My daughter was moving apartments in Tacoma about 10 minutes apart. She hired ARM to assist with the bigger heavier, bulkier things, while I helped with the smaller items. Their price was not the cheapest. However, when Steven and Brian showed up on time, they were ready to work, prepared, had all the correct moving equipment, gondolas, straps, padding, dolly, cardboard, tape etc. They got the job done on time, UN-DAMAGED, and left everything clean and tidy. Extremely disappointed with All Ready Movers. This company was a nightmare to work with, and the owner was part of our moving crew. The owner's attitude was condescending and incredibly selfish. After rescheduling the move several times, he asked to, yet again, reschedule a portion of the moving services. (We had already been pushed back 2-3 times which cost us hundreds of dollars). He said "we can continue tomorrow, but we'll waive the overnight storage fee" as if he was doing us a favor. At one point, their pace slowed enormously. They were practically standing around as if we weren't paying by the hour. The owner took several lengthy phone call while continuing to work on our dime. Their disregard for our time and money was appalling. Additionally, and worst of all, my mother was incredibly ill at the time and clearly in a vulnerable state. The way the owner of this business "pushed her around" verbally and took advantage of her financially is disgusting. Update: I just spoke to the real owner, and the guy on our crew might not have been part of the ownership. Not sure why he claimed to be? Regardless, the main worker on our crew was incredibly rude and disrespectful, spent extended periods of time on the phone WHILE charging us HOURLY for labor. I shared this with the real owner who responded with a condescending "hm, ok" which shows exactly how much care and concern he has for his paying customers. Save your time and money, people... just hire someone else. read more

I used them beacause they did a good job for my son. My lamp and an open box with silverware and a red sentimental wall hanging and other last minute kitchen ware is missing. They returned the lamp and cannot find the rest! The owner has tried to correct the problem and was concerned about the situation. Hopefully they will improve in the future. read more

Yet another move, this time to Seattle. Luke and Ethan were the best! Professional, friendly and great attitudes. There is no elevator in my building so they had to lug everything up the stairs. Overall my experience with the All Ready Moving is commendable. Dylan was extremely helpful behind the scenes, while Sam and Tyler were immensely professional and courteous throughout their entire visit. At first I was given some bad information from one of the workers there and I gave them a bad review on yelp. Dylan contacted me after reading my review and told me about the discrepancy where my information was taken but not given to the right people. Needless to say, he was determined to make up for the error on the companies behalf. He was more than willing and helpful to ensure that all of my questions were answered and that there was no obligation even after the estimate was given. He stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process and it was a smooth transition from destination to destination. Sam and Tyler were on time, respectful, and moved at a safe fast pace. Sam gave me a courtesy call before they departed and explained all the paperwork thoroughly before I signed anything. Throughout the moving of my belongings they asked questions to ensure it was what I wanted, along with relocating things I preferred in a different area of the house. Tyler was a bit taller so he was able to place some stuff on the shelves I wouldn't of been able to reach on my own. They both advised great ideas that gave me the opportunity to decide what would work best for me around the house. Furthermore, after the job was complete, they reassured I didn't need help with anything else because there was a few more things in the garage that were heavier. A Refreshing Competence We recently endured a grueling 0.4 mile move. Those overland pilgrims on the Oregon Trail couldn't have had it any harder! To save $, we moved the Small and Medium Stuff ourselves; the Big Stuff we left to the younger and stronger pros. The three-man crew sent over by All Ready Moving & Storage couldn't have impressed us more. They were good-humored, fast, and efficient. I kept thinking it would require more than one transit between homes, but ended up amazed at their mastery of spatial relationships to pack it all into one load. Most impressively, the trio was a well-oiled team with a capital "T" that has apparently worked together long enough such that they all knew what needed to be done and no one of them had to give direction. They joshed each other constantly as guys will do. When reserving the move date with the company, the phone rep said all their movers are full-time, steady employees and they don't hire temps; this was clearly evident. read more

