Staff members--both past and present--such as Julia, Sherika, Camille, Danni, Stephanie, and Shane have always been welcoming, professional, and a pleasure to interact with. However, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, around 2:30 PM, I had an experience that completely changed my perception of your business, largely due to your daughter's inadequate handling of a serious situation. Unfortunately, it will be my last visit. I ordered ochre and saltfish with dumplings and green bananas and chose to dine in. While eating, I bit into a twisted piece of silver metal embedded in the food. This was extremely alarming and posed a significant risk of injury, including potential damage to my teeth, gums, or the possibility of swallowing a hazardous object. In an effort to remain discreet and avoid causing a scene, I approached the counter and asked your daughter to speak with me privately. I showed her the metal object. Her response was simply, "Thanks," after which she took a photo and stated she would send it to her father. There was no apology, no concern expressed, and no immediate corrective action taken. I returned to my table feeling uneasy and continued eating cautiously. I later approached her again to point out that she had not apologized for what was clearly a serious health and safety issue. Only then did she offer an apology. To be clear, a customer should never have to request basic acknowledgment or an apology in a situation involving foreign objects in food. Standard customer service--and basic accountability--would require an immediate and sincere apology, along with proactive steps such as offering a refund, replacing the meal, or clearly addressing how the situation would be resolved. Additional concerns from this interaction were equally troubling: I was told that I did not ask for a refund, which was used to justify not offering one. When I inquired about a response from you, I was told you were "busy." When I observed the same dish still being served behind the counter, I was told it would be "wasteful" to discard it--despite obvious contamination concerns. Most concerning, your daughter stated that they have "been having issues like this lately," suggesting this may not be an isolated incident. The final resolution offered was a 25% discount given by you (her Father)--completely inadequate given the seriousness of the situation. This incident could have resulted in significant harm and potential legal consequences. The lack of urgency, accountability, and professionalism displayed was deeply disappointing. As the face of your establishment, your daughter's handling of this situation reflects directly on your business. Proper training in customer service--especially in handling health and safety incidents--is essential. This experience has left a lasting negative impression and is the reason I will not be returning after many years of loyalty. The presence of foreign metal in food is not a minor issue--it is a serious failure in food safety standards and customer care, and it carries potential health and legal implications. I've been going here for years. My last visit was 2/27/26, I ordered a large oxtails. I know oxtails are pricey but I paid $32 plus tipped $5. In all my years of ordering Jamaican food, I've never seen a restaurant weigh the oxtails. They weighed the oxtails. I got home and counted just to see, there were 8 very small oxtails. The first time I went I got curry goat and the food was absolutely amazing and the lady serving was pleasant and courteous I then called him to place an order to pick up and someone picked up the phone and carried on a whole conversation without saying hello or even saying please hold for a moment they just held a phone while they continued their conversation. So I hung up and did not go back. I think people forget that customers keep your business afloat, and if you're not nice to them they're going to take their money elsewhere. Really good Caribbean spot. I enjoyed it very much. I was picking up an order at Joann and had always wanted to try this spot. Apparently it is a chain with a lot of locations but I was unfamiliar with them. I was expecting some kind of fried chicken with a name like Golden Krust, but no fried chicken here. I think the Golden Krust refers to the crust in their Jamaican patties. The server was super helpful and explained the menu for me. They have chicken, goat, and shrimp in curry, jerk, and brown stew. Also a variety of patties. They have several vegetarian options that also looked good. I went with the chicken in brown stew and got a small for about $10. Glad I got the small because it was a very generous portion size served with rice and beans, vegetables, cabbage, and a really nice stew like gravy. I believe this is one of their milder choices and it was still plenty spicy and flavorful. Nothing fancy here, just good home cooking from the islands. There are a couple small tables but I gather most orders are to go. When you walk in if you go to the right of the ordering stand you can see the food if you want to look at it before you order. So I've had the golden Krust Jamaican beef patties that they sell in the store. When you get them here for about double the price ($2 vs the $1), you can taste the golden flakiness of the outside with a little bit of extra crunch! My friend ordered the oxtail here with rice and peas, plantain and cabbage for me to try. The oxtail was great! Tender, fell off the bone rather easily. The rice and peas were flavorful. I'm not a big fan of cabbage but it wasn't terrible. The real letdown of this dish was the plantains. Very chewy and lacked flavor. The staff were really attentive asking if we had already ordered since a bunch of us were just sitting down and waiting for others to grab food. I'd come back to get the food again! read more

I ordered cocktail patties via EZ Cater. My husband drove all the way from Roswell (an hour round trip) to pick them up for our daughter's first birthday party. He picked up the order and it was completely wrong. We ordered 3 orders of beef patties and one of veggie patties. AFTER he got home we called, and We got 1 order of beef, 2 chicken and 2 veggie. The website does not say how many come in an order. We didn't know we received more veggie patties than we ordered. We did not order chicken patties at all. Instead of APOLOGIZING and trying to make it right the lady on the phone implied that I should be happy because I got more food than I ordered. Which is silly because even if you have double something you didn't want IT ISN'T what we wanted. They wanted us to bring ALL the extra patties back (who knows what they were going to do with them), so my husband drove another HOUR round trip to pick up the beef patties. He had to pay for their mistake in time AND they made him pay for the beef patties we originally ordered bc we received extra veggie patties due to THEIR error. The lady on the phone was RUDE and did not care at all that their lack of attention took TWO HOURS of my husband's time when it should have been an easy pick-up. Their special of the day was 99¢ beef patties between 12 and noon, now I was there between these hours and questioned the cashier as to why I was charged full price, to which she responded that I purchased a chicken patty. I showed her my receipt and item was a beef patty. So she then changes her to statement to say it's 1st one at full price and 2nd for 99¢ and her co-worker confirms it. Good food, sizable portion as well, except for the fact that I spent $18+ for oxtail, only to find out when I returned home that I was given just two pieces of fried plantain, while my wife's order of curry goat also had two pieces of plantain.
