This town has a very limited amount of things for entertainment. The Nugget casino offers a few things. 1. Bowling area with it's own food and beverages 2. Bingo area with times posted on their website. Payouts are smaller that Vegas Bingo venues and sessions are 1 hour long. But it's a good way to pass time. 3. They have a steakhouse 4. There's a bar area 5. Sports bet area that brings entertainment on a weekly basis such as a local band. 6. Various Casino machines and tables. They have 1 craps table. 7. Came up for a one night stay to check out some of the Pahrump wineries and a few friends and I booked some rooms for the night so we didn't have to drive. The pahrump nugget is a basic, older casino for sure. You can tell they haven't had many upgrades recently, but for the price is was an easy pick. Overall the hotel was fine. We needed a place to sleep and that was about it. A bit of a down fall at check in. We had reservations for our rooms for specific non smoking rooms and king beds. Both were wrong and the staff basically told us "oh well sorry we're sold out" thankfully there wasn't a price difference and the smoke smell in the rooms were not bad but it would've been nice to at least somewhat accommodate us a little with something other than a "oh well." Would I stay here again? Maybe. I mean it beats driving all the way back to Vegas after trying out the wineries. I would definitely hope they improve it a little bit. There is no pool, but if you want they will give you a voucher for a pool hotel nearby. read more

Horrible experience. The manager Dawn treated me like I was trash, spoke to me backhandedly, talked to security like I was a criminal right in front of me for being a little forgetful. I needed to wait for a ride after checkout, they kept sending security after me despite the fact I completely minded my own business. This is apparently how they treat paying customers. Room was nearly unremarkable, however telling customers they can't use their devices from home is ridiculous, just disrespectful. The Nuggets cafe has been converted to a Denny's. I came in for my Veterans Day breakfast to see how things are going. Obviously it was a very busy morning. The staff were quick to seat me and obtain my drink order. It didn't take too long for the waitress to greet me and get my order. In a reasonable time, she came by to let me know the kitchen was backed up and inquired on my needs. Breakfast came out hot and tasty. There are a lot of breakfast places in town and will keep this one on my list of considerations. read more

It was my first time in Pahrump, and I decided to stay here after hearing good things about the place. My first impression was that the check-in process could be a bit quicker -- the front desk is small and usually has only one person working, so if there's a line, you'll need a little patience. That said, the front desk associate was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, cool, and the beds were pretty comfortable. On my first night, I headed down to the sportsbook to catch Monday Night Football and enjoyed their beer-and-hotdog deal at the bar -- a perfect light bite. The hotel also has a Pinkbox Donuts on-site, and I heard they'll be opening a Denny's soon. Hopefully, it'll be one of the ones that serve bottomless mimosas! The best gambling variety available in Pahrump and the much more successful sister casino of Gold Town. Surprisingly they offer table games including $5 craps, $5 blackjack, and $5 high card flush among some others. As far as the pay tables on video poker are concerned they are the best I found in Pahrump so far mostly 98% on the older machines and a few progressive games on DDB that go beyond that. Players club is true rewards which is decent and has offers regularly. A few dining options like the cafe, Pink Box Donuts and Jimmy John's are available within the casino. Overall would recommend checking it out and will visit again on my next trip to Pahrump. read more

The Casino: Typical old Casino had new & old slot machines. It has Bingo, Sports betting area. A Restaurant Cafe & Steak hours (w/limited hours) & a Jimmy Johns sandwich place. I did not see any tables. I did not eat at any of the restaurants onsite to review. They do have a Pinkbox Donut onsite which I did a review on. Hotel: I was visiting my sister & there were not very many choices in hotels. I read Yelp reviews and this one did not seem to have a complaint about cleanliness issues. So I booked a stay. Arrived there around 11 AM. Checked in to see if a room was available. I was told the room was not ready & I would have to keep checking back. Customer service seemed lacking, but kept being nice and it got better and said they can call me. Did not receive a call, but came back around 3ish and a room was ready. I booked a non smoking room. When me & my sistah entered the room it smelled like Pot. The room was very clean & no sign of smoking in the room. We opened the window & turned on the air and that seemed to clear the pot smell. We could not find a vent in the room that the smell maybe coming from. The I walked into the bathroom, which smelled and saw the vent where the smell was coming from. If I closed the door to the bathroom the smell did not extend to the room. At night the bathroom was not as bad, but I did stuff a towel in the vent. The next day the smell was gone. I assume whoever was smoking pot checked out. Kept the bathroom door closed. I thought about checking out, but like I said not much choices in Pahrump for hotels & the others had reports of cleanliness. At least the room was clean. In the evening the bathroom smell like cigarette smoke. So the smell was coming from the smoking rooms. When I brought this up to housekeeping they said they knew about the smoke going thru the vents. So the hotel is not going to do anything about it. So there is no such thing as a non-smoking room at this Casino/Hotel. So smoke or dirty rooms are your choices in Pahrump. Unless someone out there can recommend a Hotel in Pahrump Nevada. read more

