Good: Plenty of food options to choose from--great variety on the menu! Bad: Be prepared... they might be out of some items when you get there. The catfish looked absolutely delicious, but don't let appearances fool you-- wasn't good. Wings and flavor was amazing however.

I drove many miles to check out Orange Lee. When I entered the owner greeted me and the other patrons with "Thank you for coming in, appreciate you!" Sentiments like this make it easy for me to support! My order of red beans and rice was hearty and flavorful. We are definitely a "side item" family. The greens were the star of the show, spicy just how we like it. The garlic parm wings were a hit. The fish and shrimp were again seasoned and hearty. Even the tartar sauce understood the assignment. Many wishes of success and growth to Orange Lee!

Tried a spot new to me, I have been hearing all the raving for this black owned and family operated establishment. I love to see it. It was a rush, the customer service and communication was spot on.. and welcoming. They warn you to be ready to wait as food is made fresh to order, I loved the catfish great flavor and fillet size. I will get it again. As for the other items I order today I'm not sure I would get again. There are plenty of wing flavors so i will have to find the one I like. I would also be willing to to try their other options like pasta or fried rice after seeing it. Looked great. The space was a perfect size beautifully decorated. The only down fall I had was the cleanliness, I would have liked that they kept someone around to clean tables regularly and the bathroom. But that can be worked on. If I'm in the area I will keep them in mind.

Pasta was AMAZING! Super creamy & cheesy. I like how the catfish was fried like an oyster, gave it a New Orleans Flare that I liked. Owners are welcoming & very friendly.

Highly recommend! The ambiance is absolutely beautiful all the way through to the bathroom! The service is great and so is the food! I think Everything on the menu sounds, looks and taste good. I definitely want to come back to try more things and my New Orleans boo was surprised to see they actually had "Yakamein" a real New Orleans cultural soup so there's that! This place is truly authentic! The daiquiris are good quality! The beignets were delicious! I got a catfish poboy that did NOT disappoint and the spicy and regular Parmesan wings and crawfish fried rice was off the hook too! And as a saucy girl I really appreciate all the sauces they included in my Togo bag and the hand sanitizers on the tables!

I'm so happy Lancaster Texas has a great spot for the community to order awesome seafood and authentic Louisiana New Orleans flavors. The restaurant is designed in authentic beautiful French Quarter colors orange and blue. Each table has a name on it that represents the culture of the flavorful food. The service is very friendly. It is a family establishment. The cashier today was a 11-year-old girl who was just so adorable and helpful and of course we cannot take away from what makes a restaurant great and that is the flavorful food. I ordered the seafood platter and I asked them to exclude the oysters with extra shrimp which they were willing to accommodate. Now let me address the the food I ordered the seafood platter with shrimps and fish. I didn't get the oysters but the shrimp and fish were delicious. Season to perfection so yummy. I also ordered for dessert. Bread pudding reminds me of my grandmother old school taste so good not too sweet. The texture was just right and the level of sweetness was just right. I also ordered mac & cheese and french fries but unfortunately they were a miss. The fries were not yummy and the mac & cheese was not yummy and I won't order that again, but I will go back and get the main entrée which is the fish and the shrimp. The level is season and flavor was perfect.

Ambiance--A Great decor, good music, clean tables, comfortable chairs Service--A+ Friendly cashiers and servers, allow you to enjoy your meal with asking if you need anything every 5min but ready and willing to provide if you need anything Drinks--B+ Daiquiris and good but not too strong (can't give an A without a full bar) Food--A+ Wings & shrimp fried rice The lemon pepper wings were cooked well, tangy, and well seasoned. The shrimp fried rice portion was generous. The grilled shrimp were large and well seasoned. Soul Food Platter The fried fish was perfect. Well seasoned with a crispy, flavorful coating. The fried shrimp were plump and well seasoned. The Mac and cheese wasn't bad. The collard greens were among the best I've ever paid for. The cornbread was sweet and soft. All in all a great dining experience. I didn't have to use the salt, pepper, or hot sauce they provided at the table. Everything was cooked to order & piping hot. I met the owner and her husband before I left and they were just as friendly as their staff. This is a family owned establishment and you can really tell by the environment and the food. They cook like they care if you come back or not. The only negative I can think of is there is nothing on the menu that offers more than one fish filet. I would definitely be returning to this location.

