I have been going here for 8 years. Gianni colors my hair and Fabio does my cuts. Everytime my hair looks like a million bucks. The color is amazing and looks natural. Fabio always cuts my hair to the season. Sometimes we go lighter and shorter in the summer and longer in the winter. This time I did the opposite because I have enjoyed having shorter hair. Would highly recommend coming here! Staff is wonderful. They carry Oribe and Kérastase products. And all of the stylists are amazing! Thank you Fabio and Gianni for taking care of me! read more

Was running a bit behind for my appointment called to let them know, they were very accommodating and took me immediately upon arrival. Salon is a modern open floor plan loved the ambience and they carried my favorite products for retail. I went with a full head balayage with Dorentina. I had been extremely upset since having it done at a prior salon, as breakage was so bad. She really took her time, I could immediately tell after the wash when still wet I was going to love it. She gave me great trim, my hair felt so healthy and areas where other stylists had difficult lifting she did in one try. Very impressed and would highly recommend for men or women! read more

I just left the salon and I'm freaking out.... in the BEST way possible! :) Came in for a trim and blowout by Fabio himself (hair guru celebrity in Europe). I live in Gramercy but traveled down to FIDI because I had a feeling it would be worth it. Boy was I right. Upon arriving, I was greeted with a cappuccino and then later on a glass of Cabernet. How chic and inviting! The gentleman who washed my hair was so sweet and relaxed me so much he put me to sleep in the chair. The reason this salon is top tier is due to the attention to detail. Even down to getting your hair washed here is the ultimate experience. --Why: They use super expensive high quality Kérastase hair products. You lounge in beautiful high tech chairs that massage you (not like the tacky chairs you sit on to get pedicures), and they give you the most incredible a scalp/head/shoulder massage! I asked Fabio to just "clean up my ends", which usually means a quick trim at any other salon in New York, but in reality he managed to transform my hair from dull & damaged-- to silky, sleek and healthy! How? No idea. It's probably a secret Italian technique and decades of experience. If you're looking for a salon to treat yourself to, this is it. I felt like a queen. Let start off by saying I will never go anywhere else but Fabio Doti salon. The professionalism, speedy service and ambience of the salon is unmatched. If you're thinking about getting hair services done at this salon, don't hesitate, they are the best in the business. The salon I originally went to messed up the dye job and didn't want to help me rectify the situation. They left me ginger when I wanted to go blonde, closer to platinum-- as you can see my hair in the first picture I posted is orange. I called countless times and got nothing but excuses and basically no help (they even told me to call the following week to schedule an appointment). After so much frustration I decided to go elsewhere because I had an extremely important event I was supposed to go to and I absolutely couldn't go looking like a clown. Fabios staff exudes professionalism and knows their craft. They sat me down immediately, helped calm my nerves, and reassured me I was going to get what I wanted. Fabio sat me down with Gianni who asked me thoroughly what direction I wanted to go in for my hair color, listened to my input and also gave me his ideas. Some years ago my hair & I emerged from the fog of early motherhood in need of skilled assistance. Oh for someone who could turn my thick, partly wavy, often frizzy hair into a disciplined, chic, luxurious wavy/curly mane I could flaunt and also put up in a ponytail for gym! Yelp did us a solid: Fabio Doti! Fabio had 2 salons then, & the Exchange Place location (now closed) was closer to work. Now the pandemic has eased up, & I've discovered his Greenwich St salon is also lovely & comfortable, & the people are welcoming. The music bounces around in the white space. The hair wash / scalp massage is a blissful mini spa experience. (And you can get a lunchtime or after work appointment!) Fabio is charming in an unforced way, & will have you smiling even after a VERY long day. I've had tea, coffee, seltzer, & wine there (not simultaneously). They do balayage & ombré & cuts thoughtfully & with great results. I have these subtle dark chocolate strands in my hair that look natural & liven up the whole style, even as I cover up my white roots with a darker color. Is it cheap? No, but neither is it wasteful. I'm old enough & work hard enough to deserve quality, & it is SO WORTH IT to still be getting compliments on my now waist-long mane 5 months after the cut! (I wouldn't wait so long the next time, though.) read more

What a beautiful transformation! Maintaining silver/blonde hair over the last few years from my natural black has been rough. My ends were fried and I was overall looking dull. She is wonderful with doing keratin treatments that make my curly but fine hair manageable. and gets me in an out in under an hour, which is such a gift! I am fanatical about the formulation she uses which doesn't require keeping your hair dry for 24-72 hours which used to be my absolute least favorite part about getting it done. I came in early in the morning and this was the best way to start my day. The manager at the front desk took my coat, offered me coffee, water, and even Champage. I was seated and Fabio himself consulted the hair stylist and me about my hair goals. I had the best blowout ever and they made my hair so soft. The hair stylist was so gentle and still fine by hair done with time constraints without compromising quality. This place has such a family feel and the service was amazing. This was my first time here with Fabio and I have tried many different salons earlier but hands down Fabio and his staff are really amazing and friendly. Fabio checked the texture of my hair explained what kind of haircut would suit me best, showed me some pictures and the final cut was really unbelievable for me - a very chic, sophisticated look.