Coming from out of state, the slots suck, all the games are the less desired ones and when going to get dennys at 5am for breakfast, you're gonna get yelled at across the empty casino floor for having your hood on by the "security". I go here every year for Labor day weekend. Last year, the elevator was broken the whole time. I had to carry my luggage up stairs and use the stairs the whole time. The Ice machine was broke too. The lady checking us in was very rude and gave my elderly parents a room, the farthest away from the elevator they could. They only have 3 luggage carts and we couldn't get a cart. I had to carry our luggage upstairs again this year. Just so you know, the Golden nugget has new rules for their guests. The drink servers are very rude and bartender was too. New rule, If you can't taste the alcohol in your drink, don't tell the server or bartender, they'll cut you off completely for the rest of the night. They won't serve you ANYTHING, like water, coffee or soda, unless the security guard is near them. My family goes to this casino/hotel every year for a golf tournament, I think if we go again, we'll be going to Lakeside next year !!! read more

The security team is completely unprofessional... this is my local casino that I come to on a regular basis. Tonight on November 13 2025 I had a string of bad luck and my phone was dying so I went to my car to grab a charger cord so I can charge my phone so I could transfer funds from accounts and this security guard Miles goes out of his way to let me know that I can't use the outlets to charge my phone... I mean seriously I'm not using the games to charge im at the mini tables at the bar away from everyone and I can't use the outlet? I'm pretty sure that's what they are there for... I even asked the bartender and she told me that I could totally use the outlet.. so it seems like I'm being targeted for no good reason... I booked a suite on the third floor for myself, my sister, and my brother in law. The price was something like $450 for two days. We needed the space because we had some important business and paperwork to attend to. Check in was easy. The staff was generally polite, but the hotel was dated and dingy. I felt like I was at risk of catching an infection walking around the hotel room barefoot. The entire hotel had an odor of ass and weed. Everyone we encountered in the hallways was stoned, and the stench of weed permeated throughout not only the casino but the elevators and our room. My eyes were scratchy, and I couldn't stop coughing throughout my visit. I quickly discovered the suite only slept two in the king-size bed. I didn't want to bunk with my sister and her husband, so I requested a roll away bed to set up in the tiny living room. It arrived almost two hours later and had apparently been stored in the parking lot, as it was hot, dusty, and smelled terrible. The mattress was an inch thick, and I think the blanket was made out of cardboard. For some reason, the wall mounted TV turned itself on several times through the night. This was some of the worst sleep I've ever had. I would have preferred an air mattress. My brother in law gambled $100 away in about 10 minutes and won nothing st the crops table. The big draw was the new Pink box donut shop, but we didn't bother trying it and checked out a day early just to get the hell out of here. 0/10. Would not come here again. read more

I had a fun time at the Nugget learning how to play poker. The table games dealers were easygoing and patient. The other players were, too. The atmosphere here is smoky, friendly, and relaxed. No pressure at all here. Just fun, food, games, and banter. A lot of smoke for me gets it four stars instead of five, but it's a casino. read more

This hotel has gotten to be the worst place to sleep overnight. I checked in about 2:30pm and ending up leaving about 10pm at night and driving 7.5 hrs home. They have people living in the hotel with kids running and jumping around in their room upstairs keeping me awake. Next thing they were smoking weed in their bathroom and blowing the smoke in the ventilation system and it was coming through my bathroom vent. Smelt like a dead skunk. I have been coming here for the past 20 years and the hotel/sleeping part of the establishment has been going down hill. I keep giving it another chance but its not getting any better. As long as they have people living in the rooms and little kids running around in their room upstairs non stop it's a bad place to stay overnight. Along with the weed smoking in the rooms I will have to pay more and stay somewhere else for more money. These issues have been constant over the past several times I've stayed here. read more

