Been here multiple times no complaints, even brought my friends and send recommendations. I walked in yesterday and got sent away that it was too busy. I'm just one person, doesn't even ask for what type of service. Walked in at 8pm and they close at 10pm and have stayed longer for my friends, when we came in a group. Anyway, they told me to come in next day, I walk in again and she sends me away as soon as I walk in. I explain to her the situation and she acts like she doesn't understand. Was dying for a massage and found this place on Groupon - after purchasing the Groupon I called to make an appointment and they booked me within the hour - the lady who greeted me was pleasent and led me to a room - where I prepped and the messuage came in about 5 mins later - the massage was good - just know the walls don't go up to the ceiling and the rooms don't have doors instead they have curtains - so you hear everything - they have relaxing music playing loud enough to drown out some of the distraction - but I still heard the person in the next room snoring - read more

Her arms we massaged covered with towel. When he put the bucket of water for my feet I had to put it by my feet. When it was time to pay I said he was terrible nothing was done. Update: I am editing and updating this review, because the day after I originally posted, my girlfriend was in a great deal of pain with bruises all over her back, and felt especially bruised in her right ribs. Almost one week later, she is still in much pain and her ribs are extremely bruised, sore and painful. We will not be returning to this place for any massages and would not recommend it, either. _________________________________________ My girlfriend and I scheduled a couples' massage for a belated Valentine's Day gift to one another, and we arrived on time. However, the massage therapists did not start on time, and started approximately 20 minutes late, which completely ruined our dinner plans for later that evening. In addition, they did not ask us once if there were any areas of our bodies which we did not want them to use a great deal of pressure and force on, and overall the massage was extreme deep tissue and very painful. In fact, both my girlfriend and I compared notes after the fact and agreed that rather than being able to relax and enjoy a massage together, we spent most of the 60 minutes, wondering in our own heads where would they touch us next and how much would it hurt! We were never told that the entire massage was of the deep tissue variety and even when we asked them to back off on the amount of pressure, they did not listen. In addition, this was supposed to be a hot stone massage. Instead, the stones were used for approximately two minutes of the entire 60 minute massage. Further, it is very distracting when both massage therapists were speaking to one another and laughing back-and-forth to one another while giving us our massages--not the professional atmosphere we were led to believe existed in your establishment or that we deserved as customers. Additionally, although the lights had been dimmed somewhat, they were not nearly as dim as is customary in a massage establishment. Last, while we appreciate the choice of music that was intended to be relaxing, it wasn't, and more to the point, it was too loud to be relaxing in the first place. read more

First discovered this place on Groupon and after visiting their website found they offered an even better deal, their "happy hour". $30 per 1hr massage before 1:30 on ANY day of the week. I called Sunday morning was able to go in at noon the same day. The location is easy to find and there was plenty of parking out front. There is more parking behind the building. When I arrived, I was taken right back. The area is nicely set up and very quiet. Given the space they have, I think they did a nice job with it. Just so you know, the walls between massage rooms do not go all the way up to the ceiling so you can still hear other massages or when employees speak to one another. I wasn't much bothered by it. My masseuse, wish I got her name, was very very good. I told her medium pressure and wow, she went in on all my knots and tension. It's almost not right to call this a massage, it was body work. She was very systematic, what she did to one side she very evenly did to the otherside. She got into stress points I didn't even know I had. She was quiet the entire time and used her body weight to her advantage. I was on my stomach the entire time but I do know my back needed it the most, since I work on a computer all day and lift weights. My advice, breathe into that pain, it pays off afterwards. I left feeling, honestly, almost drunk (no they don't serve alcohol). I was so unbelievably relaxed. They gave me a stamp card and at this point, I'm already planning my next visit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating the entire time I was there! My recommendations to the staff: add some more essential oils or at least just lavendar. Absolutely obsessed with this place for back massages. Yesterday I had gotten my third massage from this place and it was just as amazing as the past couple of times. Only the second time I can say it was just okay but my first experience and my experience yesterday was amazing. My first time I went here I had a male do my back and he was so thorough and yesterday I had a woman do my back just as thorough and strong. I was really impressed with this because I don't normally get a strong hand that can take out the knots in my back from a female massage therapist. We needed something 'fun and different' for my husbands birthday weekend so I found this Groupon for a couples foot massage with lavender and hot rocks.. (YES PLEASE).. when I tell you run don't walk (pun intended here) and pick up this Groupon! The 'spa' is not large and the outside of the building is going through renovations so you may miss it while driving but don't let that intimate you... you are greeted by a super friendly woman and brought into the back where they have very comfortable lounge chairs to lay on while they give you a pretty intense shoulder neck back and then foot massage. If