Love Golden corral it's clean great service great people great food, but I eat too much !

Not as good as it used to be. I love the Carrot Cake and mostly icing anymore. The Carrot Cake isn't as tasty as it was when it was two layers. As a single person I was overlooked by the waiter more than those with couples at the table. The food is mediocre and hard to communicate with staff, as they speak Spanish. Apparently, they don't know they are in America. As an American born citizen, it upsets me to hear people not speaking English. They want our money and live in our country, but not speak our language. Hopefully the roads will be better next time and I can go to the Golden Corral in Henderson. The floors were dirty. read more

Very unhappy with the manager Mike my daughter has had bypass surgery he did let her have a to go box but made her feel very uncomfortable by telling her she had to much steak and it would weigh to much she wanted to leave it the very nice cashier weighed it .73 was a lot lower than he said I was going to pay difference the cashier was Eric very nice gentleman my waitress was very nice also her name is Brittany. All the staff was more interested in playing on their cell phone sitting at a table or talking in the back then on waiting on customer and making sure the buffet bar was full or for that matter grilling any food was charged full price but did not get full buffet no one was running the grill and because apparently when you have 20 minutes or more before closing, you don't put out more food but you pay for it. They do not make you feel like you are only that they want you to leave. read more

So the whole Covid thing is one thing but when you ask em to wear gloves after I have my food in my hand already is a bit absurd. Here's why, had to place my plate on top of the warmer light, which by the way has a layer of dust dirt and grease on it. Get your priorities right first. I'm writing this as I sit in the parking lot thinking about what legitimately just happened. My card has a bad chip and sometimes it doesn't work, so my husband went to get the credit card out. The lady with blond hair sitting in a chair cancelled the order before we we would even speak. As he grabbed his card she literally huffed and made it out to be a huge deal, because she had to re-ring everything in. The best buffet style restaurant ever. according to my husband. This location operated like a well oiled machine. Customers were herded into single file lines by the staff. They were also enforcing the mask and glove policy at the time. We were there for breakfast which must have recently reopened. Apparently there are many regulars for the breakfast buffet and it was nice to hear them getting caught up on each others lives while waiting in line. This salad and fresh food stations had so many choices in all of them looked in good condition. The heavier cafeteria staples like eggs and biscuits and bacon we're getting regular refills in freshening so I never worried about getting dried out buffet food. Everyone in my family got a little bit of something for meet station selection and everyone was happy and very full when they left. There was a lot of staff in restaurant but tableservice was kind of slow. He was so busy that I thought they were doing pretty good job considering. I would definitely go back if I ever wanted giant buffet style meal, especially if my husband had anything to say about it. read more

Obviously not a five star restaurant, but as far as Golden Corrals go this is a fine location. Clean eating areas, decent food, pretty good selection. We stopped in with a few family members on our way back from a trip out of town - it had been a few years since the last time I had been in and the place has improved a lot. It just definitely feels like you're being pushed out to feed more people. If all-you-can-eat buffets focusing on American style food are your style, definitely pick this place. But there are a few other places on the east side that are much better if you're willing to drive a couple more miles. read more

Food is not as good as it used to be. Steak is overcooked for what it is labeled. Desserts are not as good. Cake is now already cut and plated making it dry. Was very busy and our waitress did the best she could but is was obvious they needed a few more people working. On june 28th me and my husband and sister in law was in there. While we were eating a lady walked by us with a puppy in a carrier and the manager was talking to her and looking at the dog and when she left the servers followed her our the door to look at the dog.. Went. To the restroom and there was shit on the toilet seat so told one of the managers and he told me that somebody was going in there to clean it. We ate at the Golden Corral in Evansville. The food was ok. Its not the way I cook food but I do find things that I can eat. People complains about the restrooms. If people would clean up after themselves then the restroom wouldn't be so bad. In order to keep the restrooms cleaned all the time they would have to go in everytime someone went in there. People say its not mine so why clean up my mess. You wouldn't like it if someone came in your bathrooms at home and messed it up there, so don't do it in public places. Your not going to get the food just perfect. People that works there cooks their way. You just have to adjust to it. You get what you get. I don't like everything they cook there, but I do find some things I do like. The workers tries their best to keep your tables cleaned off the best they can and try to keep your glasses filled up. They can't be at your table all the time , they have other tables to do as well. So lets stop complaining and just try to help out to make things easier for everyone. Just enjoy being out, being with friends and family and be polite to the workers. You might find out its not as bad as you think.