Today, I went to Pahrump Nugget for the first time. For a small casino, they had a decent amount of newer slots. They have very limited tables when I went with only 1 blackjack table that was 8 deck. The dealer was nice, but my entire visit was unsuccessful. The host wouldn't even give a comp for my lunch after playing at least $25/hand (On a $5 minimum table) for about two hours. Dropped my son and one of my sister's off at the hotel, while my wife, another sister and I headed to the Nugget to do a little gambling. It was later in the evening when we arrive. The place was busy, but not crowded. Lots of machines to choose from. Wife didn't have much luck with video poker. My sister came out about even, and I came out ahead of what I started with. Said no choice...yeah right, there was a choice and she made the choice in favor of the casino, screw the players, they broke procedure and penalized the players. What a bugger when you double down, draw to 21 and they take your bet. The dealer did what they should do when an error occurred so no issue there. Maybe the pit boss/floor supervisor should be trained to resolve mistakes to the PLAYERS satisfaction as unhappy players don't return and they tell a lot of their friends. It was AMAZING. I had the surf n turf as did my brother and it was really really good. Not cheap but nice steakhouse atmosphere and the food was excellent. Fast forward 10 years (4 months ago) and what do you know....I found myself in Pahrump for the night. So I was looking forward to the Stockman steakhouse again. We stayed and did some gambling after brunch and Asia our server was most friendly and attentive and made sure Dad and we we're taken care of which was especially appreciated on this busy holiday. I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff at this casino. We appreciated that the gaming floor ( Slots) were spaced 6ft apart.( Covid-19 protocol). The food Stockman Steakhouse ( Filet Mignon, Ribeye steaks) was fantastic! Again, the wait staff were completely on point and made our experience great. The room was clean, bed very comfortable with lots of fresh pillows. Room staff were very helpful when we asked for extra coffee pods for coffee maker. We've been going to Stockman's Steakhouse in the Pahrump Nugget for almost 4 years on an average of 4-5 times a year. Have never been disappointed with a meal there yet. That said, the prices have risen dramatically and the menu has shrunk. It's still the best place in Pahrump for a great meal with great service, but be prepared to pay for it to the tune of $75 pp or more. The casino is always smoke filled and the slots are some of the tightest you'll find. Table games used to be a deal, but mins have risen and rules got worse and their slot/member club doesn't offer much in the way of rewards. The coffee shop is just so-so. So, go for the steakhouse food and drink and pass on the casino. Think of it as a comp to Circus Circus in Vegas, one of the best steakhouses in all of Vegas, but wading through the casino is like traveling through the smells of a 3rd world slum. The Nugget is better in the smell dept. of course, YMMV. read more

Skip it! The rooms are dirty, the furniture is tarnished and the staff are slow and not motivated to help. We checked in to our room to find the air conditioner humming so loudly it sounded like an alarm! Front desk says they can not give us another room without maintenance attempting to repair it. So now, after a 6 hour drive, 7:30 pm we are waiting for a maintenance man to replace the air conditioner instead of relaxing and eating dinner. I've stayed here many times on hiking trips to death valley and whiles not perfect-- it is usually cheaper than other options nearby. This past trip my room was only $39 with tax which was a steal-- cheaper than a shared AirBnB. The Nugget is by no means perfect--- I feel like the whole place smells a but like cigarettes.. but the rooms are fine. Wow just wow! It's been a bit since a Hotel experience was this bad. And we are easy to please. Clean room, at a reasonable place and we are good. But the Nugget, has taken the cake. First: there is no clear hotel lobby area. If you come at night, it sits next to the gift shop/smoke shop (which was close it seems at 6pm, so lights were out. I guess smokers don't buy cigarettes pass 6) We made the reservation online, but they couldn't find our name for 10minutes. When they finally find it, go on to tell you what they are going to charge you if you do x,and z, before handing you the key card and directions. They key Card did not work. Called the front desk but no answer, then left a massage for the manager since, no answer, called a third time, and finally got the operator (by this time my wife had already walked to the front desk) after a few minutes my wife shows up with hotel employees and we get the door open. Almost 40mins to get to your room. We booked a queen and got twins. We asked no smoking we got a smoking room. I guess you gamble with everything in here not just in the casino. read more
