I highly recommend Gary's Golden Eagle Driving School to anyone, especially if you are a new and/or nervous driver!! A week ago, I would have said that I hated driving. I am a college student and delayed getting my license because of some bad experiences in the past. But now, thanks to Gary and his patient and talented team, I have my license and enjoy driving a lot more! Both of my instructors, Carmen (my first 4 lessons) and Gary (my last 2 lessons), were extremely prompt, patient, and helpful. They took me around the Glendale DMV (where I tested), cycling through routes/maneuvers commonly used on the test. Carmen put me at ease when I was behind the wheel. She offered me helpful pointers without startling me or distracting me from driving. I never thought I'd be ready to take the drive test after just a week of practice, but Carmen helped give me the confidence I needed. Plus she was very kind and friendly! Before scheduling my DMV test, Gary personally wanted to make sure I was ready, giving me a lesson the day before the test and the morning of. I really appreciated that he took the time to help me out so close to the test date, and his teaching style helped me become a better driver. He was very patient and offered clear and valuable advice! In terms of the actual drive test, Gary's DMV road test package made things really simple for me. He worked out all the details (e.g. registration, using his driving school car, pick-up/drop-off) and I just had to relax and remember everything I learned. Naturally, I got nervous the day of the test, but it went well and I passed on my first try! I couldn't have done it without Gary's Golden Eagle Driving School. I had failed my behind the wheel test on two occasions and was looking for a driving school which will correct all my mistakes and make me pass the test. Having looked at several reviews I found Golden Eagle Driving School in Glendale very promising. I was extremely fortunate to have Carmen as my instructor. She was awesome, very professional and had the most amazing communication skills. Carmen's driving instructions were so musical and calming. She had great patience. After every lesson she spent time to explain road rules, speed limits and how I should improve. Her step by step approach to teach me the necessary skills were exemplary. Driving through intersections, turns and lane changes were thoroughly rehearsed so much so I was very confident in its execution. The manner in which Carmen guided me through my entire driving lessons made me pass my test without a single mistake. I will recommend with great confidence Carmen to anyone in Glendale or in the vicinity wanting to get the California Driver License. I LOVE GOLDEN EAGLE. I took lessons with both Carmen and Gary and they are two of the nicest, most patient people I have ever met. Not only did they teach me to be a responsible and safe driver, but they helped me pass my test at Glendale DMV. I did 10 hours of lessons with them (mainly with Carmen who is PHENOMENAL) and they scheduled my appointment at the DMV, picked me up before the test and helped me handle all the paper work. They have excellent, competitive driving lesson rates-- better than most other schools in the area. Carmen and Gary both made me feel confident as a new driver and took the time to teach me how to drive defensively. Even though Carmen took me to the test, Gary also surprised me and showed up to my test at the DMV to show his support. It was so sweet that they both took the time to be there for the test, because it really made me feel like they believe I am a good driver...and I passed! I definitely recommend taking lessons at this school. I've always had anxiety when it comes to learning to drive. My permit was almost going to expire, and I contacted them via their website asking for lessons. They were quick to reply and had availability. I ended up taking 6 hours (2 hours for 3 days). I took the lessons one day right after another, and on the 4th day I took my driving test and passed! It was my first time taking the test, and after just 3 days I already felt so much more confident in my driving. Gary was my instructor for the first day and helped me understand the basics of driving, backing, and turning in commercial and residential Burbank/Glendale area. Carmen was my instructor for the next 2 days that it was raining, and helped me focus on what the driving examiners would be looking for. I learned to drive from Gary at the Golden Eagle Driving School and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. Clear, patient, and funny, Gary did a great job of teaching me the ropes and accommodating me in the times that worked for my schedule. I actually failed the driving test the first time around through no fault at all of the school, rather a stupid nervous mistake, and Gary was able to change his schedule around and talk with the DMV extensively so that I could take the test again the following day at a different DMV, picked me up, drove me out there, watched me pass without any troubles, and then drove me back to my home although it was quite a distance, plus traffic. Definitely happy I went with the recommendation I received about Golden Eagle and I'm more than happy to recommend them on to both new and more experienced drivers. read more

Best driving school. Super accommodating​ to changing lesson times and also helps you to schedule the behind-the-wheel test at the Glendale DMV should you want to use their car for the test (Toyota Prius). The streets you practice on are all around the Glendale neighborhood and you can even request to practice on the freeway if your instructor thinks you're ready. There's a variety of skills you learn and my instructor gave the clearest instructions and was very patient with me. I passed the behind-the-wheel test on my first try! Also, the price is probably one of the most affordable that I've seen - definitely get the 10hr package if you're a new driver. I bought my permit once i was 18 home in Latin America and somewhat crashed the vehicle the very first time I gone out on your own. I increased deathly scared of didn't and driving push once again till I transformed 25 and began getting courses with Carmen within Glendale. More importantly I learned to not be afraid of driving, although not only have I now passed my driving test. This possibly the best driving program in Glendale! I recently passed my driving test on my first try after taking just three lessons (6 hours) and I couldn't be any happier! The cars that they provide for practice are in great condition and easy to drive. The lessons definitely gave me the exact pathway of the driving test which guaranteed little to no surprises when it came to taking the test. i am not the easiest guys to rate 5 stars for a service, i couldn't resist in the case of golden eagle driving school. I had Gary take me through the driving lessons. He was well informed, very clear in his instructions, and gives ample tips while driving. Importantly, he is very witty and calms you down before you get to the test- which is so important .i had make a switch from right hand side drive to the left and Gary helped me through sail the test with a couple of classes...I would def. recommend this school to all my buddies!! read more

This driving school is awesome. I took 8 hours behind the wheel training and passed my driving test the first time. I took my test today and i already have my temporary license. The instructor is always on time and a couple of times even earlier. HE IS NEVER LATE! The car is new and easy to maneuver. The instructor is calm, patient and kind. I had 16 hours for practicing driving and passed the test. They were very nice and chill, tell you what to do. You will drive nice brand new Toyota prius. It has lots of assistances for driving. Also I didn't know that they would take an appointment at Glendale DMV any time soon even though you can't do it online because it's full. If you go this school you should just call them before you take appointment in DMV. read more