The reviews about this company don't lie, they are simply the best. We were nervous because my mother-in-law was forced to move on short notice at a time when we were on vacation. Since we weren't around to help we called All Ready Moving and Storage and, after giving them a short description of her items and the moving distance, they gave us a competitive quote over the phone. On the day of the move they showed up on time, took great care with all her belongings, and hustled to get the job done. My relatives raved about how professional and kind Jon-Jon and Sitka were during the entire experience. We were quoted for three hours of work and they finished in exactly three hours so there were no surprise charges. From start to finish these guys exceeded all expectations! Side note: There is a four hour minimum on weekends but only a one hour minimum on weekdays. After determining that we only had three hours worth of moving, the guys at this company actually suggested moving the date to save us money. Even though there was less than a week until the move date they got us in on a Friday afternoon so we could avoid the extra hour charge! read more

I recently used All Ready Moving and the crew that helped me was amazing! They drove over 2hrs in I-5 traffic to get to my initial location (1hr drive without traffic), drove another 1-1.5hrs to my house, and carefully unloaded everything within the hour! The crew handled my stuff with extreme care and added extra tape/padding to fragile items and boxes. I received great customer service before and during our move. I have moved many times in the last 10 years and always hire professional movers. From my experience the more experienced people do a much better job maximizing the space in the truck, preventing shifting during the move, eliminating damage, and protect the items well prior to loading. All Ready Moving did a good Job. In particular Matt did a really good job. He worked hard running and sweating a ton to get the job done well. His less experienced co-worker Joe had a fraction of the work ethic that Matt had. Im not exaggerating when I say he stood around the last hours of the move doing little but stare off into space while Matt worked to pack and load. He said he only works when he's told to. No motivation, no initiative. He's a nice young kid and very polite but Im paying $150 per hour for 2 people. Geez. Matt should have managed the younger partner and directed him more. They packed all of our items into a 16 foot truck within 3.5 hours and they did a fantastic job getting everything into the truck. I was amazed. I was quoted it would take 3 hours max but I'm not going to complain that it took a half hour more for what they accomplished. read more

We've moved multiple times over the last decade due to career. In the past we've used another company, but went with All Ready Moving because it was a short-distance local move. The fellow I dealt with on the phone was great! Congenial and responsive. But, the team that showed up to move our belongings was a goon squad. There seemed to be a lead mover, and then two other movers channeling the stooges. The two other movers made frequent inappropriate comments while working in the presence of my two small children. One fellow made a very loud, sexual remark about my childrens' toys. Then, when the job went longer than what was quoted, they just shoved everything in the garage. I ended up with a box building that was 5 boxes high, 7 boxes long, and 6 boxes wide. It took us weeks to find all our kitchen supplies and my kids' toys because they were buried beneath boxes cleanly/boldly labeled "Master Bedroom," "Garage," "Upstairs Bathroom," etc. in the garage. And we were still charged over the quote. They also weren't able to move everything, leaving us to scramble to find a pick-up truck. In the past, our moving experiences have always been so easy. The other company was fast as heck, moved everything (even our potted plants), and placed everything in the appropriate rooms. And the movers didn't make rude/lude comments. They've moved us 3x, and we'll go back to them for our next move, even if it costs extra. read more

