We called Golden Spike out of desperation. We booked KOA in Brigham City to go to the steakhouse here. The KOA was in bad shape and their sites un level. I didn't feel safe for my family so we called around, Golden Spike was friendly especially their receptionist & groundskeeper. I'm very grateful they took us in and we still get to go to Maddox's. read more

Located in a great place off the freeway near shopping, dining, and gas. Perfect overnight stop with no hassles. Arrived late and our site details were left out on door. They assigned a spot to easily pull in and out of. We noticed other families eating dinner in their sites. The area is safe and residential so no worries about theft or safety. Will be back next time passing through town. read more

We stayed for a one night stop. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday night so when we checked in, the office was closed and I missed the box with all the welcome packets (it blended with the other boxes outside the office.). This was quickly fixed by the owners (?) who were driving in. They were very friendly and helpful! The park is clean, tidy, has a nice dog park, and was very quiet. It's near the nicest Walmart I have ever been to (great for a restock on a road trip). There seem to be a lot of long term campers, which normally I hate. However, this park seems to enforce their rules and it's not cluttered with extra cars and broken down rigs. All the sites have gravel pads, a bit of grass, are level and pull through. Easy in and out. There aren't a bunch of fancy amenities like a pool or mini-golf, but it was perfectly suited for our overnight stop. read more

This is an older park, but is a perfect location for us traveling through. We've stayed here for years. There are a few rows of resident folks but the short term rvs are up front. We've always been treated very nicely and it's easy to fuel up on the way out of town at the adjacent gas station that has plenty of room for your big rig. read more

When they say quiet hours are 10pm to 8am they mean only you. You will get woken up at 7am because they are mowing the lawn and weed waking.

Just spoke on the phone about rates with Barbra, not only was she extremely nice, but she was very patient answering questions for me about a trip about a year from now. I've called other parks in the past and they dont tend to be too keen on answering questions when they dont think there will be money exchange in the near future. The park is right off the freeway and close to gas and a walmart. And lioked very well kept from the drive bys I have done. I will be going here as soon as I get my trailer. read more

I've stayed at the Golden Spike RV in Brigham City UT many times because it was convenient, well-kept, and welcoming. Not any more. When I walked in the office to register, a very grouchy, mask-Nazi woman practically yelled at me that I had to have a mask in the office. I tried to explain to her that I was vaccinated, but that did not matter to her. She said it was because she had small children. Don't understand if I don't have COVID and can't get it how I was any danger to her children. Perhaps if she is that paranoid, she should keep her children out of the office completely and away from customers. The rest of the registration was no better as she insisted on reading all of the rules, and there are many, to me as if I was not able to read them for myself. I won't be going back. read more

The park is clean a little small but very clean all spots are pull through. We had an issue setting up our RV and thought we would need to have a repairman come out we arrived on Friday and they wouldn't be able to get out until Monday the park manager Perry offered to extend our stay so that we could get the repairs done fortunately we didn't need any but he did not have to go out of his way and offered to move people around so that we could stay he gave us the name ofA local company and even they were nice on the phone and help talk her through the problem I would highly recommend this for an overnight or an extended stay it is centrally located next to shopping centers and only 15 minutes outside of Ogden read more

