Bowling, (which you can't use cash for, apparently) was priced in the most confusing manner. Instead of putting costs together into one total, they spread them out on the board (either to deceive you into paying more or just from pure incompetence) ​so it seemed like it cost about 20 DOLLARS less than it did. They don't mention until you're checking out that bowling shoes are required and their rental costs far too much. They also assumed that my friend (who isn't white) was stealing when he was putting an item on the shelf, threatening him with a 90-day ban. Everything required some card you had to "charge" with money or a wristband for access to an activity. The selection of games was decent, but with how many were inaccessible it didn't really matter. Workers didn't really attempt to help me understand the confusing bowling pricing. A wonderful day was ruined when I came here. Save your time and find a better place to go.

I really wish whoever maintains the pinball machines does it more frequently. Location machines are always a challenge to upkeep though and understand the challenges with allocating parts, especially for the older machines. Some machines had bad flippers, unresponsive targets, and overly touchy tilt. That I can understand and deal with. My main gripe is that nearly every machine was setup in a hard lean and out of level. I don't know if this is intentional or out of inexperience with pinball machines. Some of the pinball machine legs weren't touching the floor on some games. Super fun atmosphere though. I can see this being a prime spot for northern Texas pinball tournaments if the owner spends some TLC on them. The bartender was super sweet and social to make sure you feel welcomed. I'd recommend for a fun date night but wouldn't go if you're really into pinball. The arcades on the other hand were kept super clean with no sticky buttons. The pool tables have plenty of room to play without stepping over other groups. Bathrooms were also very clean! All machines and pool tables take US quarters along with top notch coin changers available.

I would say it has three parts; the building housing a detailed model railroad, an outdoor garden railroad, and the historic train engine and cars outdoors - including a Dept of Energy nuclear weapons transport train previously used for the nearby Pantex plant. The indoor train has representative modeling of the cities and rail lines east-west across the TX panhandle. The two level circuit route fills up much of the inside of the building. At this writing, it's pretty bare bones, the track is laid out, but lots of bare plywood and spaces for filling in the cities, buildings and features. Sky and clouds backdrops are looking good. Got a guided tour of the guard cars and engine of the "white train" used for nuclear weapons transport. Very interesting to see the security measures surrounding warhead transport. The garden railroad in front of the building is also still under construction. Currently has the brick foundation and dirt landscaping, and track is laid, but is not fully operational at this time. The staff on site were friendly and knowledgeable. Admission is free. Website amarillorailmuseum.com is spotty, but lists hours as: Our regular meeting nights are Thursday, from 7:00 p.m. until about 10:00. We are also open the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