I was very excited to hire "ARM". I ready the reviews and felt very confident that we were making the correct choice. We are a military family, this is not our first rodeo with moving or movers. I know it is a process and I know that there is planning involved. My husband called and Spoke to Dylan. He came out to our home (2100 sq ft). He walked around and was told that we want packing and moving. We had already done some of the packing and moved it to the garage to get our home "show" ready to be put on the market to sell. My husband told him that the ONLY things we would be packing would be our entertainments centers and the tv's. Dylan said it wouldn't be a problem and he would send out 2 guys the day before on the 31st to pack for 2-3 hours. He said we could cut down on price if we provided some boxes, but they would have plenty. I knew IMMEDIATELY this was a joke. When we had dealt with our previous movers they came out and inventoried and packed. It was a full day event. The 31st came around and the packers didn't make it out until noon. They were supposed to be there in the morning. The two guys showed up with 3 wardrobe boxes. That did not even cover even half of my master closet. They said when they were leaving (because they ran out of packing supplies) that they would be back with more supplies in the morning. The next morning, three guys showed up around 8ish and began moving. There was no organization. They were just putting stuff in boxes and not labeling them. They were not careful with my very expensive bedroom furniture and caused some major scratches and dings in them. Finally after hours they decided to call in another worker and a 2nd truck. However the guys were still not communicating well. I was supposed to have cleaners come by old home to clean at 3pm. She showed up and the house was a disaster. She had to wait till 4pm to start, because they finally left for our new home. When I showed up after work at 5 they had left so much stuff. They forgot to pack an entire closet. There were items and furniture that's wasn't packed. The garage still had pictures and boxes. I was shocked. When I showed up to my new home at 730, the first truck was still being unloaded. I looked in the garage and it looked like I had moved the stuff myself. They hadn't boxed up loose items. They boxes were crushed. I saw the head guy carrying for boxes on his back that I had labeled fragile and then he dropped them down. I could tell the guys were exhausted and I felt bad for them. It essentially wasn't their fault for being there for over 12 hours. This entire process was a failure and misread. At 8pm they began unloading the second truck. Finally after 9 they were done. At that time I saw the damage to my banister, walls, master bedroom door with a hole in it etc. they came to have us sign the paperwork. We were quoted by Dylan for it being around $1700. I knew with the extra hours it was going to be more but to give me a price of $3500 is absolutely ridiculous. You don't have someone give you an estimate and expect one thing and then be slammed with double. We let the guys know we would be talking to the owner Matt about all of this. After they left to top it all off since nothing was labeled I didn't know where anything was. I was up until 1:30am looking for the bedding to all of our beds because it was in the garage. They didn't deliver my boxes to the correct rooms. Had they done that I would've known. My clothes are buried in the garage and not in wardrobe boxes even though I asked for them and they were hung up. I have no idea where my shoes are. Needless to say I will need to go through every single box in my garage to figure out where something is now because of how disorganized this entire process was. I am so disappointed and I am glad Matt took off a chunk of the price however, we hired movers for a reason and this process was just a nightmare. I just pray that some of my priceless possessions were not damaged in this process. read more

I just moved from Boston to WA state through National van lines. I was definitely nervous for the cross country move, but Nationals local agent at ARM met me in Olympia and took care of everything to unpack and settle me into my apt. Since they're local boys, they even gave me some great tips on the area with where to shop, parks, hiking and where to find the best local northwest IPAs on tap. Matt and his crew were incredibly genuine, honest, hard workers with great sense of humor and an impeccable work ethic. They quoted me 4 hrs for the move but finished in almost 3. They were qualified to get our stuff into storage in Olympia. The promises of an efficient long haul move to Florida were false. When I question Dylan about why our stuff was still in Olympia after 2 weeks he was rude. Instead of contacting the long haul movers he raved about on our behalf he rudely told us to call them. The long haul movers have not contacted us and we are screwed. This company is a joke. We have been waiting almost 4 weeks now for our stuff and are devastated. These guys aren't professional and don't know how to treat the customer. You will be disappointed. They have turned us over to the invisible long haul mover. We may lose everything. read more

I hired Matt and his crew to move me from Olympia. It was epic. His crew showed up in the morning, loaded up quickly, organizing the truck well and efficiently. It was a long move South. After a 2.5 hour drive (the truck had to drive 55 MPH), we arrived. The truck weighed 1000 pds over the estimate. I got the paperwork showing the weight. My 2 bedroom apartment contents weigh 5,000 pounds. The rate was competitive and fair. It was 750 ft from the truck to the front door. This is a considerable distance when taking 5,000 pounds worth of stuff down narrow ramps. Much of our heaviest possessions had to be lifted to the second floor through the back door. The younger mover carried box, after box of books up our spiral stair case. The movers are professional, cheerful and clean. They treated my possessions with respect. It took over 7 hours to fully unload the truck into the apartment. I ran down to a taco truck nearby to buy them dinner. The extra distance between the truck and front door and weight increased the cost significantly. At the end of the day I got a great deal, despite the extra cost. I would hire them again. read more

