I go to Eli and he's the man. He's super kind and nice and is extremely friendly. Whenever he gets phone calls he's quick to ask the person to call back and focus on the customer. Really appreciate that. He also gives great cuts and I've gotten cuts from other barbers at this spot and everyone is great. The value is also there, prices have gone up a bit but a very small amount in recent years. This is understandable due to inflation and having to recoup lost revenue from the initial covid lockdown. At $23 you're getting a lot and then some. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cut in the area

He is a perfectionist through and through. Watching him work is like watching a sculpturist in action. Somehow, he is able to multitask with fun and witty banter and conversation all while staying completely focused and in the zone. He makes it look easy. He used to work at a unisex salon called Hair Touch, over on 69th ave. He was there for decades, as was their whole team! Eventually, to my best knowledge, most of their loyal clientele were aging and were progressing further and further into their later years. Eventually, they closed down shop. It was very sad to see but they have tons to be proud of. They served many many generations of families within their community and Mario continues on their legacy here at Elegant Barber Shop.
