This place is completely dead parking lot was almost empty and only a few people throughout the entire casino which is a shame because I really like the aesthetic inside the casino. The game quality is not that great unfortunately the best games are at the bar with a progressive BPD game that returns around 98% other than that the entire casino floor is full of 97% or worse return games. It uses the true rewards players club which is decent and always has something on offer but then again its much more successful sister property Pahrump Nugget has this players club as well so why come here? I couldn't see any restaurants open while I was there either. What bumps the review up a bit is that the bartender was friendly and I had a pretty decent cocktail there. Overall would recommend going to their other property until they change the game quality and give more incentives to stay and play there. read more

The place is dead, seriously nobody ever wins and there's no one there. Every time I have gone to this casino it's downer, a very depressing place. Even Dotty's is better than this place. If anything changes, I'll change my review, but not holding my breath. As now though I would recommend staying away from gold town. read more

Save your Money!! This Casino eats the money! You can keep dumping money in and never win a bonus game. Not only do you sit forever playing with no excitement to speak of the drink girl comes around very slowly!! Its horrible if you want to have a night out, forget the restaurant too it was diaqusting! We would never go back after eating there once! Not a place you even want to waste your time on! This is part of the Pahrump nugget and Lakeside casino. Its the worst one in the bunch! We popped into Gold town Casino on the day of our first visit to Pahrump. They have a big nice bar with lots of seats for video poker and the service was really quick. The bartenders are great. A great place for a quick pitstop. However the discount liquor the advertisements are discounted stick to the supermarket in the big box stores but if you wanna sit at the bar to play video poker they got you covered here at Gold town Casino read more

I Won ! I stayed at the Pahrump Nugget back in August for a little getaway and to see an old Army friend in town . I played there and had no luck . That night I went for a walk down the whole strip and back and stopped in Gold Town before going back to my hotel . Hit 4 deuces right away so cashed out and went to bed . The next day after breakfast , I decided to stop back in before returning to Vegas . I went on the far left side and played Video Poker . Hit 4 of a kind , cashed out and moved to the machine next to it , hit 4 of kind and moved again . I did this 6 times within like an hour and a half . Walked out with everything I lost at the Nugget plus my stay . I hit 4 Aces twice ! The best play I have had in a while . read more

This place was interesting ... The staff was friendly. But it was hard to navigate around and find signs. The casino was pretty outdated. And it smelled a little - probably the smoke and stale beer. I don't think I'd go back. read more

This looks like a locals casino, a little on the smaller side. It only has slots, so no live games. It's right next to my hotel so I guess if you were staying at the hotel, you might want to give this place a try. I put $10 into video poker and won about $20 ... so I quit and took the money and bought dinner! The local diner inside here is called the Back Porch Cafe. It easy to fond right next to the pizza stand. The dining area isn't actually separated from the main casino floor, just by a railing, no wall, so the smoke from the casino is sort of all over, but hey, this is Nevada and a casino, so whatta ya want. It wasn't THAT bad. I was seated right away and the staff is so friendly here. The lighting is a little dim ... so food pics are a little harder to do. Looking over the menu, I see the prices here are very reasonable. A 1/2 pound burger is just $6.99! I went for the 1/2 pound Patty Melt with fries. Curly fries are available, and those just happen to be one of my fave kinda fries! There were quite a few other people dining here too, so the food must be good. My patty melt come out in a basket with fries. This was one tasty Patty Melt! Good crispy rye bread and a good hunk of meat inside! We stopped in at 8:30 pm on Sunday and were told they are closed because they are short staffed but we could pick up to go. What's the difference between to go and just letting us sit down and eat? We noticed this is a trend. If you are really closed at 8:30, just change your business hours. Don't put people through that. This was our first and last time going. read more

Yeah, it's a bottom end casino. It's small. I think it might literally have the world's smallest casino buffet. And it's mostly all the really weird, crappy penny slots. I love themed casinos, but even that couldn't save this place. Not much to see or do here. Move along. read more

