My wife ordered food through a StubHub app and the employee didn't see the order and basically ignored me and acted like I was lying about my order. Had to get my wife to send the order to show him and then the guy calls the owner and they figure it out. The person was aggressive, rude and as a matter of fact was yelling at other customers when I was waiting for my order. the food is average, but the customer service is even worse and pricey, and I don't like how aggressive your employees are. This place is good. Two of my buddies from East Cobb meet me there. We all had the 'business man lunch special' (pictured), which is a steal at $8.40 (available Monday through Friday). It consists of several meats (shish kabob, ground sirloin, gyro), salad, yellow rice, pita, and soft drink. Yellow rice was my favorite, very flavorful. All three of us enjoyed our lunch and *none* left hungry. One of the guys had leftovers to take home. Tip: They have some hot sauce if you ask for it, which gives the meats a nice kick; tzatziki sauce is provided automatically. Inside is relatively small, but we had no problem finding a table at noon, but it got busy later. You order at the counter and they call you when it is ready, which was very fast. This place has been a staple for me since I was 15 years old. I used to order the gyro with potatoes exclusively, but these days, I cannot pass up the Kufta Kabob Sandwich. Do not order delivery here if you can help it. The Greek potatoes are so much better if they haven't been through a car ride in a Styrofoam container steaming. Their tzatziki is my favorite of any gyro shop I've ever been to. I now live in Buckhead and never miss a chance to stop by when I'm up in Marietta. The Business Lunch Special (Mon-Fri 11-3pm) includes Shish Kabob, Kufta Kabob Gyro Slices, Rice, Salad, Pita and a soft drink. It's very popular. I got a Gyro to go. It was tasty and the lettuce was fresh and crisp but it only had a small amount of meat. The garlic cucumber sauce on the side was okay but, again, there was only a small amount of it. The Gyro was a good deal for the price ($6.50) and I've had it a few times. On this occasion, however, they seemed to have skimped on the ingredients. I've eaten their food on 3 occasions - dine in once and carry out for the family the other two times. I tried to give this restaurant a real chance, but it falls short of mediocre every time. As a family, we have tried their gyro sandwich, gyro plate, shish kabob plate, and chicken kabob plate. The thing that remains consistent is the dryness of their meat / poultry and the dissatisfaction that follows. During my last takeout dinner, I literally had to spit out a piece of chicken because it was so intensely dry. The only way to continue eating it was to drown it in tzatziki sauce. The gyro and shish kabob aren't as dry, but how could they be? They're made of lamb and beef. I don't know how much more you can cook beef without burning it first. The only reason for 2 stars is because it isn't the absolute worst I've had. However, I will not be going back. You're better off getting chipotle in the same plaza. read more

I visited for a weekday lunch and by the time we left, around 12:45pm, customers were hovering to grab our table. Mediterranean Grill has three locations: Atlanta (Midtown), Decatur (Emory), and Marietta (East Cobb). This is the East Cobb location. I've been to the Midtown location. I've heard good things about all three locations. This is a casual Mediterranean eatery. The focus is on food and value. Foods are cooked to order on a grill directly behind the ordering counter. There's a pick-up counter for the food, next to the kitchen, and drinks, silverware, and napkins are self-serve. Take-out is a popular option and they do catering. If dining in, you have to take your plates, silverware, and trash to the trash and dishware bins after your meal. If the restaurant is busy, maneuverability can be difficult because the space is tight. There's really nowhere for a line to form except right next to other diners. The food pick-up counter, drinks/silverware, and trash/dishware bins are all located next to each other in a narrow hallway. As you can imagine, foot traffic jams up here. Limited outdoor seating is available. The menu has a well-rounded selection of Mediterranean foods including hummus, baba ghanoush, dolmas (grape leaves filled with veggies, herbs, spices), salads such as tabbouleh (parsley, tomato, bulgur) and fattoush (pita, veggies) salads, pita sandwiches, gyros, assorted kabobs, lamb shank, and falafel (fried chickpeas). There are also desserts like rice pudding and baklava (sweet filo pastry). Portion sizes are generous, especially for the entrees which come with a few sides. Most menu items, including entrees, are about $10.00 or less. I ordered one of the restaurant's most popular options: the "Business Lunch Combo Special" for $7.60. It's a good value because it consists of shish kabob (charbroiled marinated beef, lean), kufta kabob (charbroiled ground sirloin), and gyro slices (seasoned blend of beef and lamb) plus a salad, rice pilaf, pita bread, and a fountain drink. I like that this plate allows you to sample a few different types of meat. The business lunch is only available Monday-Friday, 11:00am to 3:00pm. The plate also came with two sauces on the side: tzatziki sauce (yogurt-based) and a spicy, salsa-like sauce (unsure of name). Generally, it was a tasty and certainly filling plate of food. The meat was grilled fresh, but seemed to dry out rather quickly. Good thing for the refreshing tzatziki sauce. The shish kabob was relatively tough, but savory. The kufta kabob was like a well-seasoned sausage. Good flavor. The gyro meat was tender, smooth, and also savory. The side salad and rice pilaf were ordinary. The salad was a simple iceberg lettuce salad topped with some sort of light vinaigrette. The lettuce was satisfactorily fresh. I also tried some of the hummus, made of chickpeas, tahini paste, lemon juice, and garlic, and it was delicious. My only gripe is the pita bread was cold, cheap, and hard. The food came out lightning quick. Overall, I'm giving Mediterranean Grill four stars because it's efficient and economical. read more

