Because of Darren, we do it every day! Darren refinished a ~30 year old hardwood floor that had yellowed, shown wear from traffic, had missing pieces of wood, and damage from chemical spills. From the very first time I reached out, his communication was excellent. He visited our home to see the floor, take measurements, and recommend and explain a refinishing process. Darren gave us options for type of polyurethane, colors, finish (matte vs. gloss) while offering recommendations from his many decades of experience. However, two weeks after signing the contract and handing over a deposit, they suddenly claimed the project would now cost $29K. My key Issues: Bait-and-Switch Pricing: The final quote was more than double the original agreed-upon price with vague and VERY inconsistent reasoning. Vanishing Deposit: When I chose to cancel due to the massive price hike, they claimed my entire deposit had already been "used up" on excavation. Lack of Integrity: They committed to a budget just to get the signature, only to move the goalposts immediately after. We are currently pursuing legal action to address these practices. This company is simply not worth the stress or the financial risk. I met many reputable masonry and concrete companies during my bidding phase--I strongly suggest you look elsewhere, you've been warned.

I had to leave before the final touches so I didn't get to see the finished job but my realtor said it all looked great. The owner contacted me when a problem arose with sanding and staining the hardwood floors, told me exactly what was wrong and gave me reasonably priced options to fix it. The result was just right and I have gotten compliments on the floors. Price was a little on the high side but worth being able to leave everything in their hands. Marked Punctuality as N/A because I wasn't there to see. The time estimate was for about 3 weeks but it actually took about 5, mostly because of the delay caused by having to change plans for the floors---no fault of the contractor's!