Terrible's is an amalgam of a casino, convenience store, gas station and restaurant all rolled into one. Gas of price is always relatively low. Convenience store is well stocked with most things a traveller might forget to pack along plus a small shark tank which is it's claim to fame. The restaurant/casino has a really cool Old West feel to it while the restaurant has a decent selection on it's menu for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. All in all, a sufficient way station for those who find themselves staying in the Kingdom of Nye. read more

Review is for the casino only. I stopped in passing through town. It is a small casino located on the main road through town. It is small. I have to been to Indian casinos larger than this place. It was early morning so it was not busy. A couple of people were playing some video games. There is a gas and convenience store station attached to the casino. I picked up a players card and the lady was friendly. Played a couple of games then moved on. A nice place for a break to get out of car and stretch and try your hand at some machines. They have the standard slots found in anywhere, nothing exotic. read more

I went here for gas. I was recently released from the hospital and currently have serious mobility issues. I went to Smith's, and the lady on duty (Cathie!) rather rudely said she could not help me with getting gas. So I went to Arco (Rebel). No one there would even respond to me. So, off to the 76 at Gold Town. Michael, the attendant, was very polite and helpful. He pumped my gas and got the bag of ice I needed. I know, especially right now, that things are stretched. But Michael is a true gentleman, and I'm very thankful for his help. read more

This place is ok for what it is. Smaller than its sister next door and quieter with better payouts. I often eat at the slices and scoops. Great price for a massive slice of pizza. The staff is nice. I've eaten at the cafe inside as well. Foods ok menu prices fair. I'm in here once a week looking for the jackpot. Bingo is also cut throat here as well. read more

I just had the toughest steak I've ever tried to eat. The steak was supposed to be medium well, not burnt through. The waitress came by once to take my order, once to drop off the food, and once to drop off the bill. Guess you only get one drink... Wish I knew that before I drank it all before my meal... Sure was thirsty after muscling a knife through the tough steak. Don't know about coming back here again. read more

Went there for dinner on a Monday we ordered hamburgers medium please we told the server burgers came well done Got a hold of our server and said does burger look medium to you ? Server Said I'll tell the cook and that was that no return on the burgers or anything So beware the simplest thing to cook is a burger but for there Cook he still in a learning curve. Apparently this restaurant cannot substitute pork. Although my husband and I don't eat it, we were told that's was the only meat option for breakfast. I chuckled to myself because we all know that's a crock ( and like many others, I worked in restaurants when I was younger and know full well , there's ALWAYS a substitute) Was denied fruit, bread, potatoes, ANYTHING that wasn't pork. We ended up ordering from the lunch menu which wasn't any console. This is exactly why we don't go out locally anymore. It's not worth the hassle. Bless my sweet husbands heart, he still tipped ( and graciously I might add). Lucky for her too because if it had been up to me, we'll let's just say I ALSO do not substitute . I do not recommend eating here. read more

Calico buffet aka "Waterrock" is a small quaint buffet. You definitely get what you pay for in buffet food. But the specials are just that special. 2.99 "dueces with a kicker". Additionally, the staff are very nice. Bad: customer management, seniors tend to sit anywhere and bully ahead of line. Waitresses let it happened. read more

Service was great but the "buffet" here was not the best. I guess I can't complain because it was only $6.99 but when I think of a buffet i expected more food to be out. There was a salad bar that had lettuce, olives, cucumbers, crouton, jello and dressing. Yup you read right...jello. Who puts jello on their salad. Today was the taco bar buffet. You had a choice of hard taco or a soft tortilla. There was ground beef which looked dry and I recommend digging to the bottom to get to the part that is soaking in the juice ad there was chicken. shocking-it was not dry and was moist everywhere and very flavorful. other than that there was much to choose from. Like I said I only paid $7 but I thought there would be a few more items. I will be back but I think i will order off of the regular menu next time. Service was awesome :) read more

