Value is great, the prices are crazy reasonable! 5" Philly, 4 wings and fries for $11! The wings were great! However the bread for both our Phillies was cold and hard! Like out of the fridge cold! My wife couldn't eat hers but I let mine sit for 5min and it was ok once the meat warmed the bread. Bread was also hard, not fluffy like many reviews. Flavor was good, but hard cold bread was a deal breaker for us.

Been living in this area for over 10yrs and always see the billboard sign for this place. The Philly steak sandwich in the pic looks delicious and after reading some of the reviews, I finally decided to stop by. The place is small, nothing fancy bout it. Kind of plain Jane but at least it was clean. But it's all bout the food. The staff was very nice and friendly. I ordered the 5" Philly-z with all the toppings (mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, banana peppers) and pepper jack cheese. It was delish. Best part of combo. The combo came with fries or onion rings and a fountain drink. Total was $11 and some change. Pricing was good/fair. I ordered the onion rings bc most of the reviews I read raved bout them. But unfortunately that was my least fave part of the combo. They just weren't crispy enough, more so like the moisture got to them. As for flavor, I didn't taste anything special bout them. Think I'm going to put them in the air fryer at hm and let them crisp up some, then they'll be better. They also had a jalapeño ranch dip and I think the other is a house sauce called Zach's something. Both were ok. The sandwich really didn't need any sauce anyway, it was delish on its own. Bread was soft, and not too much bread which let the meat shine more. Overall I'd go back. Give them another chance on getting those onion rings crisper. But I'd also like to try the sweet potato fries.

This place is . So I was at my homegirls home in DeSoto and got hungry. After driving around I decided to try this place. I had a taste for a homemade hamburger and I'm soooo glad I came to this place. Now the place could be looked at as a whole in the wall possibly but the food was the BEST and that kitchen was CLEAN! The burger was big and juicy. Cheese melted just right, fried was hot and seasoned steak fries. I devoured that food . The service was very good as the cashier guy was very nice and attentive. The food was good and hot and this will be my new eating place when I'm in DeSoto. Highly recommend 10/10.

Just good. My husband loves his food too. The shakes are his fave too. Ambiance is great. Will be back. I have been going to Zac's for some time. I am literally obsessed with the Philly cheesesteak. Today, I had an interesting situation happen. I got a flat tire and I was on the highway, and was able to get to Zac's Philly Steaks and Shakes. I don't know how to change a tire. I went into Zac's establishment this time not to eat. I needed to see if there was someone that could change the tire for me. So the girl called a man that works there and he came out and was ready to save a damsel in distress. It was dreadfully hot (98 degrees). He did this for me. I said, I love your Philly Cheesesteak. He said that's my recipe. I said, I must of heard him wrong. Then before he finished I said what is your name? He said, Zac. He won himself a loyal customer for life. I do not suggest you come here to change a tire...but do your stomach a favor and come taste their food. You will not be sorry.

This place is in a bit of a strange spot but...the food is awesome! Fries are always fresh and tasty. Tons of variety for the cheesesteak sandwiches and they hit the spot. Well, pull off the freeway. Had a run to go to Dallas. Thought I'd stop by and try their Philly cheesesteak. The location was clean. The service was good. And the Philly cheesesteak was average. The one cool thing about ordering a Philly cheesesteak from here. I said you can put any type of sides that you want on your order. I would recommend this place. Something quick and easy. Umph! Well, came due to the hype on yelp and maybe I went on a wrong day. I got a cheesesteak with onions, bell peppers, jalapeños and provolone. 1st these cheesesteaks are very small 2nd, I'm still looking for the onions, bell peppers and cheese. The only thing I noticed and could recognize were the jalapeños. The meat reminded me of the steak'ums meat you buy at Walmart. The bread was awesome, very soft. Food is always cooked fresh to order! The team is nice and helpful. The half and half steak and chicken with sweet potato fries is my go to! This is a great spot to pick up to eat at home or even nice to sit inside and not too crowded. I recommend to call 15-20 minutes before you'd like to pick up. read more

Really amazing! Everyone is really nice here! This is a largely locals spot, a bit divey and no alcohol, like most of Lancaster, but that is unnecessary. They do not deliver (they need to fix that)! But, pretty sure they do on some services, though not on UberEats, for some reason. Fast isn't their specialty, but being consistently good definitely is! Dad always gets the Footlong Cheesesteak Combo. It feeds him for like 3 meals for about $25. I go for Fried Pickles w Jalapeño Ranch every time, and neither ever disappoint. Anyway, probably the place I look forward to going to the most in Lancaster, which is a lot of chains that get run into the ground. Definitely way better than all of those read more

I was in Dallas and my cousin saw this spot on maps. I went and ordered the cheesesteak with onion rings and a soda. It was delicious! I love provolone cheese in my cheesesteak and they were able to do that. The onion rings were a decent size, not too big and not small. The food was seasoned just right. Customer service is fast and friendly. However, the inside of the set up is your traditional fast food joint. Recommend taking your food to go however, the seating area not the best. read more

I just had to get my special today .. you get some much food for $10.99. I've tried to order this special via door dash. But it wasn't an option , they only offer this special to walk in customer. It consists of a half of Philly cheesesteaks sandwich, 4 wings with your choice of flavors (lemon pepper, bbq, buffalo, garlic Parmesan, etc ) , and a drink for only $10.99, For $1.50 more I added chili and cheese to my fries . I absolutely love this place !!! read more

Stopped by last week to try out Zac's due to the reviews and pictures here on Yelp. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich (grilled onions, bell peppers & provolone cheese) with onion rings. The sandwich was okay, I wasn't really impressed. The texture and the flavors just weren't my preference. However the onion rings were on point, they were battered and fried to perfection. The staff was welcoming and my wait was short. I wouldn't get the philly cheesesteak again, but I'm open to trying more from their menu. read more

My wife and I just tried Zac's and I am so upset that we didn't find this place sooner. The staff were really professional and polite and it was good and clean inside. We both had the same Cheese steak with some sweet potato fries. It was delicious and a must try for anyone who likes cheese steak. They had a good selection on their menu as well. When he sold or was bought out Big Tony's has went downhill ever since, I've seen people order food from our so called kinfolk and get charged an extra 1.00 or so just for using a debit/credit card to pay for their order. That's just greedy and unprofessional in this day and age when everything is debit, credit, or tap and cash is being phased out. ‍ The worst part is I've seen them quote a customer a certain amount for their order, the said customer looks at their receipt and then say why it is more and the cashier says oh we charge a fee if you don't pay with cash. I'm through with Big Tony's I'd rather drive to Plano to the other Big Tony's.

Went to meetup there with my brother after he got off work and he said the Cheesestaeks were good so I had the same thing he ordered which was a 5" Philly Cheesestaek Combo with Fries & a Drink the order came out pretty quick and it looked and smelled great once we got to eating i was very impressed with the whole combo taste and all as well as the service made me want to come back for another round as I was in hog heaven ,so I came back a week later and nothing failed whatsoever great place & great food as well as great atmosphere as well as great service. read more

All I can say is...find this place...you'll be glad you did! I'm a PA native and these cheese steaks are the real thing! Fantastic deal for the dollar...actually felt like I underpaid! Very friendly service and even met the owner...who (after some conversation) even asked my name! Seasoning on the onion rings was very unusual but subtle...not overpowering...but definitely different from the normal fried variety! Pretty Good Philly Cheese Steaks, I just now ordered a Burger on the and about to go try it. Great Location. Only thing that I see that really doesn't bother me but it kinda does, is that I think it needs a bigger location and I haven't really seen the same employee more than 3 times.
