Oooh if you have time and money to spare, I can't recommend this place enough. I usually go onto flights with a lot of hip and shoulder tension. I did the 15 minute zero gravity massage chair and I felt soooo amazing and relaxed afterwards going onto my flight. I didn't think 15 minutes in the chair would do that but it did. It tilts you all the way back and plays nature music to get you out of the airport for a little while. Zoey was so kind and helpful especially being understaffed for the day. I have been dealing with chronic neck and shoulder pain for years that flares every so often and I need lots of chiropractic and massage. There's nothing like being in a full flare on a travel day. I always thought it would be a good idea to have a spa in airports, so it's great to find one near your gate. Albeit pricey, I'm so glad I came and got a massage here. I received 20 minutes of absolutely necessary and wonderful deep tissue massage. She broke up and released several knots that were creating massive pain and headaches. She was kind and sweet. I loved both of my masseuses and even though I wish this place had closed doors, or a sound barrier, it was still amazing. It wasn't cheap but it was definitely worth it to feel refreshed and ready to tackle the next part of my trip. Flew 10+ hours from Honolulu to JFK with time to spare before connecting flight to Paris. Decided on a foot massage then a neck and back massage. A lady with a Chinese background from Malaysia performed the foot massage which was satisfactory. While she did her task I saw a woman on a chair getting a neck and back massage from this tall brawny therapist. I like how he worked on his client. I couldn't wait for my session with him. I knew it was going to be over priced when I walked in. It's the airport. However during my flight to NYC I noticed my cuticles were looking pretty bad and I was going into a work meeting directly after my flight. So I figured it couldn't be that bad to get my nails done at the airport. Rather than going into the office not looking my best (also first in person meeting with the entire staff). I selected the business class level ($50) for a gel manicure. As she started she pointed out how short my nails were and I go "yeah it's more so my cuticles that need attention" to which she said "we don't trim cuticles at this price point, only push them back". I said nothing and did nothing so that's on me. But seriously? You are going to charge that much and not clean up the cuticles?? This was the mid level price point. Anyway, she carried on and the nail application was subpar. I knew it wasn't going to last long because she barely scuffed up my nails for the gel to adhere and my cuticles were still long even though she barely spent two seconds on pushing them back (I don't believe she even soaked them). Paint on my skin, not all the way to the edges. Just not great. And if you're thinking, oh they were busy...nope...not a single other person was in there or waiting. Just me and her. Anyway, it looked pretty terrible afterwards and if I had more balls I'd probably have expressed my disappointment. But instead here I am voicing it on yelp. Bet you're wondering how long they lasted? The first and most poorly done nail lasted a half a day...yes you read that correctly. It's been 3 days and my entire left had has flaked off. I got a gel manicure here on Thursday. By Sunday morning all of my nails were chipped and some even peeled all the way off. The service was quick and low quality, and cost $63 without tip!!! I've gotten gel manicures many times before at other salons, and each one lasted two weeks. I will never go back to an XpresSpa. read more

Came here for a refreshing spa treatment in between our layovers- I had a minor complaint about the seating arrangement but the management provided excellent service in addressing my concerns. Lots of spa treatments here. Manis, pedis, waxing, massage chairs, way more options for massages than I have seen at other Xpress Spas. The prices are airport prices, so expect that. You get to sit in the massage chairs for free if you are getting another service. I got the tension relief massage. It wasn't my fave. But not because the massage was bad. I just would have preferred a massage in the massage chair where you are sitting up and face forward, instead of laying in the reclining chair. read more

Being in an airport is never relaxing. Trust me. Everyone is either running, stressing, praying, etc. However, I think I found the solution to airport stress - go to Xpress Spa. OMG. I got there to get my eyebrows done and they said it would be a 30 min wait but I could wait in the massage chairs. YES PLEASE. I didn't mind that 30 min became 45 min because I was so relaxed. The lady who did my eyebrows was so kind, and listened to what I wanted. Although pricier than non-airport prices, it was worth it just to be able to sit relaxing for over an hour! I never give two stars, but I was extremely disappointed. I did not have time to get my nails done prior to leaving for a weekend to Miami (given the snowstorm that had occurred), and thought Xpress Spa would be the perfect resolution. I have never been more wrong! First, they charge $45 for a gel manicure - BUT YOU GET NO MANICURE. They literally slap the polish on and call it a day, I had to ask the technician twice to push back my cuticles. No sooner had I landed in Miami did I notice that my polish was already peeling and chipped. I ended up having to get another manicure when I returned to the city that Monday evening. Stopped by the Xpress Spa in Terminal 4 near gate B34 and was so pleasantly surprised by the tranquility in the spa there. Masseuse Jing Lin gave me one of the best head, neck and upper back massages of my life! Super strong pressure and she knew exactly where to focus her energy. And guess what? Spent $70 (including tip) for a classic gel manicure. Looked great, and I knew I was paying extra for the convenience so that came with the territory. However, three of my nails had polish peeling off within 12 to 18 hours. While I don't mind paying for convenience, I expected that a gel manicure will actually last more than "hours."
