And that's when the good ends. 1st they Sold me a delta faucet with missing pieces, that I only found out when installing, so with my plumber on the clock, I had to drive from my Dallas home in the middle of my project, to their store Salem, then when Saffron didn't have the parts, I had go across town to get from another store. Not a big deal. When first buying the faucet, I mentioned I had other plumbing projects to do, they said they would have someone contact me to give a bid. Later Brent Hunt from Saffron called, set a time, we met. Spent an hour going over my property, describing what I needed, and I drew him maps as the project involved 3 wells on 6 acres. He got back to me later with a bid that said it included all labor and materials for what we talked about, but it wasn't itemized or detailed. (My mistake not requesting a break down) but it did say all labor and materials. I agreed to the bid, we set a date. Days before the start date, Brent texts asking if I wanted a hydrant in a different location than I showed him. I said no, told him to refer to the map we gave him. He then said that he may have under estimated the pipe needed and there may be "extra" costs. But the bid said "all labor and materials" included. The workers showed up on the start day, nice young men, and started telling me what their plan was for the day. 1st thing was to clean my 2000 gallon water tank, and then they would cut out my concrete pad. I said that Brent told me they would horizontal drill under the pad, as I didn't want it cut up, and they said that's not what they do. I told them to hold off on that and I would call Brent. I said they could start the cleaning and maybe work on separating the two water sources that both feed that tank, they said they couldn't do that either, as it would require a new pump and pressure tank. I said wait on that I'll call Brent. I went inside my home to call Brent, who immediately said I was wrong, that we didn't talk about horizontal drilling, and that's why he wanted to put my hydrant in a different spot?!? The out and out lies, the completely unprofessional bid, the omission of any details so he could add charges later! I said never mind the work. Tell your crew to leave. I then went to the crew, told them what had transpired and that we wouldn't be using their services, and they said they had already added the cleaner to my water. I asked how long and what charges I would get for the tank cleaning, they said 2 hours plus the cleaner. I agreed and went inside. Brent called them, told them to leave then, with the cleaner still in my water supply, effectively preventing us from using our water. This isn't ok. No one should be held hostage by poorly written bids that imply a scope of work that the service provider changed based on their wants. I will be investigating legal options. At the very least, I hope this helps other avoid a company that don't care about their clients. Maybe that's why they recently had to change their CCB number.

Over the course of 3 years they periodically worked on large projects for our home. Anthony and his crew became like trusted family members; they earned our trust by their conduct, work ethic and direct communication. Anthony's first priority is to provide the best "product" possible to his customers. We have been very happy with all the projects he has done: * Built a 120 ft beautiful block retaining wall with a metal railing that will probably last longer than our house * Tore out our lower deck and built a larger trek deck in its place, installed a metal railing, rebuilt the stair on the other side of the deck and reinstalled our hot tub! * Built a 20' x 18' attached, permitted shop * Turned an ugly storage room into a beautiful office * Built railroad tie stairway with a landing on both sides of our house and placed 10 huge rocks just where I wanted them. Put down landscape fabric and mulch. I appreciate that Anthony critically thinks through the projects, researches new products or construction solutions, and talks to vendors to obtain detailed information. He communicates well with city and county people and clients. Anthony and his crew are creative, and at times, artistic in their work. We loved our home before we found Anthony. We love it more now because the GBZ Construction crew did such a fine job creating lovely spaces for us to enjoy.

Creative Concepts - Home Staging and Contracting

After several months on the market, and some bad advice from the first realtor, I decided that it…read morewas probably time to address some cosmetic issues and do some staging on my late mother's 1956 Corvallis home, which had never been updated. Needless to say, the house had issues, including a roof at the very end of its life, an awful pet urine odor, evidence of previous rodent activity, dirty, chipping plaster walls, some nasty wallpaper and panelling, outdated lighting and flooring, outdated bathrooms (one of which had carpet, eww), no baseboards, and uneven flooring in some places. I reside in Colorado, which added a whole other level of difficulty and frustration. (Trying to sell a home 1300 miles away is VERY difficult, especially for a Type A personality...) I had contacted a contractor for an estimate. On a whim I did a Google search for home stagers in the area to stage the home once the work was done. I found Creative Concepts reviews, and spent quite a bit of time on their website reading articles and reviewing before and after photos. I also found their Facebook page. I decided to contact them for a staging estimate. Through our correspondence, Margaret let me know that her company also does contracting, and she would like to take a look at the home and provide a second estimate. I am SO glad I agreed! Margaret was very honest, and had to convince me on a couple of items that she felt would make a big impact for buyers walking through the door. She looked at everything through the eyes of a buyer. She also informed me of the bad advice that my realtor had given me. After a conversation with another realtor friend who agreed the advice was terrible, I terminated the agreement and found another local realtor. The estimate I was provided was VERY fair and reasonable, and actually a little lower than the other contractor I had been working with. I had a fairly small budget ($18,000) to address the numerous problems. Somehow, she was able to address all of the issues, and then some, within that budget. Very shortly thereafter, she and her team began the work. My prior contractor stated it would take 6 weeks to complete. Margaret's team completed the work in 2. Immediately following the construction, she staged the home BEAUTIFULLY! I have NEVER seen my mother's house look so warm and inviting. Just stunning. We were back on the market in no time, and listed the home over $40,000 higher than our original list price. In less than 3 weeks on the market, we had a very strong offer - $59,000 higher than any other offer we had received when we first listed all those months ago. (Do the math: The home was originally on the market for 4 months, and the highest offer we received was $220,000. For an $18,000 investment, we were under contract for $279,000 in less than 3 weeks. Amazing!) While the house was under contract, we experienced an unfortunate break-in. Within 30 minutes of hearing about the break-in, Margaret and her team were back in the house fixing the busted doors and changing locks. An immediate response, which I was so very grateful for. I cannot recommend Creative Concepts enough. Margaret was incredibly responsive throughout the project (very respectfully putting up with all of my anal-retentive emails needing to know every little detail of the project). Her design was spot-on, and she was absolutely CORRECT in her advice. I wish I had known months prior about Creative Concepts, as it would have saved me a lot of stress, a lot of money and time, and at least 50 gray hairs. I am forever grateful for Creative Concepts. My husband and I own a rental property in Salem, and will definitely be using her services again for any updating/construction projects while we own the home, and staging when/if we sell it. Folks, do yourself a favor and call Creative Concepts for a consultation BEFORE you list your home. You will not regret it. Margaret and her impeccable design eye will help you make your home look it's very best, appeal to buyers, and get your home SOLD much more quickly.
