I had massage therapy before after the accident with another practice for over a month and received little to no relief of my pain. One visit with Maren and I could cut back on pain medication. After three visits, I was able to cut back to OTC as needed. She is able to keep my migraines at bay, even going as far as to stop them in their tracks, if I happen to get one when I have an appointment with her. So I go over to HVCU right next door and get cash. So I get back and say OK, I have cash. She wanted to see the cash and how much of a tip she was going to get? I explained to her I don't give the value of the tip before service, but I showed her the cash for the massage and the $25 tip. Which BTW was more than 20 percent of the total cost of massage.
