If you are looking for a straight fence and professional customer service, do not hire Hurricane…read moreFence. My husband walked the property with the project manager before installation, discussed corner post and the placement of the single gates and then left. There was no mention the double gate could not be centered, and the fence posts would not be installed in a straight line. I sent an email the following morning expressing my concerns. I was told they always move the gate towards the house if utility lines cause an issue. We had the double gate installed for a trailer. It does not make sense that we would want it moved away from where the trailer is parked. The project manager came out to inspect and said both issues could be resolved. I received a call saying I would have to pay for corrections. Over the past 3 months, 3 site visits, at least 9 emails and 7 conversations it has been suggested that the top rail was bent but posts were straight, so it just needed to be replaced or the "frost heave" and extreme cold temperatures shifted the concrete footings. The newest revelation is that the fence was installed per the contract where the top rail follows the natural contour of the land rather than running in a perfectly straight line. This is not mentioned anywhere in the contract. In fact, the layout on the contract clearly shows a straight line and states that the fence will be installed following the flow (fence will be uneven at the top). They are also saying my husband approved the curvature in the fence and double gate location. Neither is true. If the fence was installed in accordance with the contract, then why was approval needed? If approval was given for the gate (or the fence line) it would have been their first response 3 months ago.

A friend had recommended Hurricane fences here in Richmond area based on their good experience. They had a great guy come out, look at what we were looking to do, provide a picture to verify with us and sent us an estimate that we were happy with. Several days later another guy came by to verify prior to everything and told us when the build team would be in. Three guys came out later that week and completed it in two days for us, including a gate. These guys worked hard, were professional, friendly, and did a super job. No complaints - really happy for the job they did at the cost.

It was a pleasure working with All Squared Up. While they're a newly formed company, the…read morepartnership has decades of experience and plenty of references upon request. I'm delighted to be the first one to offer a review on this site. Our needs were simple. We wanted to have a maintenance free composite deck to replace our outdated wooden deck. Practically all the deck builders that we got quotes from were over $25K - $35K. These were WAY outside our budget. All Squared Up explained it like this. So many businesses after Covid, were charging more due to supply. Sadly for consumers many businesses never reduced their prices when supply disruptions were no longer an issue. There is also so much competition with composite material, prices are not high. Before you select a deck builder, based on the number of reviews on Yelp/Google, request a quote from All Squared Up. We highly recommend! Honest communication, commitment, with an equal dose of skilled perfection and honest pricing is what you can be assured to receive. p.s. After completing the deck, they re-did our side porch, making it composite too and reducing the step size. allowing the steps to be more shallow.

In this field the more you do in a day or week or a month the bigger the profit, so knock them out as fast as you can gain the profit and worry about cut corners when they arise. Instead of do it right the first time and make sure the homeowner is 100 percent happy the first go around and hope if at all call backs are minimal. Most big companies already have the name so now it's the money that keeps them going and the workers still receive the same pay no matter how poor their quality of work and the owners have enough revenue and resources to brush off small inconveniences. The small guys like me however without the big name or big company have to take pride in what we do because we know the quality provides the name and the revenue will follow in due time. A good name and quality go a good distance but a bad name and poor work travel much further. When you take pride in what you do and love every aspect of the project it's a passion not just a job. It's a living you love and not just an income.