This Pahrump casino is adequate for locals but as far as a tourist destination it lacks a great deal. Upon entering the casino I was unimpressed with the layout of the casino. It could have been done somewhat better. Since this was my first time visiting this casino I chalked it up as a locals only casino. It did not have any attractions to draw me inside. Since I was there I decided to try the buffet. The buffet is entirely inadequate. There was very little options for food available. They had beef, fish, and few other items as well as side dished available. They had enough deserts to give me a few options. I settled on some small cakes available. Overall, the buffet lacks an adequate food selection. It is primarily for locals who seemed to know what is available on any given day. While eating my meal I overheard some other diners mentioning that the food was good today. In my experience I have had better food at a buffet. In a nutshell, make the buffet larger, offer more food selections and charge less for this meal. The total of the buffet came to total of approximately $10.00. I was unimpressed with this Pahrump casino. read more

Only the bar, food, and casino being rated, and it's aight. Not my favorite place to play at but I'm used to playing and gaming in Vegas. The service when it comes to personality is great, but people working in the service industry here at this location and most Pahrump business lacks in speed and paying attention. I drink a lot when I play. I understand 2020 has to reduce the quantity of customers and patrons. Cutting down staff and more procedures will increase wait time. But it seems the slower paced Gold Town is just not my scene. For the locals and people who may want a quick drink, a bite to eat, some play and a lot of quiet time, this is a neat place. I was just bored being here. The machines are mad tight xD. I know my luck today wasn't great but the machines for 21 don't allow some double downs, surrender, insurance. Lotta the poker game payouts are still sketchy and lower than other casinos. Will come again to not be so biased and review once again in a few months time. read more

Nice little casino with a western theme. The staff here is friendly and good selection of penny slots. The cafe was nice. The staff in the cafe was extremely friendly and the prices on slices of pizza were great. $1 for a giant new york style slice of pizza you can't beat. The manager came around our table and was asking how our service was. Really nice place read more

Bad breakfast this morning ordered 2 eggs over medium well they came to the table raw! One side cooked and looked like what I ordered I flipped them over and the white was runny the yolks were cold and watery. I would of sent them back but was pressed for time, so a lot of salt, pepper and Tobasco made them some what palatable. Never again will I go there. Be for warned. read more

I have nothing positive to say about tonight's experience. Food was bad. Service was bad. We had two items on our receipt. One for 9.99 the other for 6.49 and the total before tax was 17.49. total bill with tax 18.80. I ask about it when I went to pay and they said I don't understand. Out of frustrating I just paid. Keep in mind I tip well and eat there a couple times a month and it is usually a good experience. I went to the casino host station waited ten minutes to get a spin on the machine which is this months promotion and no one was there. Waited 10 minutes. Went to the cage and showed them my receipt and was told the casino host could take care of that for me. I was told she would be there in a moment. I just ended up leaving after another 10 minutes. The day that I posted my review,11/30/15, I also sent an email to gold town casino / golden casino group, and to this day I have never even received an acknowledgement of the email or the problem. Original Review: We arrived for dinner at 5:30pm, and after 45 minutes I went and counted the empty tables, there were seven empty tables, and 4 empty booths, and people were not being seated. I asked for a manager, he said that he would go in back and get some people to help. We were seated next (amazing how that happens) we were led to our booth, and as I was taking off my jacket I notice roaches crawling on the wall next to the booth, I asked the waitress if they came with the dinner. No, we did not stay to eat. I will never set foot in this dump again! Does Golden Gaming want to get rid of this restaurant, because it sure seems as they don't care for the customers. read more

I stop here whenever I need to pickup fireworks nearby. The place is tiny and the buffet is not great at all, but it's a place to just hang out. The bj tables are 2 dollar minimums so you can practically play all day for a small amount! Enjoy yourself and get a few drinks while you play! read more

It's an ok place to gamble for cheap. $2 blackjack tables that pay 3 to 2 are hard to find in Vegas, but they have them here. The place isn't that big so I wouldn't make a special trip out to Pahrump just to come here. read more

