Took him into another local vet last week who basically wanted us to go see oncologist after they did a needle biopsy and it was inconclusive. Or do labs etc. the vet office was charging a large amount. I talked to a friend who recommended Paw Project. I had never heard about it. Let me say the value of the labs was significantly cheaper and the appointments were not too far out. Was able to come in for the service we needed for a fraction of the cost. Everyone was super friendly; and took amazing care of our sweet boy. His labs came out great,

After the exam, I was told straight up that my dog didn't need dental cleaning, so I could not book the service. I decided to purchase heartworm preventatives using their online pharmacy, but after EIGHT attempts in a month to get the medication, the order was rejected EVERY SINGLE TIME by their veterinarian. Each time the reason was that there was a prescription on file already so they could not approve an order request, but there WAS no prescription on file to begin with. All I can assume is that Pawproject wants my dog to get heartworm infection and die. I hate Pawproject and will report them to the Georgia Board of Veterinary Medicine. Don't go there.

Then another time, we thought our dog went missing but she passed instead RIP! so we went looking for her. Everyone there is really nice and helpful. I will always support them and donate dog food. We're not ready to have another pet cause of other obligations but when we do, we will make sure to adopt. 89/2021

I have tried to use this government service, and observed them in action with other citizens, and I…read morefind them not just rude, unprofessional, confrontational and arbitrary - but I think racist - When I was last there, I witness a Hispanic woman in her late twenties brought a cat in with a nice cat carrier. She admitted the cat had been living under her desk in her garage office for the last month and after a month decided she did not want to take care of it anymore. The Hispanic man in his mid to late 30's, who was very friendly to this one person said "No problem". Then a white elderly lady came in with one of those cardboard cat carriers, told them this cat was found under her deck and would not leave. She advised the employee that her husband had a respiratory problem and could not keep the cat. The employee's demeaner totally changed, from open and friendly to overtly rude. He told the elderly white lady "The cat was too friendly, and that it must belong to someone" and thus would not take it; not sure how we could determine all these cat demeanors inside boxes, and to be blunt - I think it was the race of the person carrying the cat, not the cat itself. The elderly white lady told him that she would have to leave the cat in the parking lot, since it was wild and could not take it home for medical reasons. The employee threatened her not to do that with an aggressive voice, then said he would call the police and have her arrested if she did that. He then closely and aggressively followed her out the door, and then glared at the elderly lady as she left the parking lot. Since I am a white male, who was also bringing in a feral cat for health reasons, I just left. A week later, my niece (who took the cat home with her since I could not keep it, again due to health reasons) tried again. She got the same attitude, and had to leave with the cat. Why are we paying taxes for this service and why are the employees allowed to be so arbitrary - to the point they seem to make decisions not on the animal that is brought in, but the race of the person who is bringing it in?

We are not pet lovers in any stretch of the imagination. We only own for the most part turtles and pet fish. But the things you do when you love your kids right? We pass by the pet store daily and decided to stop in with our daughter. It is a fairly tight space but they make good use of it. There are lots of cute puppies of various breeds and the employees including the owner who is very present gave us a quick break down on "puppy ownership 101". We were surprised that dog ownership can be on the pricey side especially the ones as young as the puppies(2,000+). But this place does give you a lot of value for the cost. They offer free classes for the life of your pets to teach you how to potty train, overall take care and other various areas of pet ownership and it's never a cost as long as you purchased your pet from their store. They have lots of accessories to go with your purchase including a fence that you can put inside of your home and of course several varieties of dog food as well as travel gear. All of the animals appear be well taken care of and we love the fact that they are a Christian owned establishment and they are very vocal about that. They also do not purchase dogs from what's called a puppy mills, or shady dog breeding companies. So that's good to know and they also include proof of lineage with each pet purchase. We are not ready to take the leap and become pet owners yet but this place appears to be a very good option and the employees look like they really care about the well-being of every animal that sets foot in here.

The tech came out and greeted us and asked what time I could return to pick him up. Pick him up? I thought this was a shot. She explained that there were a couple of sick animals ahead of us. She told me to come back in "a couple hours or we will give you a call." The more I think about it, the more it really just doesn't make sense from an efficiency standpoint, not to mention my poor pup being put through additional unnecessary stress for what should take 5-10 minutes. Let's hope all those other sick animals don't get him sick while he's waiting back there with his 14-year-old self. Find somewhere else to go. These guys really just don't have it together.

I know that had nothing to do with me personally because it was my first time there, but it still wasn't a great first impression. If you aren't happy get another job.Yuck! My Yorkie who gets a salon treatment every two weeks. I normally take him to a Brazilian groomer. They're more expensive, but I've never had an issue. He always comes out smelling so, so, so good, and they brush his teeth and do everything for $69. I was trying to save a little money and figured PetSmart would be convenient since it's closer. I paid $59 for the upgraded service. Unfortunately, my dog came out with wet ears and still smelling bad. When I asked about his ears, the groomer gave me an explanation for why they were still wet, but it didn't make me feel any better about the situation. And there's one other thing that really bothered me. When I brought him into the salon, he was trying to run back out the door. He has never done that at the Brazilian groomer not even at the vet, where he gets shots. I'm not saying I know exactly what happened, but I do believe dogs pick up on energy and vibes. My dog clearly did not want to be there, and that alone was enough for me to pay attention. For me, the extra $10 wasn't worth it. Sorry didn't snap a picture with his ugly wet ears.
