I'm starting to think it's a reason I don't order from Golden Chick. I order two combos and paid 30 something dollars and didn't get my gravy for my Dipping sauce to my Tenders and one honey mustard sauce for 6pcs of Tenders is not enough. I shouldn't have to double check my order if they repeat it and make sure everything is in the bagʻ. Had I would have known I didn't have my gravy and ecmxtra honey mustard I would of went back in the line. But I had drove miles and was ready to go home.. Wow! Tough crowd. (Based on other reviews. LOL!) Well, thankfully the heavens and stars aligned and my first experience at Golden Chick was pretty darned awesome! We happened to have the restaurant all to ourselves and truly enjoyed our visit! Andre was a gracious host-- but more on him later! The hubs and I had heard 'umpteen' times about this chain being "so good" and basically a household name among Texans, so we vowed to make a stop on our next trip to Dallas. Tonight was the night! And, dude -- those YEAST ROLLS! Pillowy, sweet smelling, fresh baked deliciousness! (For the old school Floridians and/or southerners in the house, I finally found a yeast roll comparable to the old Quincy's Steakhouse rolls from back in the day! Dear Lord, YAASSS!) I ordered the tenders and the hubs had the wings! Both meals were cooked to order and DELISH! I liked the dipping sauces as well. The "house sauce" (can't remember what it was called) was a bit too spicy for me, but Andre warned me and I tried it anyway, but opted for the honey mustard. Still a win! The fries were good and the sweet tea was to die for! Now, let's get back to Andre! I shared that we were first timers and had never visited GC, and he took over from there! He was so friendly and helpful in our meal selections, and even surprised me with a yeast roll sample while taking my order. That's when I fell in love. (Hubs got a bit jealous, until I shared with him and then he, too, confirmed the sentiment.) We paid, got our meals, and took a seat in the dining area. You'd think that'd be enough, right? Wrong. While we ate and ogled at our food, Andre came over to our table and surprised me yet again by presenting me with my very own Golden Chick as a souvenir! I squealed with glee, thanked him, and may (or may not) have named him "Goldie" right there on the spot -- while the hubs rolled his eyes! LOL! Now that's what I call a great first visit! So today I went to Golden Chick for the first time. I heard the boneless wings were good, so I got the Korean BBQ boneless wing combo. I also got ranch on the side. I ate half of my meal as you can see. Each wing as I ate it, was dipped in ranch so I didn't notice anything off about the taste, or that it was slightly cold. The rest of my boneless wings I cut apart because I just felt like cutting them up. I then saw this...raw chicken. I called the establishment to check if it was actually raw, or it was precooked and maybe just not heated long enough. Unfortunately for me (my stomach) it was raw. That means I ate half of my meal, and it was raw... The kind person I spoke to was more interested in how much of my meal I ate, instead of my health for eating raw chicken. Zero stars. Went there about 10 they close at 11, had 2 cars in front 1 behind.. I ordered my food, went to the window to get my food, checked it.. my corn nuggets were soggy, very soggy, I asked if I could get more fresh ones because they were soggy.. she said "we're not cooking anymore" I said it's only 10:08, y'all close at 11.. how long does it take to cook? Stopped by to satisfy my craving at my usual go to. Unfortunately, service here has just been getting worse. Asked for a 2 piece catfish meal and you would think they sent somebody to go catch it from trinity river.....it took forever!!!!! Waited for almost 30 min and they did not even bring it out. Usually this Golden Chick does not give me any problems but tonight they did. I pulled up and ordered my meals and usually they ask me what kind of dipping sauce i want but they didn't so not thinking of it i went on an paid for my meals. So then I get home, open my box and THERES NO FUCKING GRAVY! I go BACK to golden chick and ask for some gravy and they said they didn't have any anymore. WHY DIDNT THEY TELL ME THAT WHEN I ORDERED? they forgot to mention that when i was placing my order. Employee acted like she didn't know they were out when we went back up there. My fiance ordered the 2 piece both legs with a large fried okra and a family size fries. The fries werent battered and were cold and the roll was completely smushed! After a spaghetti debacle at my friends house, we decide to go to Golden Chick and get a family meal. When we returned to the house, we realized that all of our sides (3 in total) including the gravy were missing in the order despite it being present on the receipt. Upon our return, we were questioned by both the manager and employee who packaged it who were both insistent that we received everything that was ordered. After a good 5 minutes filled with me explaining the order from top to bottom and what we were missing, the manager finally gave in and gave us 2/3 of the sides that was ordered, even after we specially told him what was missing and showing the receipt. read more

First things first. I should've listened to the reviews on this place. I still gave the place a try, the food was good but the customer service was almost as zero to none. I pulled up to the window to receive my food, and i kid you not. It was at least 3 or 4 workers all gathered around the window looking at a sports game I'm assuming. I proceeded to ask for honey once the lady at the window gave me food, & she proceeded to still stare at the screen & literally only give me 2 honey packets for my tenders... i then get home & realize that i was given fries instead of 2 cookies that i asked for. If I could give this place 0 stars trust me I would in a heart beat! I went to this golden chick for the first time wanted to pass by before I got home so o can feed my family. I paid $40 for my family meal. 16 tenders w/ 2 family sides. (MAC n Cheese and mashed potatoes) ordered gravy and honey mustard. Ordered 6 rolls and gallon sweet tea. I got home 20 min away when I started to take the items out so we could eat I noticed there was no sides, bread or sauces. I was on the phone trying to get a hold someone it was over an hour!!! When they did the lady was rude! I explain my issue and she did not seem to care or even try and make it up to me. They wanted me tu drive back over there for 20 min. Just for sides really! I'm driving 20 min there get sides then drive 20 min back? So basically my tenders stone cold whole my sides are nice and hot? Please real customer service would entitle replacing them whole meal! They always give out old chicken,wicked wings,and chicken strips. No matter what I order it's always old and nasty. And then they get an attitude when you bring it back. My family and a total stranger took back the same thing one day and later on when I went by there and ordered the same thing nothing had changed. It was still hard and old. read more
