He was not here long before he said he would have to charge more because it was going to take longer than expected, the new registers I bought did not have insulation which he would have to charge for and vents were dirty. I asked how much and he said a couple of hundred. I did not see much choice except to agree but I let him know I was not happy. He seemed extremely nice before he got here so I offered to put the insulation on to help him leave faster. He and his helper were here 1.5 hours. less than the expected 2. I had told him before he came that I had some black mold but he had to leave for a short while to get vent cleaner. I asked for a breakdown for the extra $200. $100 for the insulation I put on and $100 for vents. He said he cleaned my furnace a $100 job for free. That was not my furnace. It was an old wall heater that did not work 50 years ago. I am an old disabled woman on oxygen. When he was leaving I had to ask him to take out some old registers and to put a couple of heavy things back in place. This morning I got a nasty voice mail containing lies he said he told to Angi. He said I had 10 cats (have 5) and he had to clean his machine. My neighbor said the guy did not even clean the ducts right, only one trip up ducts with brush. Neighbor also witnessed much of the job. I would never recommend DustBusters.

Even though my carpet was only a year old it needed some serious TLC. Two rooms in the home had much older carpeting while all the other rooms were a year old. When the owner arrived he instantly made the kids and I comfortable. He assessed the work with me and got straight to work. I was so comfortable with him the kids and I went and ran errands while he worked. He did pick on me saying that my new carpet did not look bad at all. (More on that later.) When we returned home I was 100% satisfied. EVERY room looked fresh and new. Low to no odor. No items were damaged or broken. The carpets looked better then I had hoped even the old (and I mean OLD) ones. He followed up with me that evening to make certain I was satisfied. After telling him I was very pleased he let me know that he was wrong. My "new carpet" that my sweet darlings USED to roam around and create a child buffet on the floor was FILTHY! :) A mom knows when something is dirty even if she can't see it ;) I absolutely and highly recommend Absolute Floor Care of SETX.