He apologized for my bad experience with his company and apparently two of the movers who were on my move are no longer with the company. I appreciate him getting things handled with my claim. Not only were they able to load everything I owned within an hour and a half, but the movers were really professional. I've used other moving companies and have actually been scared of the guys who showed up, but not these guys. And honestly I was tempted to not mention this, because I really didn't want anyone to think they don't do an incredible job, but they did scratch one of my end tables, BUT... Not only did the owner call me later that day, but he replaced the piece within 3 days. I was amazed, you just don't find customer service like that anymore. All Ready Moving is a no frills, honest company. Their work staff were experienced, down-to-earth and extremely hard working. They moved at a very fast pace, handled all of my goods with extra care, and continually took the time to ask "Where would you like this?". Both Mark and Matt (brothers) genuinely enjoy their job and always had smiles on their faces. They really made me feel relaxed and turned my moving day into a stress-less, even fun experience. The estimator was pleasant, thorough, and gave a very accurate estimate, in retrospect; it turns out, the number of boxes, trucks and time are the important variables the determine the cost of a large local move. On moving day one, there was no supervisor present, but the four young men were polite, and a call to the main office assured me that all would be fine. Throughout the pack and move, I frequently found members of the crew breaking or smoking, and mostly just moving quite slowly, which was concerning, since labor hours matter, For a local move, with a single estimated packing day and a single moving day, I expected the cost to be relatively close to the estimate. The final bill was 20% above the estimated cost! Not happy with that. read more

I needed to make a long distance move. Matt came by to do an in-home estimate. He was thorough, friendly, and professional (even took off his shoes when he came in!). He also offered information the other companies I contacted didn't, such as fully disclosing all the possible extra charges. After our meeting I felt I really understood the process and all the factors involved. He got us a quote within the hour and even dropped it off. We ended up choosing to do the move ourselves by renting a moving truck because it would allow us greater flexibility. Matt set us up with a Penske truck at a great rate and went above and beyond to help us when there was a scheduling difficulty on Penske's end. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism, honesty, and superior customer service! If we had chosen the full service route, I would definitely trust them to take care of everything. read more

We sold our house in just one weekend, which put us in a bit of a bind to be out quickly. I called All Ready and Matt gave me a bid over the phone (my bad, I should have insisted he come to the house). He was polite, he sounded knowledgeable and he sounded helpful. His bid was nearly a thousand dollars lower than our other two bids so we went with it. The guys who did the actual lifting were super. We bought them lunch and even asked the company to schedule the same crew for the next phase. They were professional and quick, which is a good thing when you're paying them by the hour. The bid was supposed to be for a double move. We were moving out of our house, but had no place to go yet, so we were moving to storage, then moving to our new home. As it turned out, the storage was about 2 weeks. All Ready moved out belongings out to the new house and again, the guys who did the actual lifting were great! They gave us the bill for the remainder of the fee and we added a tip for the movers, both of which were paid by check. A month later, as I was reviewing my credit card bill I found a charge from All Ready! Keep in mind that the bid was for what they call a double move. House to storage to house. When I called to ask about the credit card charge, I was told that Matt "forgot" to tell me that the original bid was just for the first move and storage, and that the move from storage to 2nd house was what we wrote the check for. Here are the numbers. Bid in a non-binding (non-binding is industry standard) written estimate - $2,724.97. Written bill presented to us by the movers at the end of the day at our new home - $1,542.25. At this point we are ecstatic about how efficient the movers were. Several other Yelp reviews mentioned that their move came in under the bid. Then I received the credit card statement that showed an additional payment of $2,576.26, for a total of $4,118.51. State law stipulates that movers may not charge more than 125% above the non-binding estimate. At the VERY LEAST they have overcharged us by over $712, and that's just going by the law. If you take into account the moral obligation of truthful business practice, they over charged us by the amount of the check we wrote for over $1,500. In other words, All Ready was more than willing to charge us more than is allowed by the law. Keep in mind that the credit card charge occurred near the end of June, so the statement did not reflect that charge until my July statement was received nearly a month later. Matt was suddenly out of the office and unavailable. Leave an e-mail, I was told. The moves were in middle of June and finally in mid-August, getting nowhere with my phone calls I disputed the credit card payment and VISA put a hold on the payment. Suddenly Matt was returning my calls! Kudos to Matt for being polite and calm during our phone conversations because I was clearly agitated. I continue to feel ripped off. And I haven't even mentioned the broken furniture yet! We settled with a refund of the overage charged above the legal limit of 125% and I cashed their check for $712.30. Matt referred to this as a compromise, when in actuality it was simply following the legal limit of what he could bill. Had we known the real numbers in the beginning we would have hired a different company who had a lower bid when you compare apples to apples. With regards to the broken furniture, I carefully reviewed the insurance options and realized that paying anything over than the included basic insurance was probably a waste of money because of the large deductible combined with the absurdly high fee ($250-$305). Industry standard is the moving companies reimburse you based upon the weight of the item broken. We had a broken chair leg and a broken coffee table. The table was fragile and one-of-a-kind and I should have moved it myself. The chair was an antique and part of a set of two. It took over two months to receive a $30 check for the damaged items. The value of the items would be well over that amount, but since movers reimburse based upon weight... well you get the picture. $30 - woohoo! This was our first move using a professional moving company and I hope it was our last. What I learned: Always get a bid in person, not over the phone. Always go over the bid with the estimator and add a written description of what the move entails. By that I mean YOU add a written description of what you believe the bid includes and you attach it to their written bid and have them initial it. Be clear on how payment will be made. I was unaware that they would ask for a check at the end of the 2nd moving day as well as charge my credit card. Insist on just one or the other payment system with a grand total. read more