Loaded Seafood Potato behind it is 8 Cajun lemon pepper wings

I wish I took a better picture. After enjoying a wonderful Valentine's date with my partner, we found ourselves discovering a new food joint. We kind of struggle with picking a food spot and with the paradox of choice always end up picking a place we always eat at. However today we decided to pick a new place to eat at. Upon coming in we were warmly greeted by the person behind the tall counter, asking us if we've been there before. We found them through here on yelp of course, and he patiently let us think and gave us popular suggestions. My partner was trying to eat some wings and I wanted to eat something that didn't require my hands. So we got the seafood loaded baked potato and the Cajun lemon pepper wings. He told us he'd take care of us see ended up eating inside the restaurant. A lot of people were taking their food to go though. The restaurant is small no frills, themed and decorated cafe style. Tables came with hand sanitizer and hot sauces which was nice. After being served our food I was so happy to see the food looked exactly like the professional pictures. Like the baked potato was nicely spread out on the plate at the bottom while the toppings went on top, the sourcream and jalapeños came on the side. The generous amount of seafood was well worth my money. And the wings were so tangy and juicy also well cooked a decent size. The size and the sauce made the wings so delicious and worth every bite. I kind of want to try everything on the menu. I hopefully will come back to try the Poboys since I heard the people around us order that the most.

Orange Lee's is a celebration to NOLA...upon entering it felt like home. We were welcomed with good music, and great customer service. The owner engaged with my daughter who is a PV alum as they recently catered PV's homecoming. They let us look around as we tried to figure out what we wanted to eat. The menu is quite extensive. They even offer Jell-O shots! As we waited on our food, more and more customers came in, which were regulars. We requested to take the food to go as opposed to eating in and surprisingly the food was still hot after we made it back to our daughter's apartment. We all sat in silence as we ate and took sips of the to go daiquiri's. This is a great place with great vibes, and a huge NOLA personality. They have gained a new customer .

Fried rice with shrimp and crawfish

My husband and I placed a to go at the counter on a Saturday afternoon and counter customer service was very friendly and she gave recommendations based on what they have eaten personally. This was greatly appreciated. The lady with the matching bonnet was friendly but can we please go back to simple hairnets. It interfered with the vibe. IMO. We ordered the 6 piece wing, shrimp and sausage fried rice and an Alfredo pasta with shrimp and crawfish and a quart size daiquiri for $15. The total was $68 and we left a $12 tip. I appreciated the owner or chef (not sure) coming to the counter window and greeting the customers and saying he appreciated our patronage. The atmosphere is very vibrant and the smooth R&B streaming makes the 30 minute wait go by quickly. The fried rice although meaty wasn't anything extraordinary in flavor .I longed for the smokey full bodied taste. The cajun lemon pepper wings were overcooked and hard. The sauce was good though.( I did notice that the container sizes seemed significantly smaller than in previous reviews.) The best dish for me was the Alfredo pasta with crawfish and shrimp. It was creamy and the meats added to the dish added extra flavor and made it a winner. The daiquiri was a combo of Hurricane Katrina and Lemon Drop. I wanted to try a different flavor but all the flavors weren't ready. I would like to try the red beans and rice , egg rolls and poboy before I say yes or no to putting this restaurant in my regular rotation.

Spectacular, give me 14 of them right now! This place was amazing. Food portions are great, the menu has so much to offer from pasta, sea food, and wings. Also, the service was wonderful! Must try if you are in the Dallas area. It has seating inside!

Shrimp & crawfish Alfredo and Boudin Egg Roll
    Mandy M.

This place is a hidden gem! Went here on the way to a football game and it was amazing! The poboy was great, and the bread was right. The shrimp and crawfish pasta was delicious. It had a little heat on it and was very well seasoned. The boudin egg rolls were piping hot and ridiculously good. Best part of the meal was the beignets! Dude - we go to New Orleans frequently and these are better than Cafe Du Monde and the French Market. They had a lighter croissant like consistency - best beignets I've ever had! They put their foot in it here!