Wow if you stay here you better be ready to follow ALL their Rules. First off, we unhooked our trailer. Front Desk Lady came out 15 minutes later and said we have to hook our trailer back up BECAUSE THE TRUCK GOES IN BACK OF THE TRAILER...DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE. Then she came out and said we were driving over the speed limit....OH! Their website says $35.00, BUT it is $50.00 per night. When you check in they hand you a list of highlighted rules that is a joke. If you want to be monitored like you are a kid stay here. Good Luck Folks! Nice park for an overnight stop. Most spots are in the open but there is some shade trees. The office staff is very friendly and they have a small store. The bathrooms are very clean. There is road noise from Hwy 91 but it didn't keep us from sleeping. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! NOT EVEN FOR 1 DAY! The owner and his wife are very unfriendly, unprofessional, and untrustworthy! My husband's job requires us to travel full time, we have been lived in dozens of RV parks over the last 5 years and never have I experienced anything like this. We moved into the park Dec 10th on a monthly rate (plus electricity), in which we paid in full at the time of check in. This paid us through Jan 8th. My husband finished the job Dec 22nd and we drove home for Christmas, leaving our trailer in our space at the park. Our plan was to stay home through the New Year and return Jan 2nd to pick up pur trailer and move on. We'll that didnt work out. We received a call from the RV park on Dec 29th asking when we planned on moving out. When we told her our plan she became very angry and said that they have a "2 month minimum" on the monthly rate so in order for us to move out we would have to either pay another month of rent or change to the weekly rate which would mean we owe them an ADDITIONAL $280 plus we would have to move out on Dec 30th. Over a week before our month that we already paid for. We asked her if this was in the contract that we signed and she said no. And we were never told anything about this "rule". If we were told this we never would have stayed here. When we told her we would not be paying any additional rent she became enraged and started screaming at my husband over the phone and said that if we tried to leave she would call the police. At this point we jumped in our car a drove back to Brigham City to take care of this, not to mention we were afraid that there could possible be some damage done to our vehicle or fifth wheel. We were scared of them and we did not trust them one bit. We called an officer to come mediate the situation and read through the contracts and confirm that we are in the right and we do not owe them any additional rent. And in fact if we wanted to it would be completely legal to stay through Jan 8th, of course we didn't want to stay. Shortly after the officer left the owner came to our door only to harass us, he started shouting at my husband and called me a "liar". We told him we could stay through the week if we wanted to (which we didnt) he then said that if we did he he would charge us more for our electricity. What?? Who would do that? We had to call the police again to ask them to please leave us alone. The next morning the police escorted us to the office to pay our electricity so we can finally leave. They came outside and asked us to "leave their property and never come back". I am warning all of you out there, coming here would be the worst decision you can make. I would feel safer in the Wal-Mart parking lot. read more

Warning..if you make any "complaint" about the hand set sprinkler watering your coach and surge protector (plugged in); or about the little dog off leash that comes running out after your dog from under your coach (surprise), you are on their "list" and they are NOT kind. Not my rules on dogs, but they aren't happy with me?! Now they will find any excuse to be rude! So childish! They obviously want us out, but won't refund money. I'm concerned they will turn off power while we are gone and my small dog will die in the heat! Unbelievable! Sad to be afraid of the, but they turned off water without telling us, so not far fetched. We full time, so we are in many parks. This is NOT only unprofessional, it's abnormal! Office hours are not as noted on sign, door open while lady keeps saying, "we're closed". It's NOT a friendly park to start with, right after you pay, friendly ends! Narrow roads, VERY close sites, grumpy staff, not well manicured, not clean, not a good place to stay. Most are only overnight, unless they live here. Clue?! Not even worth overnight. Stay ANY PLACE ELSE! Do yourself a favor, if it's overnight choose the WalMart. read more

We have stopped two previous times on our way north or south and it has been a delightful park. Yesterday we arrived to a mess. One of the former camp hosts, Bill....wasn't back to the park due to the Coronavirus. Unfortunately, he must have been the one person who cared about the park. The grass hadn't been mowed or cared for in what looked like weeks. Former flower beds and gardens were overgrown. Garbage reeked . The new gal that checked us in was thorough and polite. Camp host Tom did assist my husband with a sewer hose problem. We showed ourselves to our site. All the sites are narrow and close together. Ours was filled with a camper who misread their instructions. The park was filled with semi-permanent guests and the sites were unkempt.....all of them. We will not consider this former refuge enroute in the future. What a shame. Even the little trees that Bill had planted and carefully protected from big dogs, were overgrown with weeds. read more

Not only is this RV park spotlessly clean, it is located in one of the prettiest park locations we've ever seen. All sites are pull through. Bathrooms and showers are as well kept as the rest of the park. When we arrived, I plugged in our shore line but had no electricity. I assumed that the park's power box was to blame. I walked up to the office, and the owner, Alan, walked back to our site with me. The power source checked out OK. The problem was that the plug on our shore line was melted enough that it couldn't make consistent contact. I called all over town to try to find a plug. No one had one. Alan said that he was pretty sure that he knew who would have one. He drove me IN HIS CAR to a store called Smith & Edwards Ace Hardware (also worthy of a 5-star review) that must have been at least 15 miles away. They had the plug. Back at the RV park, Alan put the new plug one for us. I wanted to pay him for his kindness, but he refused to accept anything from me. Aside from the clean, well-run (and reasonably-priced) park, the friendliness, generosity, and decency of its owner is remarkable....and all too rare in these times. THANK YOU ALAN !! read more

Checked in with two lovely ladies at the desk for the night. The park, although small and located in a busy area was a gem to find! Spotless manicured sites and just as clean laundry room. Propane availability is also a plus. I never rate bath facilities as we don't use them bc we are self-contained, but I imagine they were spotless. A rather well stocked Rv small parts area as well. A bit of traffic noise (and few campgrounds don't have that in the background these days), but well worth the sacrifice. Thanks ladies! read more