Great lunch spot. I'd only ever been to the midtown location prior to this week. My lunch break is very short and they made it quick and easy to pickup. I ordered on their website about 30 minutes before they opened and paid online. The interface was very easy to use and how cool that I can pay with Venmo?! When I arrived at the time I designated to pick up my food I waited for about 5 minutes and then it was done. I got the business lunch special which is a great value for what you get. The plate came with two types of kabob, gyro, rice, pita, fountain drink and a side salad. For under $9 I was completely stuffed. I had enough leftovers for dinner. The kabobs and gyro were the best I've ever had as far as seasoning and flavor goes. I can't even describe how great it is. It was warm, and savory and just perfectly Mediterranean spiced. This is my granddaughter's review: The building is small and perfect for a quiet conversation. My dad and I went there once before our "Daddy, Daughter Dance." If we wanted to change something about a meal, the waiter was nice and did what we asked. I like to get the kids meal #2, and it is always good. I think you should also add more things to the kids meal, because I would like to try something new.The baklava is also very yummy. One thing I did not like is that the meals are too expensive for what they are, and how much they give you on the plate. My aunt and I went there and I got the kids #2, and she got the wrap. The price was about $21, way too expensive for just 2 things. Please consider adjusting the price of the meals, or at least for the kids meals. read more

The best Greek food in Atlanta. Ive been going to Mediterranean Grill on Johnson's Ferry Rd for several years now. Typically I either get the chicken kabob plate, the shish kabob plate or the shrimp kabob plate. All are cooked fresh to order and everything is always cooked/grilled to perfection and spiced just right. I like the fact they allow you to substitute either grilled veggies or greek potatoes for rice for no charge. The value is great too. You get alot of pita bread with a kabob plate as well as a pretty good size greek salad that is also made fresh when you order and comes with perfectly spiced salad dressing. They always include tzatziki sauce and will also hot sauce as well at no extra charge. You can tell the sauces are made fresh and they compliment everything. We are so grateful this restaurant was open on Christmas eve after we attended our church service. Streets were quiet and we thought we wouldn't find good food at 6pm due to the holiday. We were the only customers at that time. Service was direct and efficient. The food is similar to greek food but seasoned a little differently. We loved the yellow rice and the salads were WOW with huge chunks of feta and the best red wine vinaigrette ever. Very fresh. The Baba Ghanouj was fine but not our favorite recipe. I just recently discovered this little place since I'm fairly new to the area. I love Mediterranean food and this was the closest place. I was really impressed and I think they have the best Dolma I've ever had. I've also had two different types of Kebab and the baba ghanoush which are all delicious. The portions are generous and make at least 2 meals for me. Service is fast and friendly. After my first visit I had to go back 3 days later for more.