We have lived here for 26 yrs. and this is the worst place it's ever been! Now we go to where we can get more for our money, Saddlewest!! GTown has gone down hill. I LOVED playing Bingo there, but it is just way too expensive. I play at Indian Reservations for 4 HR. Spend $80 for all that time and the jackpots are either$500, $750 or $1199. When you have to pay so much to win and/or have to split $40, $80, or $120, it's not worth it. Sad, cause this is the only place we would play. Now we rarely go in there. read more

If anyone else had been standing in the lobby I would have asked to be moved, that's just a basic safety concern. The room was nice with the shower stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The sink had tissues, hand soap, hand lotion, and a hair dryer. There was also a mini fridge in the room. No smoke smell despite the ash trays between each room. The front desk was honestly the recurring weak point of our stay. At 4AM on our first night, a guest tied their dog to their car and the barking went on for about 30 minutes straight. When we called down, they told us we weren't the first complaint but didn't seem to have a plan for handling it. Eventually it stopped on its own but it didn't leave us feeling like anyone was working on a solution. On another occasion we asked about their EV charger and they seemed genuinely unaware they even had one, and couldn't offer much help when we let them know it was broken. We also stopped by late one evening just to ask for spoons after grabbing ice cream and were told we'd have to wait until the restaurant opened in the morning. Small thing, but it added to the pattern. On the brighter side, the continental breakfast on our last morning was better than expected. We got there about 30 minutes before it ended and were impressed that scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits, and gravy were all still fully stocked. The pool looked nice, there's virtual poker at the bar, and the water bottle filling station in the lobby was a convenient touch. The dog area has a good patch of grass and seemed well maintained, just watch out for the rose bushes nearby. One thing I feel I should mention for the sake of other guests: I was called a homophobic slur by another hotel guest during our stay. The hotel itself wasn't responsible for that, but it felt important to note.

Lots to explore here, from the nice lake out back with lots of weird Knick knacks and decor to the even more eclectic business center. There's a big store inside with tons of essentials. There's a small casino with many slots and poker machines (more being installed during our stay). There's a cute bar where Jackpot the Cat hangs out. There's also a great onsite Cafe that we enjoyed a great dinner and breakfast at. Staff is very nice and provides quick service. I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're exploring nearby and need a nice clean interesting place to stay.

The price is very reasonable, and in this case, you really do get what you pay for. There is always a line of people to get coffee and this made it worse. They don't have coffee in the rooms for environmental purposes which I understand but they should have all coffee machines up and running and kept up with since there isn't coffee in the rooms. Things hotel can't control but made for a not so great experience. Went out and sat on a chair to enjoy the cooler evening weather after check in and a man walked by and relived himself on the wall. There was someone above me wearing hard soled shoes who kept walking back and forth that night and of course again the next morning and I got to listen to the neighbors bed next door to me hitting the wall for about 20 min. Overall not a bad hotel necessarily just a bad stay for me there. Easy on off road access and higher moderately priced.

Everyone I have met is always so nice and helpful. They remember my name and they know the beverages I like. They always ask how my morning is going and I appreciate every one of them. I witness them have to put up with a lot of unpleasant people that do not understand when the credit card machine goes down or the wifi. and People get mean when they are trying to do a shift change. These employees put up with an awful mess of people somedays. I just wanted to let you all know I think your doing a great job and thank you for always making my day a little more beautiful. I explained what I needed, she picked up her cellphone (to assist?) and then started loudly spouting all sorts of 4 letter words at the phone as she was having difficulty logging in. When all those f-words, etc., weren't enough then she started giving it the finger too. Finally I took my card back and went back to the lady at the players club table and told her. I'm not sure if anything happened. I stayed a bit and left. There are plenty other casinos in town. I guess that's one thing I'll remember this establishment for and it certainly isn't customer service if you have to deal with the little female in the cage.
