This place would have EASILY a 5 star however I removed a star because they specifically asked me to leave a larger tip than I gave!!!! Aye. Ok I'll be the first to admit that I gave him too little but in Arizona it is very normal to tip a small percentage at these reflexology places. After a wonderful massage it just felt awkward and tense. I have never been asked to give more of a tip before without even a thank you. It just felt weird. Someone was coming to pick me up and when they got there, I had realized that I had more cash so I tipped him more and again didn't get a thank you . To get to the actual massage experience. It was awesome. The "private" room was private enough in my opinion and my masseuse was amazing. My body feels totally refreshed!!! I don't live in the state but I will recommend it to my sister who lives on the island. If I would have known the proper tipping etiquette that may have made this a less awkward experience. But I still say if someone tips you even if it is less thank you like you should always say thank you! read more

I bought a groupon from here and used it seamlessly one day after work for an amazing 90minute massage. The ambiance isn't wonderful, I prefer my massages in a room as opposed to curtain made walls & doors. The place is very dated, not luxurious but once your eyes are closed none of that matters and you drift away into 90 minutes of heaven on Earth. I left a very generous tip, it was funny because they looked at me as if I had made a mistake but the massage was just that good in my opinion. I went back a few weeks later and had a different girl give me a massage, she was just as amazing. I had decided THIS was my place. Until i was verbally assaulted on my way out. I admit, I normally won't purchase a service groupon twice, although nowhere does it say "first time customers only". And my first visit I tipped almost the cost of the massage. I anticipated him being upset and I would have apologized and promised to never use groupon again; It's the way he yelled at me as if I was a deaf child with comprehension difficulty that I can't get over. Like it was a spectacle, he was legit yelling at me in the middle of the lobby. I politely turned to the nice girl who gave my massage, tipped her, thanked her, and told her that her manager was a lunatic before I went on my way. The best massage I've ever gotten, hands down (no pun intended). It's usually very easy to get an appointment (even same-day). There was only once I wanted to go on a Sunday evening but they said they were short-staffed and were too busy. I've had a few different masseuses here and they've all been top-notch. So this past Sunday afternoon, I decided to spoil my mother and book a 2 hour massage for both her and I as part of her "76th birthday weekend celebration " .. It has been a while since I last visited " Golden Foot Spa " ... I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the spa was under new management / ownership ...One would notice as soon as you were to walk through the doors !!! They have renovated the spa and have made some really great aesthetic changes in the decor !!! Personally , I always appreciate stuff like this - such as the front desk now having the proper Feng Shui - it is now positioned in the proper location - welcoming to all !!! We were graciously greeted as soon as we walked in by the lovely young lady sitting behind the desk . Under new management , the reception / waiting area has been freshened up with new furniture and paint ... The massage area has also been given a makeover - I noticed fresh lighter colored paint on the walls to go along with the new chic room dividers that were installed - giving the area a modern , clean , chic feel !!!! Now all that is great but let's be honest - what really matters to me is - how do the massages still fare at the new Golden Foot Spa ???? As a connoisseur of many great massages in my lifetime - from local no name hidden gems to fancy spas in big chain hotels such as Mandarin Oriental - I can confidently say that my 2 hour massage on Sunday with David was above and beyond - " HEAVEN ON EARTH " - this is what they should rename the 2 hour session with David ... No other establishment around can beat the prices of this place nor the services !!! My wish though is that if clients truly appreciate the service rendered - show it / tip for the service you received - not the price in pamphlet !! She was very attentive and knowledgeable in working out the areas I had the most knots and she was very sweet. I like that this place is so clean!! While the massage was one of the best I've ever had. There is some privacy issues. Each cubicle does not really have a door to it but only a curtain and as the masseuse goes back-and-forth the curtain is opened a little too much. As I'm laying on my stomach I hear people walking back and forth and sometimes the masseuse talks to them and opens the curtain. Not nice! I hope they get a little bit better with the privacy issues as I would like to return. As I left and gave a tip to the woman she opened the curtain to another room & there was a naked man in my view. The lady at the front desk spoke English unlike some other places where communication is the hard part. The massage Itself was very relaxing and the lady knew what she was doing. Despite choosing "medium" pressure instead of "hard", I was in a lot of pain throughout the massage. I asked a few times for him to be "gentler" or "softer" but it didn't seem to make a difference. At one point he even laughed and said "it's good soreness." I went in with zero back pain (for context I'm 28 years old) and within 10 hours of receiving the massage, my back became very sore. It hurts to lay down or move certain ways. I've received massages before and never had any kind of pain or soreness after. The masseuse started farting about halfway into the massage. He didn't say excuse me or acknowledge it at all. He did it several times over the next 15 minutes or so before abruptly leaving (I can only assume to use the bathroom) and had a woman step in for him. I enjoyed the 5-10 minutes with her more than the rest of the hour long massage. Looking back I should have specified I would prefer a woman. read more
