Tiffany, Peter and Frankie were the best!! I've never used a professional mover before and was a nervous Nelly due to hearing such terrible stories about damage or bait-and-switch pricing. Tiffany was extremely kind and patient with all of my questions and did her best to provide an accurate quote. It came in lower than many of their competitors yet the service couldn't have been better. The movers, Peter and Frankie, were extremely professional, efficient and careful with my personal belongings. They deserve "0" stars. Destroyed my household goods inside their warehouse. My family member and I saw our household pulled out from the crates for a mold investigation in great condition. But delivery one week later destroyed couches etc. Some boxes semi-empty. Send 2 ppl to unload heavy ass furniture, they barely moved, took hours of breaks When I call with complaints about destroyed items, she said submit complaint to the military, of course. Golden Services has been my mover for the last 3 moves. Each move has been bigger than the last but this last one was a doozy. It was a longer distance moved that needed packing and was done in two parts. The crew that came out were great guys who followed all my sticky notes and directions over what was staying/going, etc. The 2nd part of the move was a very long day (12 hours) and these guys never lost their cool. We used Golden when moving my in-laws from an apartment to assisted living apartment. I met with the sales person and he listened to what our goals were: move part of the belongings to the new place and the rest to storage. They came up with the creative solution of using 2 trucks, with an extra person everything took less time and ended up saving us some money. The team arrived on time, were very good about packing things safely, we no breakage or scratches, and were polite and were not afraid to ask questions. I would recommend Golden Services. read more

If I could give it less stars, I would. My relationship with these people started in 2012. Their staff did not set me up for automatic payments. We had some family issues and I wasn't sure what happened to the storage. Nobody from their office called to follow up as to why we hadn't been making payments and I wasn't aware of the process, at all. They had staff turnover a few times so when I would reach out, there would always be some returned email or no answer. I had finally gotten in touch with someone to finally pay the hefty back balance. After my divorce, I got stuck paying all of it. We were almost out of the red and I was trying to work with these people. They stopped taking my monthly payments without notifying me. Their current manager is rude and not helpful at all. When I made multiple attempts to just go grab a few personal items, like my kids pictures or a worthless family heirloom, I was met with nothing but coldness. I am not asking for my entire storage back. And instead of helping me, they auctioned my things off. I have lost so many memories. Things I will never get back. And years of stress and thousands of dollars out of my pocket to let it sit and rot in a warehouse so they can make a little money out of it. I hope they have horrible family things happen to them so they get an ounce of what it feels like to go through hell only to get shat on by a worthless storage facility. This isn't our first military move so I have something to compare them to. The packers took literally allllllll day to pack amount of stuff that previous moving company took 4 hours to do. Mind you we had two people doing this, so how it took so long idk. When our shipment arrived, quarter of our stuff were broken/damaged. The company that did unpacking for us showed that all the damage came from how negligently the packing company packed our stuff in the crates. read more

These guys did a fantastic job with our move. My husband and I bought a house and through some confusion with our loan officers and closing date, we hadn't booked movers 9 days before we had to move. PANIC. Through a friend's recommendation, I contacted Greg at Golden Services. We set up the entire move over a few emails - quick and pain-free. He sent me an estimate of what it would cost, and it ended up being LOWER than that!! But I am most impressed with how they handled the Big Day - the move. They were supposed to show up between 8am - 10am; they arrived at 7:55am. How prompt and helpful. They quickly moved our items into their large truck (just like the white ones featured in their Yelp pictures). What I am EXTREMELY impressed by - they were able to move my monster of a treadmill, a Life Fitness w/ heavy gym quality, to our new home... not just to the new home, but up a flight of narrow stairs!!... I was really worried because my husband and his 3 friends barely moved it 10 feet with lots of sweat and energy. GS ended up calling in a professional who took it apart and it works just fine. I'm grateful to have it where it belongs, in the bonus room. Our other items they placed carefully exactly where I wanted them per room. All in all, Golden Services did a fantastic job with our home. For the two of us with a lot of crap, they got it all in 1 trip which saved money as well. Great business. read more

This was THE worst experience I've had with a moving company. Many of my things arrived broken-and packed wrong. The packers were slow and missed an entire 2 rooms and left artwork on the walls. It was so much stuff left undone - that on the actual moving day our wonderful driver had to call them back. The packers also mislabeled boxes - which caused the movers to put the mislabeled boxes in the wrong rooms. I had to file a claim to get things I've had for YEARS replaced. These items have been packed and moved at least 4 times as we are a military family. I've never had one broken item during these moves. The packers were downright horrible. read more

