This is the worst nail salon I've EVER been to. I am a student taking summer classes in dahlonega so i thought i would be able to get my nails done well here. I was extremely wrong. I have to go in minimally 3 times a week because they are so bad at applying nails, they will not stay on for even a day. They charge me $25 each time for 2 nails fixed , when I've paid for a full set probably the day before. I went in for a fill today (I've already been here once this week getting nails repaired) and she tried to charge me $55, when the menu said $15. She started screaming and fighting with me when I seemed confused ( literally screaming and grunting I've never seen someone do this), and said it was $35 more Because I have long nails. My nails are not even long, but an average length, and was t even asking for them longer or shorter, just a fill. I ended up walking out because she continued screaming at me. I went to another nail Salon and they told me my nails were thoroughly damaged from going to that place. I would not recommend unless you want to be yelled at and fought with about prices, when there is a hard copy of the menu right there. read more

I recently moved away from Dahlonega, trying find new nail salon has been disastrous. I always loved Lou and her staff, every time I would go in. They always went above and beyond to make my nails look fabulous. On my hunt for a new salon the quality of service and high prices do not even compare to what these ladies do. Lou is truly missed, I still talk to her after every new salon I try to let her know nothing compares to her shop. She has all color options and designs and is always willing to try something new for her clients. Highly recommend, you do not realize how awesome your nail tech is until you move and no longer have them. read more

i'm not one to write reviews but i had an amazing experience. i went in yesterday for a gel french tip pedicure for prom. i'm not from around here and from where i'm from the nail artists never care and are always so lazy and sloppy with the service. the staff here took their time and provided me with great service. the lady painting my toenails kept checking to make sure i was satisfied and even made sure the lines were the same thickness- absolutely not something a nail artist would do from where i'm from. will definitely attend again next time i am in the area! read more

Nice service and the gel manicure lasts well. I've gone kayaking, swimming in the pool and the beach over the past 2 weeks and my manicure still looks great. I'm pretty amazed the edges are still adhered perfectly. This is honestly the longest lasting and most resilient gel manicure I've ever had. Idk if it's the product line or if it's the guy's technique, perhaps both. Along with the manicure is a moisturizing hand and forearm massage, and then hands rest in heated mitts. I'm a Dahlonega local and student, and I've gone to Gold for my acrylics, manis and pedis for over a year. I've tried nail salons in Dawsonville too, but I have yet to find a salon that can match Gold. The nail techs will be upfront with you if it's going to be a long wait, because they take the time with their customers and pamper them. There's no beauty "chop shop" mentality; they truly give you their attention and verify what specifically you want. I've had many services done here and my nails always last well. Not to mention, they're extremely well priced, considering they're the only nail salon in town and could get away with up charging all of us college girls who "need our nails done." I'm a little disgusted by the previous negative comments left by other people; everyone has experiences where they didn't communicate effectively in the beautician service and ended up with something different than they expected, but Gold has consistently treated me and my roommates well and done a fabulous job. Went in for an eyebrow waxing. I told her I only need them shaped by removing "light hairs" under and above brow. She did that and then proceeded to trim with scissors. I now have gapped eyebrows at the center. She cut them slanted!!! Will never go back there again! read more