you are looking for bells and whistles with water falls and candles. Stop reading now. That's not what you'll find here. But what you will find is a small reception area painted in a pretty lavender, soft,tranquil music, with the lights turned down low.. they wrap you in a big fluffy towel, and cover your eyes to help you really get into a zen moment. The soft spoken workers know all the right pressure points to massage. They start out with you sitting on a bench with your feet in a delightful warm bath, and the work on your neck back and shoulders (total bonus because I didn't know this buying the Groupon) and it was NICE! After about 10 minutes they have you change positions and you get to lay on a super comfy lounge chair. It is very peaceful. You are separated by long curtains. But my husband and I were the only ones in there and it was so peaceful laying there him and I alone with no hustle and bustle from anyone else. There are additional services they provide with other rooms towards the back. But we didn't venture into those areas. Lots of certificates on the walls. So I'm assuming everyone is certified. And I did not feel like the massage was anything other than professional. I was able to park right in front of the place and then afterwards we walked a block or two to get a fantastic cup of herbal green tea and a warm scone at anchor coffee.. (check that place out too. Owner was super friendly, and helped make the birthday weekend even nicer ) for the price it was completely worth it. And their specials posted on the wall are fantastic too. Make sure to tip your workers, they work very hard to get you into a place of zen and my husband and I walked out of there like our body's were made of jelly afterwards. I'd totally go back. Unfortunately, I am going to break the 5-star streak FZ Lavender Spa had going on because I simply didn't find the services to be great. No doubt the employees here work their tails off and are very friendly and accommodating. Don't bother making an appointment, you are going to have to wait. The waiting room is stuffy, hot and uninviting. I just expected to walk in and be blasted with the fresh and relaxing scent of lavender. The only thing lavender in the place were the walls. The waiting room has about 4 chairs and even still you are on top of each other (not very COVID friendly.) My boyfriend and I got a Groupon for a 60-minute couples' massage. (I have had massages before, but never a couples so weren't sure what to expect.) They are open till 9PM on Saturdays, and our appointment was at 6PM. We arrived on time and the waiting room was full. We chose to stand outside. Once two seats opened up, we went in, and greeted by a high-energy, yet nervous Asian woman. She told us we'd have to wait a half hour and since we were already looking forward to getting the massage we didn't mind waiting. She continuously apologized for making us wait. There was a couple waiting that went in only a few minutes before us. A woman came in after us and was also complaining about her appointment time not being honored and that "this happens all the time." Once we got into the massage area, there was a long corridor which were individual rooms. There was an open area with four lounges covered with towels separated by a shower curtain. The person who arrived after us also was ushered into this area. We all say on the respective lounge chair and waitied for instructions. Already, I was feeling uneasy about this massage. In my experiences, massages should be private and this looked very "public." I suppose that was only a second waiting room because soon after we went into our individual rooms. They told us the only had single rooms available and couldn't accommodate our couples' massage. This was not a big deal for me. I kind of prefer being by myself. The staff left a basket on the table for you to put your belongings and hung a towel on a hook in the room. They said to "take all my clothes off, lay face down, and use the towel to cover me." There was also a sign that said "please leave on underwear." Masks weren't required during the session. The beach towel my massage "therapist" hung was damp and I begged it wasn't used. I ignored it and kept telling myself it was just fresh out of the washer. A male massagist came in and started immediately massaging my back over the scratchy, wet beach towel. He did that for a long time before getting down to skin to skin. The oil he was using literally felt watered down and had no scent. His pressure was VERY firm to the point my back was in such pain I couldn't sleep that night. He also bended my arms in ways they really shouldn't go and it felt as if they were going to pop out of their sockets. They had a music playing but it was the same song over and over that sounded like "can you feel the love tonight." The rooms did not have ceilings so you could hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room. The massagists were also talking to each other in another language to their co-workers in the other rooms. I couldn't get into a relaxation mode between the talking and the noises from the couples' room. I don't know what was going on inside the couple room, but the moaning from the male made me very uncomfortable. You really could hear every noise they made, and it didn't sound innocent. After the massage was over, I did walk out feeling relaxed and loose but later on that night I was in pain. I probably won't be going back anytime soon. The massage was a 4 out of 10. Under previous owners, this Spa would never have gotten even a 4 rating for me. However the new owner is absolutely amazing. She has a true vision. From filtered water to scented oils and aromatherapy. She has turned the spa into a fabulous place to unwind or mend depending on your purpose for going. The masseuse are friendlier than those under previous ownership. They also seem much more skilled. if your purpose is to go to relax and unwind they can relax you into sleep mode. If you have an injury that you need sports massage l, they can accommodate that as well. It's definitely a place for pampering and healing. I love this new and improved Lavender Spa! read more
