Now for the FOOD! 8 wings (all flats) w fried rice 9/10: instead of the fries, appreciated they had the option to change to the fried rice. It was perfectly seasoned but the soy sauce was definitely needed. Wing flavor was mild buffalo and the flavor was just ok. They were well seasoned and sauced. 8 wings w/ fries 8.5/10: I ordered the Cajun lemon pepper wings and they were sauced up! Great flavor, perfect amount or heat and nice size wings. The fries were nice a crispy. Hush puppies 7/10: these were okay. I wish there was some type of sauce that came with them but you get like 6 small pieces. Tried a spot new to me, I have been hearing all the raving for this black owned and family operated establishment. I love to see it. It was a rush, the customer service and communication was spot on.. and welcoming. They warn you to be ready to wait as food is made fresh to order, I loved the catfish great flavor and fillet size. I will get it again. As for the other items I order today I'm not sure I would get again. There are plenty of wing flavors so i will have to find the one I like. I would also be willing to to try their other options like pasta or fried rice after seeing it. Looked great. The space was a perfect size beautifully decorated. The only down fall I had was the cleanliness, I would have liked that they kept someone around to clean tables regularly and the bathroom. But that can be worked on. The restaurant is designed in authentic beautiful French Quarter colors orange and blue. Each table has a name on it that represents the culture of the flavorful food. The service is very friendly. It is a family establishment. The cashier today was a 11-year-old girl who was just so adorable and helpful and of course we cannot take away from what makes a restaurant great and that is the flavorful food. I ordered the seafood platter and I asked them to exclude the oysters with extra shrimp which they were willing to accommodate. Now let me address the the food I ordered the seafood platter with shrimps and fish. I didn't get the oysters but the shrimp and fish were delicious. Season to perfection so yummy. I also ordered for dessert. Bread pudding reminds me of my grandmother old school taste so good not too sweet. The texture was just right and the level of sweetness was just right. I also ordered mac & cheese and french fries but unfortunately they were a miss. The fries were not yummy and the mac & cheese was not yummy and I won't order that again, but I will go back and get the main entrée which is the fish and the shrimp. I met the owner and her husband before I left and they were just as friendly as their staff. This is a family owned establishment and you can really tell by the environment and the food. They cook like they care if you come back or not. The only negative I can think of is there is nothing on the menu that offers more than one fish filet. 3rd update- the owner of this business is truly WILD. I left a review here and on google stating that in my opinion the food was NASTY and that it tasted and appeared old. They have responded saying they kept video of our visit in case they need to take legal action lol. More importantly, if there are so many people satisfied with the food, please move on and focus on them. You can't sue us all and you don't need to keep video evidence of people ordering. We know we ordered lmao. Our order included catfish and shrimp, chicken Alfredo and a kids tender and fries. Chicken Alfredo had zero flavor besides red pepper. The sauce was cold and they use penne noodles that are too thick and don't complement the dish. I felt like I was eating a plate of nothingness because it lacked flavor. The Fish and kids meal we received were both old. Looked and tasted like it had been sitting for a very long period and then reheated. The daiquiris tasted like gasoline. No concept of actual flavor just straight cheap liquor. I will never visit this place again it was a waste of money and the worst chicken and fish spot we have gone to: Everything went to the trash. We were with two other parties and they stated all of their food was nasty except the fried rice. The lemon pepper chicken they ordered didn't have any lemon pepper on it. Tables came with hand sanitizer and hot sauces which was nice. After being served our food I was so happy to see the food looked exactly like the professional pictures. Like the baked potato was nicely spread out on the plate at the bottom while the toppings went on top, the sourcream and jalapeños came on the side. The generous amount of seafood was well worth my money. And the wings were so tangy and juicy also well cooked a decent size. The size and the sauce made the wings so delicious and worth every bite. The sauce was good though.( I did notice that the container sizes seemed significantly smaller than in previous reviews.) The best dish for me was the Alfredo pasta with crawfish and shrimp. Where do I begin? I went to college in New Orleans and always dreamed of bringing my wife and kids back one day so they could experience it. But after visiting Orange Lee's today, we realized we don't even have to travel back to New Orleans anymore. The hospitality here instantly reminded me of my four years living in New Orleans. We ordered the daiquiris and it immediately transported me back to Bourbon Street. My wife had the Alfredo chicken pasta and it was absolutely delicious! The spices and flavor reminded me of my old dorm mate's mother who used to cook for us back in New Orleans. My kids had the crawfish, and let me tell you, they already want to come back for more. I stopped in for the first time to try the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. I got a cup. It was very watery and lacked flavor in my opinion. Maybe its because I came in after 8 pm on a Friday night. The Alfredo was so spicy and lacked seasoning. Had it been seasoned may have canceled out the spice. The wings were cooked well but basically naked, absolutely no lemon pepper seasoning. Taste like they used nothing but salt. They advertise cook to order which accounts for wait time(who doesn't want fresh food), but they should also ensure orders are accurate. The wife is always hard at work tearing down that kitchen, and her husband is cool behind the counter. It's a family atmosphere so the vibe is always chill. Plus the smooth R&B mix makes you feel like you're at your auntie's crib waiting on the next plate! I come here when I don't feel like cooking at home because I'm never disappointed.