Worth the wait every time! It WAS a two piece Catfish Shrimp and fries but yeah lol 10/10

We like to eat local whenever possible and thought fish and shrimp would be a good light dinner so we found Krab Kingz and read the reviews. Most of the negative comments were about how long it took, so we prepared for that. Hubby tore into it before I could take a picture. We ordered a fish and shrimp combo online with no problem. I received an email saying it would be ready in 30 minutes so we arrived right on time, expecting a delay. When we arrived it was hot and ready. Now there are several large signs that say Check Your Food Before You Leave. It was kind of crowded and dark in the restaurant but I opened the bag, saw fried fish and fries, and figured the shrimp were under them. Nope, I was wrong. They forgot the fish. It was too late to go back since they were closing by the time we noticed. So if you go CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RESTAURANT! I'd advise you use your phone flash light (afterthought). The fish was fried hard, just like I like it but I couldn't taste seasoning. It also tasted "fishy" to me and that is when I realized that I didn't know what kind of fish it was! The fries and corn were good and they give you condiments and napkins. Overall I really wanted to add this to my Good in Dallas list but I can't. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

The Cajun Kitchen has been here in the Red Bird area of Oak Cliff for 10 years and this was our first visit. Only open M - F from 11 - 5:30p, this is a busy place. Nearly everything is cooked to order. The Gumbo was terrific. I like mine with okra and peppers and onion that I can SEE and it didn't have that, but their smooth spicy dark roux was delicious. I counted 6 large perfectly cooked shrimp in my pint of Gumbo with some diced chicken and sliced sausage and little bits of ham. I also like garlic bread. But honestly, it's hard to be too picky with something this good! Pint - $10.99 Next time, I'll just get it to go and do what I want to it at home. Lol. We also had the posted special - the Catfish Special for $10.99 The Catfish is some of the best that I've had in awhile! The cornmeal is seasoned to perfection, then the fish is fried to perfection and gently cradled on a slice of wheat bread. Um hm. Wheat bread. OMG. Two perfect pieces were served with some AWESOME red beans and rice. I just wasn't feeling fries and a substitution was made for the most glorious red beans and rice! So very good. A can of soda or bottle of water is included. Whole pickled jalapeños are available for 59 cents each. Yes! Have to have some of those, too. I stuffed myself and then took the rest home. As did my husband. For whatever the dining room may have lacked in ambiance, it more than made up in a good time. The A/C was good, the tables were comfortable and the service was friendly, kind and helpful. There's plenty of parking. They have to go and pick up spaces for food out front. BTW There's both baked and fried fish and chicken which sounds amazing. I hope to try both!

I asked the scanning tech working in the Cardiology Clinic who was working with me if by any chance she had eaten there . She acknowledged that she had and the food is prepared according to your request. After my appointment the next step before heading home was at Phat Matt's . It was dark wasn't sure they were opened. The open sign was lit . I turned the door handle to go inside . It was a small place dark with chairs and a table or two . Gave off vibes you can sit while you wait for you order to be prepared but once ready paid for proceed out the door you came in. . There wasn't any customers inside just a young man probably no more than 22 working by himself. The menu is posted on the wall in colorful chalk written by someone with a nice penmanship. My eyes focused on the catfish category on the wall. Oh before I forget its a "Cash Only" business . I had to look inside my wristlet to make sure I had money to pay for my meal. Some of the chalk writing was smeared . I learned the cook on duty when I visited was named Jacoby. He was average height thin he looked a little tired or maybe lacking some energy. He came to the counter to see if I was ready to place my order. I responded I was . I started out stating for me what I didn't want. On my 3pc catfish basket I did not want any hushpuppies or a slice of white bread cut in half or possibly toasted to be included. I didn't time Jacoby but its wasn't too long of a wait . I asked him if I could take pictures of the menu in case I wanted to stop by again if the food was good after my next appointment at the VA The food was smelling good nice and hot . My food was in a little paper basket inside a white paper bag . I grabbed a few napkins nearby. There was a tip jar in the counter . I left a couple of dollars as I picked up my order inside the white bag he had gently placed on the counter. Thank God for safe traveling grace and arriving mercies to my home . I stopped by QT on my way home to get a large frozen coke . Surprisedly the food was still pretty hot from my nineteen miles journey. I forgot to request my fish be fried hard paper on the side of the basket . I smelled it strongly from the moment I picked up my order from the counter. Fries were nestled under the three flaky crispy filets. The fries were soft kinda soggy but edible. I was able to eat this meal and enjoy for a couple of days . I plan to stop by again whenever I have my next appointment at the VA. Chef's ‍ kiss
