I was looking for a place for a dinner date for me and the BF. The decor was much better than a fast food joint and perfect for a sit down dinner/date. We went for lunch and the prices were low and the portions generous, great value and even had enough leftovers for a whole other meal. I live in Highland, which is about 40 minutes from Golden Ginger. But this is a good thing or I may be there every night. This Chinese food is addictive! It truly is the best Chinese food I have had since I moved to California 21 years ago. (Oregon makes good American Chinese food.) Everything I have tried here has been pure perfection. I have either ordered or tasted off of others the orange chicken (beyond delicious!), orange beef, shrimp fried rice (oh my!), bbq pork with snow peas, one of the sizzling dishes, sesame chicken, twinkle shrimp (insanely good if you like seafood) and NONE of them have been bad. Everything comes out looking beautiful and tasting divine. The servers there are also amazing. So kind and patient. Drinks rarely go without being refilled immediately. They bring warm towels at the end to wash hands and faces with. We also get a plate of oranges and fortune cookies. The only down part is dishes come out at different times. So if you order with a few people, some dishes come out and your family may be sitting there either watching you eat or watching you wishing you were eating. But, it obviously doesn't bother me enough to knock stars off. Because the food is divine. You should go now. No, really... go! read more

Golden Ginger is a welcome gem in a random shopping center. My husband and I were trucking it home to Oceanside from a four-day trip in Joshua Tree when I had the sudden craving for Chinese. I pulled up my trusty Yelp app and found Golden Ginger nearby and we headed straight there. It would be completely impossible to find if you were an out-of-towner like we were; you drive through a ton of different residential neighborhoods and are seemingly out in the boonies until you come upon a commercial mecca of grocery stores and small businesses. Golden Ginger definitely doesn't appear to be anything special from the outside, in fact it looked like a Panda Express. But the good reviews were too tempting so we checked it out. It's larger than I expected it to be with casual but very nice decor with both booths and tables. We were greeted promptly by our server and ordered two Sierra Nevadas and our starters for the lunch specials (mine was egg flower soup with an egg roll, his was egg flower soup with the mandarin salad). I chose the orange peel chicken as my main, and my husband had the beef with szechwan garlic sauce. The food came out very quickly. My meal was delicious, and my husband admitted he liked mine better too. There was a delicious crunch to the chicken and lots of cooked peels of orange in the sauce. I can't say we'll be out in Hemet again any time soon but if we are, we will be sure to stop by Golden Ginger again. read more

Order through grub hub again. Tonight was what I always expect from here. We are way out in homeland and when the food arrived it had to wait for a few minutes before we could get to it. About 15 minutes later we opened the tied bag and started with egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. They were all hot and crisp. Very good. The egg flower soup was scorching hot and delicious. At this point the entrees have been in the closed bag for about 45 minutes. When we finally ate the food was so hot still that we had to cool it to take a bite. Putting leftovers away over an hour later and the soup and entrees were still steaming hot! Excellent meal and a great redemption on my previous problems with orders! read more

The waiters/waitresses were nice but once the owners (I believe they are a couple) got involved, my 4 star rating is demoted to 1 or 2 star rating. They are unfriendly and rude. Placed a take out order and waited over an hour after it was supposed to be ready. Get home and the cream cheese Rangoon were missing. Called they told me to give tbem 20 minutes and go back. My husband went back and they made him wait more than 10 minutes. He got home, we live 3 minutes away, and they were cold as ice and dried out.
