It turned out that Dr. Troxell had a cancelation and was able to see me for an evaluation right then. I had been having moderate knee pain that was constant and non-responsive to anti inflammatories. The pain started acutely after a plyometric work out. I was worried about something torn, and my GP couldn't diagnosis the problem when she examined me. She gave me a recommendation for PT. Dr. Troxell was able to diagnose my problem very quickly (patellar-femoral pain syndrome/jumpers knee.) He did some kinesio taping which relieved pain immediately and set me up with a good strengthening PT regimen. Dr. Troxell and his staff are very friendly and professional. They know all their patients by first name and the atmosphere was always enjoyable. I have completed my therapy and am back to full use of my knee with no pain. I would not hesitate to return to this office for any future PT needs.

Along the way, I have worked with many physical therapists. I was fortunate to have met a very talented physical therapist named Chad when he worked at Pro PT in Fresno back in 2021. Fast forward to 2024 and I was once again in desperate need of physical therapy to work on various nagging injuries. I could have easily gone to my local physical therapist located 3 blocks from my house in Oakhurst. Instead, I specifically tracked down Chad at his new Pro PT office in Madera. Even though his new location was 45 minutes away (as opposed to a 3 minute walk to the local facility in Oakhurst), I chose to make the drive because his ability to zero in on my injuries is second to none. I don't go to physical therapy to make my doctors happy, I go to make myself happy (as well as leaner, meaner, and stronger). I knew that based on my prior experience with Chad that he would put together a program that would get me back in the gym without fear of further injury. Yesterday I finished my 20th visit over the last 3 months and I am thrilled with the progress that I made working with Chad and his assistants Spencer, Issac, and Natalie. They created the fresh routine that I was desperately searching for. After finishing up my last visit, I had to pat myself on the back for making that 45 minute drive instead of a 3 minute walk. It was well worth the extra time and effort to go see Chad and work with his team. Anybody in the Central Valley that needs physical therapy should make that drive to Madera and see for yourself. In all fairness I came here two other times and had a wonderful experience but I was not given the lady I had today the last time I got the same woman both days. But today I basically paid to have oil rubbed on my body this could never qualify as a massage I kept trying to communicate with my massage therapist but she doesn't speak English she pulled out her phone to translate and still was not following my directions I kept asking her to go get the gentleman from the front so he could translate she would not. I literally sat up on the bed and was telling her to go get the gentleman from the front she just kept rubbing oil on me as if I wasn't literally sitting up. I called the front numerous times got no answer so I got off the table and as I was getting dressed finally received a return call. I told him what had happened that I came in because I was in a lot of pain from sleep wrong and I can't sleep as a result and that the massage therapist was not listening to me and that I had been trying to call to get assistance. I was offered no apology and no remedy for what occurred I also was offered no discount and asked to pay full price for my service which I did so I could be done with this place. I told them I would never ever come back to this place and I don't recommend anyone else coming here either. She also put some oil on my face which I didn't know she was going to do that has now caused me to break out and my massage finished 10 minutes ago. But I told her not to put anything on my face as I have really sensitive skin and I had my eyes closed and she did it anyway like I wasn't even talking to her. Then I started wiping it off and she hands me a dry tissue which was no help.
