I want sure what to expect as I booked w no recommendations. I get massages regularly but through a local massage school. I booked and paid in advance on line and took advantage of the weekday special $60 for one hour. I was greeted as soon as I entered and led to a soothing quiet room and asked what my concerns were. After a quick change, Rita began to work her magic. She addresses all my areas of concern and at one point stepped out and I was surprised to realize she returned w hot stones to do additional work! Lots of attention to detail. Some range of motion and stretching , hot stones .. a complete hour of relaxation. Even using a hot towel to remove excess massage oil before I got dressed. The massage itself is very good except I'm unsure of the sheets and everything are fresh, smelled kind of stale when I put my face in it. Very relaxing good massage, my back feels less tight. What bothered me is I have been here twice and both times the suggested tips on the machine are 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40% tips. I have never been prompted to or even thought of giving a tip so high for any service. When I selected custom tip and put in 20%, which is what I always give, the lady took the machine from me and said it wasn't good enough. She essentially made me leave a higher tip. This has happened both times I've gone and it is extremely rude to be ungrateful for a tip and demand such a high amount. The second time I went, they only massaged me over a sheet, never pulled it down and used oil on my back. read more

The facility is modern and clean. The owner, Ms Pei, is usually on the premises, and an active participant. It always seems to be open. I arrived here in early August of 2020, and was concerned when I saw someone leaving who looked like part of management. He was not wearing a mask. Neither was the receptionist. I also did not get a sense that the establishment was sanitized carefully after each client. After I spoke of my concerns about wearing masks, they did put them on. Also, I was covered by a blanket that did not look freshly washed. I have felt uneasy ever since that maybe I was endangering my health and should have just declined and left before my massage began. My massage therapist did a fine job and I found the massage very relaxing. However, I had trouble communicating with her due to the fact that she did not speak more than a few words of English. For example, I asked if I could have a bolster under my ankles. She did not have a clue what I said. I then repeated my request using the word "pillow" instead of "bolster". Still no comprehension. I realized that she did not know the word "ankle." I was unable to ask for a particular depth of pressure or even to have a concentration on specific parts of my anatomy. Because I was lying face down, it was also hard to communicate by gestures. I appreciated her genuine desire to be of willing service, however, I am unlikely to return. read more

Based on the appearance of the website and all the 5 star reviews, I thought I would try this place. There is no way this is 5 star establishment. From the intake process to the checkout there is ALLOT that is missing. I tried to keep an open mind because of the different culture but it kept missing the mark! There was a language barrier. AND having another employee walk in on your session and start having a convo with the therapist working on you is a huge NO! I booked and paid online and they had no clue nor did they check me in. Just walk me to a room and tell me to get undressed and get on the table. Like what?! Am I not going to even meet my therapist. Then a random employee comes to the room and ask do you want a massage. Huh? I'm so confused right now! Then another lady comes and says no you not massaging her. So like y'all gonna debate about it and I'm standing here. I laid on the table almost 10 mins before someone came back. The doors do not allow full privacy as they don't close all the way. Anyone can walk by and watch you get undressed. To top it off, since when does pressing the thoracic spine with your ulna bone is ok, now I feel the soreness from bone on bone contact. Upon checkout they still don't bother to even go to the computer just show me your receipt. What?! It was fast and abrasive. Where is the understanding of pressure adjustment needed for certain areas versus saying oh you don't want full body. No!, just lighten up because this is a problem area. She did not even understand the condition! This is nothing more than a typical Green Day spa! MBLEX certification?! Yeah ok. This just ain't it! I went to Mend Me Massage Therapy for the first time with a problem I had with my right shoulder. The masseuse started with the massage and pretty much immediately found the issue with my shoulder. By massage and manipulation I walked out of there with far less pain, less stiffness and the ability to move more freely. This was one of the best massages I have ever had.
