Been living in this area for over 10yrs and always see the billboard sign for this place. The Philly steak sandwich in the pic looks delicious and after reading some of the reviews, I finally decided to stop by. The place is small, nothing fancy bout it. Kind of plain Jane but at least it was clean. But it's all bout the food. The staff was very nice and friendly. I ordered the 5" Philly-z with all the toppings (mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, banana peppers) and pepper jack cheese. It was delish. Best part of combo. The combo came with fries or onion rings and a fountain drink. Total was $11 and some change. Pricing was good/fair. I ordered the onion rings bc most of the reviews I read raved bout them. But unfortunately that was my least fave part of the combo. They just weren't crispy enough, more so like the moisture got to them. As for flavor, I didn't taste anything special bout them. Think I'm going to put them in the air fryer at hm and let them crisp up some, then they'll be better. They also had a jalapeño ranch dip and I think the other is a house sauce called Zach's something. Both were ok. The sandwich really didn't need any sauce anyway, it was delish on its own. Bread was soft, and not too much bread which let the meat shine more. Overall I'd go back. Give them another chance on getting those onion rings crisper. But I'd also like to try the sweet potato fries. read more

This place is . So I was at my homegirls home in DeSoto and got hungry. After driving around I decided to try this place. I had a taste for a homemade hamburger and I'm soooo glad I came to this place. Now the place could be looked at as a whole in the wall possibly but the food was the BEST and that kitchen was CLEAN! The burger was big and juicy. Cheese melted just right, fried was hot and seasoned steak fries. I devoured that food . The service was very good as the cashier guy was very nice and attentive. Really amazing! Everyone is really nice here! This is a largely locals spot, a bit divey and no alcohol, like most of Lancaster, but that is unnecessary. They do not deliver (they need to fix that)! But, pretty sure they do on some services, though not on UberEats, for some reason. Fast isn't their specialty, but being consistently good definitely is! Dad always gets the Footlong Cheesesteak Combo. It feeds him for like 3 meals for about $25. I go for Fried Pickles w Jalapeño Ranch every time, and neither ever disappoint. I got a flat tire and I was on the highway, and was able to get to Zac's Philly Steaks and Shakes. I don't know how to change a tire. I went into Zac's establishment this time not to eat. I needed to see if there was someone that could change the tire for me. So the girl called a man that works there and he came out and was ready to save a damsel in distress.
