They set up his test and Michelle picked my son up 1 hour before his test. She gave him pointers and according to my son, she was really cool. The owner of this company was reliable and gave great customer service. He was able to accommodate my needs in a timely manner and was available to answer all my questions. He is a multi tasked and a go getter very driven and ambitious in his field and provided great customer service. As far as the lessons went, it was good considering I had previous driving experience so that helped me out a lot. The vehicle he used for the actual lesson is a Toyota Prius and mostly you will be driving in or around the Glendale surrounding neighborhoods, unless otherwise you note to the instructor you would like to drive out of his zone areas. I have recently gotten my license through golden eagle driving school's programs and I do have mixed feelings about it. Let me preface this with I received three two hour lessons, and passed the test with only one mistake. It undoubtedly helped me. Also, always always make a driving appointment through them and take the test in their car. It is well worth the money, trust me. My instructor was Carmen, and I saw this in a few of the reviews but she really lays on those gas and break pedals. Really, they should only be used if we were going to crash, but she was always on them. I had no idea when she was breaking and when she wasn't. Practicing in my parent's car, i was not breaking near soon enough and it was because I am sure she was breaking the same time I was. Also once when she asked for a lane change, I slowed down and she sped up when there was a car right next to me, and I began to move over and almost ran into the guy! Yikes! When I asked her on my final lesson to at least tell me when she was breaking, she seemed slightly taken aback and did not do as I asked to help me out. Didn't help at all! It was also a little odd how she would bring me back early and get me sooner, often cutting my times slightly short. She also had me veer off of the courses we were practicing in Glendale to go to her car, or to what I assumed was her apartment complex, and had me sitting in the car for about 15 minutes DURING my lesson! More than focusing on me, I was transportation at times, and paying her to be so. Also, more than once she needed to reschedule my appointments so last minute! I had commitments and sometimes had to cut them short, even though I had previously made the appointment, and the night before they needed to be changed. As far as her driving instructions, she knew the routes well, so I was able to learn them and perfect them very quickly in order to pass the test. However, when asked about technicalities that constitute immediate failure, as well as what I needed to work on, she had no idea what to tell me. In addition, she only showed me hazard lights and turn signals in the car, so I was unable to locate two different things on the preliminary driving exam, which constituted a deduction. In addition, she showed me the WRONG hand signals! I corrected what I knew to what she had showed and ended up getting it wrong. However, I would recommend this institution because it was inexpensive, helpful, and had extensive route knowledge. However, if you are a first time driver or looking for better support from your instructor, I would not recommend Carmen. read more

I was a bit scared of driving when I started lessons with Gary, but after one lesson, I already felt more comfortable on the road. I wanted to practice as much as I could before taking the test, and with Gary's help, I was able to pass it after one week, with ten hours (5 lessons). The lessons were slightly costly, depending on what you consider costly, but it was definitely worth it. Just came to say Thank You to the chilliest driver instructor. As of today, I passed my behind-the-wheel test with a perfect score. My first test was unsatisfactory because I decided to take it on my own, the second time I took it with Gary, BOOM! This driver instructor know the in's and out's of the DMV routes, what they are looking for, and when learning to drive with him, he will treat you to a 7-Eleven break after 1 hour. Gary is also super friendly, funny, and is great to talk to. The best thing I can say is that he is very patient, I canceled over 3 appointments and he was totally fine with it. A friend of my remanned me this driving school. So, I decided to give them a try. I told them I flunked the dmv road test. When my first lesson was threw I asked about the freeway driving. They told me it was a different package. I checked their web page & they don't have any mention of a freeway package. I call & complained about their freeway deal. They told my the DMV does not do freeway road testing. I explain. That the dmv does require freeway testing. They wouldn't budge on the freeway thing. Telling me it would be $50 extra. I believe this driving school only helps new drivers. They real should up date their web site. Also, do some reacher on the DMV road test for god sakes. read more

I was already losing hope that i will pass behind the wheels test, until she helped me overcome fears and focus on my working knowledge which to her was enough to pass. I have just passed my driving exam on my first try!! I am so glad to have taken driving lessons with Golden Eagle Driving School. I was looking for a driving school that was a reasonable price with a reasonable plan. The price range I found was about $500 and higher with an unreasonable plan. Like 500 dollars and 2 hour training... So when I found Golden Eagle I was so happy to find a $400~430 plan that had a 10 hour training. I then read through reviews in yelp and found that I will give it a try. I was a first time driver and had absolutely no experience in driving. On the first day I had Carmen. She was a bit quick on explaining and I was doing really bad at the start. But she was being very patient with me and was very calm. I was able to improve a little by the end of my 2 hour lesson. From the second day to the end 10 hour lesson I had Michelle. She was great!! She was able to tell me what I was doing wrong and how to do it correctly. She was able to answer any questions I had. On the exam day I was able to borrow their car and they made the appointment for me. The price range was from $100~130 depending on where you live. I was able to get a one hour review session before the exam. Gary was the one who was with me on the exam day. He was able to review with me on what I was doing right and what I did wrong. He also gave me last minute tips on what to do for the exam. Overall the instructors were really nice and patient. I felt safe behind the wheel. I have also practiced driving with my mother after the lessons and during the weekdays at night. I highly recommend taking your lessons with Golden Eagle Driving School. Amazing! I called one day to take a driving test and after the instructor found out that my permit expired in 4 days (eek) he was able to book an appointment for the next day!! He then gave me a thorough 1 hour refresher and took me to the DMV with the school car, which has extra mirrors and instructor gas/break so it's easier to pass. I passed my driving test with the first attempt today thanks to Carmen the driving instructor I had. I am so thankful she helped me passed the test. Carmen comes on time, professional, and extremely patient. I had no experience driving and she taught me the techniques and always reminded me if I am over the speed limit or other things that the driving test expects. She gives great instructions and always provides feedback which is great. I felt comfortable driving because she is so sweet and calm and that's what we need when we starting driving. The great thing about these lessons is that you drive around the DMV (Glendale) so you can be comfortable on the way of the exam. I recommend this driving school! I was prepared for the driving test within a week (3 classes and 1hr review before the test) and passed my driving test. I took classes with Carmen; she is calm, professional, and friendly. They worked well with my schedule which is great because I was in a time crunch.