These guys (Zach and Austin) were great... Once they actually made it to my location. I guess they had a customer before us who sorely miscalculated the amount of stuff they had and turned a 5 hour job into a 9 hour job (ouch!). I understand the delay because, y'know, people. But someone could have at least called us ahead of time and let us know so we weren't waiting around for nothing wasting time. Furthermore, poor Zach didn't even have my apartment number (even though it was given at the time of reservation) and was walking around calling us when they got here. But once they got rolling, unpacking my moving pod, they were very efficient and even got my pain in the ass couch through the door without an issue or a scratch on the doorframe. Pretty impressive as I've had a hard time getting that stupid thing through previous doorways. I definitely plan on using these guys again when I move again in about a year or so when my lease is up! read more

The guys informed us they were leaving after 6 hours. They were tired. Wow! Emailed and called the company. Never responded to my concerns. I have hired several moving companies before. While the reviews I read mostly are all great I had a completely different terrible experience. Read this before paying All Ready Moving and Storage- this one is real. Matt set it all up to arrive at 8 with 2 trucks and 4 guys at $300 an hour and about $500 in travel time so that if there was a lot of traffic it would be a fixed cost. The travel time as I understood it was to go from where we were moving from to where we were moving to. When I got the bill Matt told me I misunderstood and I was actually paying $500 for THEIR travel their time to travel to where we were moving from and for them to travel back to their warehouse after the move was over - really? Why would I pay that - I mean my employer doesn't pay me to travel to and from work. They arrived at 9:15 - not 8am. We had already moved most of the small stuff and just needed the big stuff moved - seemed pretty straight forward. But they just seemed take their sweet time - taking 30 - 45 minutes to pack and wrap each flat screen TV (we have 2). One guy didn't even know how to use a dolly or lift things with another person and was being trained! One guy carried one thing at a time - I mean even with a dolly he moved one small box at a time!! I could go on but the end result was they finished at 7pm!! Matt billed us until 7:15 - the extra 15 minutes (about $75) for the time to do the paper work for the bill. In all about $3,000 for the move when it could clearly have been done in 2 to 3 hours less time if all four workers actually did their job. Called Matt and complained but he told me he had his best team moving us and it appeared to be a lot of stuff if they got done at 7pm. My response was it took that long because they took their time moving. He did not even consider any reduction in the bill which should have been between $600 and $900. I will never use them again and will advise others to never use All ready Moving and Storage. Beware. read more
