I wanted a combo massage and reflexology but I also wanted to see if their prices in person were different than those listed online...they had. As soon as I walked in, one lady poked her head out of a massage room to say, "we're busy." I asked if I could book an appointment. Another lady poked her head out of another massage room to say, "come back at 5." So two massages were interrupted because there is no front desk attendant. Not good but I came back at 5 as requested. Mind you, a snow/ice storm had just begun. The same woman poked her head out, once again, as soon as she heard the door open to exclaim, "we're busy." I called and came in person four times and they turned me away. Honestly, I simply though they were truly busy and didn't think anything of it. Last Saturday, after calling and coming in, in person and turned away, I decided to come back, sit and wait. Once they noted my persistence, they agreed to see me but only for half an hour. They said they had appointments coming in. I was adamant about getting an hour massage but they said they could only fit me in for half an hour and double the price! That's when I realized they probably didn't want to service me due to the color of my skin and I was infuriated. Eventually I got a lousy hour massage. It wasn't a shiatsu massage like I had asked for. They also had me pay before my services, something that is not customary. This is a racist establishment that clearly doesn't feel comfortable servicing black people. I got my money back through my credit card company and I will never step foot here again.

I've went to 5 diffrent places and I've never felt the type of relief I got here. I felt like congestion in my face because of all the relief. It's hard to explain but I felt like there was fluid just built up in my body from stress and I felt it all get pushed out and that's why I felt like it made me feel congested but in a really good way. I did feel a little weird when my massage therapist stepped out the room 2 times but it was because she was getting the warm oil and hot stones. You could hear the phone ringing and other customers speaking. My friend and I were in the same room. My massage was literally painful, despite repeatedly informing the masseuse that it was too strong. I don't think she spoke English, but even if she didn't, my body language should have been a clue that I was in pain. She was using her elbows to massage me. My friend was enjoying her massage, so I dealt with it. I literally was crying with my face in the hole because of the pain. The next day, my back was severely bruised. It looked like I had been repeatedly struck by a 2x4. I am not a lightweight and I get regular massages in my hometown. I have never experienced anything so awful. My masseuse here was appalled when she saw the bruises on my back.

When it comes to massage, your credentials apparently do not sync up with your actual skills on the table. Experience: lackluster rub down that was overshadowed with constant interrogation about my professional background. I apparently knew too much medical terminology and anatomy and this upset him. It upset him enough that he wouldn't shut up or stop trying to pry personal information from me during the massage instead of focusing on my chief complaints. For someone with ALL the education he said he had, I expected better skills and manners. It was an expensive disappointment. Miscellaneous: it's a tiny townhouse converted over to be a "studio" so you can hear everything. Including this character talking trash about me to the receptionist downstairs after the massage like a middle school adolescent. The fact that I didn't curse him out for being such a rotten massage AND trashing me to a stranger (to me) still amazes me. Recommendation: see someone else if you want myofascial release, or a male therapist. I don't know how the girls skills are but if he is the kind of male therapist they feel comfortable working with, I am sure their skills are on par with his. It's Delaware and it seems to have a huge problem with poorly trained and barely skilled massage therapists.
