First time using Sixt, and it won't be the last…read more After a less-than-ideal experience with another provider (cough cough, Europcar), we canceled our reservation and quickly booked with Sixt instead. It was impressive. Within minutes, they had our car ready, gave us an upgrade, and were incredibly kind the entire time. No pressure to buy their insurance or add-ons, no scare tactics about not driving on the highway with a small car (unlike Europcar, which kept trying to upsell us). The whole process was a breeze, including the drop-off. The car was in impeccable condition. They have definitely earned a new customer!

They then invoice at the end 120 euros for fees and having an extra driver , which was fine . They then take 210 from card without agreement and gave me some rubbish invoice adding all sorts on . I complained and got no response, then today I get an email saying they are charging another 10 euro for recharge of vehicle, they already charged 45 for this when they took the 210 ....... We used the car twice for a 15 minute journey!!!! . Absolutely disgusting company . DO NOT USE

DO A VIDEO WALKAROUND OF YOUR CAR BEFORE LEAVING THE LOT!!!! I was given a heavily damaged vehicle…read morefor a seven day rental. I pulled an employee at the lot over to review and mark the vehicles damage that wasn't documented correctly. He said they don't do that anymore. Just take a video walk around. Well I did, and then when I returned I triple checked "is everything ok, no extra a damage" I was told yes and sent in my way. Then as I get to the airport, I was hit with a damage notice! I didn't have time to return to the lot so went to the rental counter. They said there wasn't anything they could do, and I'd have to go through the process. I was absolutely furious. Now I have to deal with this headache I saw coming from the beginning for the other side of the Atlantic. When I told customer service in a service, they said they removed the walk around to "expedite service". Well thanks man. Now I have weeks of stress to leave two minutes faster.

Got to Sixt and the very unhelpful/obnoxious boy, Luis Mendes, at the desk told us we couldnt use our credit card as his computer told him it was a debit card. Nothing could convince him otherwise. He was impervious to common sense or reasoning. So we wasted 2 hours of our vacation using Expedia, as we will continue to do so, to find an alternative rental car. Sixt told us we wouldnt be rended in full. We would have to file a claim upon the end of the rental booking. Yet more wasted time. AVOID!!!