I have moved 8 times with my precious French and English 18th Century Antique Furniture and have never experience a total disregard for someone's possessions. I actually witnessed one of the movers ripping off the marble from the carved cherrywood trim attached to that marble top...it would not come off and actually lifted off the bottom piece so you could see the attaching bolt exposed about 8 inches. I flew across the room to explain you cannot do that to an antique which, by the way, I had identified as a true 18th century antique and a most precious possession. Then after that they ripped an encased mirror from a walnut molding on another 18th Century antique. I am beyond upset - what kind of cavemen do they hire? If you want to move anything of value to you - I cannot recommend this company. They are associated with Arpin and Arpin hired an antique repair company from Riverside area (90 miles away from where I live in Corona Del Mar/Newport Beach) to lowball the repair estimate. The whole experience was more than disappointing it was disgusting. read more

Terrible experience. Unless you agree to expensive additional insurance, forget it. These guys are real amateurs, creating unnecessary damage, and management does not accept financial responsibility for obvious carelessness. Above all, do not go to storage. That's where things get really messed up, and you're stuck with the problems (storage = 4x the handling and personnel involvement vs. 2x direct to your destination). Storage obscures responsibility for problems. The people are nice, but nobody steps up to the plate. You're referred to an insurance specialist who is 'sympathetic'. Good luck. read more

Only because I can't give less than 1 star. Golden packed us up about a month ago, their packers/movers were absolutely wretched, rude, and inconsiderate of any of our things or us. This is our 3rd pcs as a family and never have we had such an experience! They didn't pack a bunch of our stuff and stood around while the driver of the truck did it! At the end things were just being thrown in, no boxes, no tags. They didn't listen to any instructions about what do to. Lots of standing around smoking and on phones, took longer than ever needed. And one argued it wasn't his job to do certain things because he wasnt the supervisor of our move. One also stole drill bit(S) from my husband. We are now having our stuff unloaded and we are at over a handful of things damaged/broken. Worst experience ever. The military should cancel any contract/future work they do with them. read more

He hung up before I had a chance to ask a few more questions leaving me on the other end saying "Hello?" The day of the appointment, no one showed. Having Golden Services pack & ship our household goods on military orders from WA to HI in Apr. of 2013 has turned out to be the worst experience ever! Significant errors made on the inventory paperwork listing our MBR bed set as a queen not a cal king. Our washer & dryer were never listed on the inventory @ all! Just to name a couple of the many errors. After bringing our concerns to the attention of the General Manager George, the company would NOT be willing to help our family by taking an extra step in assisting us w/ our 3rd party claims office by simply verifying all errors. Thankfully the company that unpacked our shipment verified a washer & dryer was shipped & unpacked. I do not recommend this company, especially to military families! They had no care @ all in assisting w/ the mess their company caused! read more

If you have anything of an antique or fragile nature, these aren't the movers for you! Very personable (but not well organized on the day of the move!), but they didn't know how to safeguard furniture...6-8 items damaged, with floor damage at both homes as well. They mislead us about how to navigate the claim process, and then just washed their hands and turned our claim over to their insurer. Not a moving company that has the customer in mind like others I have used in previous moves in this region...will never use or recommend to anyone. read more

If I could I would give them zero stars. This has been a complete and total nightmare. Having our things picked up for our move wasn't an issue. Getting a hold of our possessions has been the issue. It has been 25 days since our things were picked up, and they are now 9 days late past our required/guaranteed delivery date. Our crates were somehow sent to the wrong location, and every time we attempt to contact the movers they'd say "your things are in transit, sorry they're running behind schedule. We don't know when they'll arrive". Finally, after taking to JPPSO they told us what was really going on, and further investigated. We were told they have now located SOME of our shipment that will be sent to us ASAP. If you have a choice DO NOT use this moving company. ** to add to the already horrible experience, we received part of our shipment today. Half couldn't be delivered because Our crates were destroyed and wet, which then causes our items inside and the crate BLACK MOLD. The delivery was shut down and we STILL will not be receiving our shipment. read more

Several pieces of furniture broke, the movers threw and slammed the the boxes I had and never helped to unwrap or set up anything even when told they would. Customer service was subsequently slow, ended up waiting for hours to achieve nothing. I would not recommend this company. read more

This was one of the worst moving companies ever. We had 4 movers...2 brand new (admittedly first day on the job) and 2 that had been with the company for years. The two experienced movers left at noon and never came back leaving the 2 new movers to pack and load our house. Many of our items were damaged and destroyed. When doing the settlement on our damaged stuff it was discovered A LOT of our inventory was not listed correctly on the form. Maybe because the day one employees were left to do the job and they had no idea how to do it properly. Since things were not listed many of our items on the claim were denied because we had NO PROOF they had moved our stuff!!! not only this but when I asked to speak with management or a supervisor about this issue I was told and I quote, "Most of the crew for your move have already quit or been fired so it will not do you any good to complain." In my opinion this is completely unacceptable and now my family and I have to replace things with money from our own pockets this companies untrained staff damaged and ruined. So much for treating your customers well and acting like their belongs are something to be cared about. I would NEVER recommend this company. read more
