I left a message for Reddaway to let them know that I needed the appliance delivered to an apartment located one mile away because I had demolished a large portion of the existing house, and its back walls were missing. I never received a call back, so I assume they did not receive my message, but I was told that I would be contacted by phone 30 minutes before my appliance was delivered. I figured that I could communicate my concern to the delivery driver, and request that they deliver to my apartment. The delivery driver called me today just before 1 PM and told me that he had just delivered my appliance because no one had told him he needed to call me 30 minutes prior. He said that he had noticed the house was a construction site, but decided to leave my appliance, sitting unattended near the sidewalk in front of it anyway. Luckily, I was just turning the corner onto my street and saw the driver still in his truck in front of my house. I explained my issue to the driver and asked if he could take my appliance down the road to my apartment because I do not have a truck to transport it. The driver seemed upset and said that he did not want to load it back into his truck. The driver asked me to pull to the side of the road so he could maneuver his truck. He said, "A car is right on my a$$" and explained that he needed me to pull my vehicle out of his way. I assumed that he was going to readjust his truck and park in front of my house so we could load my appliance. Instead, the moment I pulled to the side of the road, the driver decided to drive away and leave. I tried to call him back multiple times, but he would not answer. I called Reddaway and spoke with his supervisor, but was told that, despite attempts, they couldn't contact the driver either. They told me the driver's name is Josh Cooper. He was very unprofessional. I ended up sitting with the appliance in front of my house for a couple hours until my friend could come help me transport it to my apartment.

We were expecting a shipment on a certain day, our supplier shipped as expected. Tracked it to the Anderson warehouse. O.K we will receive on time to complete a project. NOPE. We waited as long as we could for delivery, when we finally got a hold of someone at the local warehouse (Essie) she said it didn't go out on the local truck for delivery because "we were short handed today". Had to go and pick up on their dock, that took over a hour because they had to find someone to load it for us. Yesterday the same thing happened. So we arranged to pick it up at the dock AGAIN. We picked up our pallet, low and behold it was not the one we are in desperate need of. ESSIE failed to tell me there was more than one pallet for us. To top it off they already put the other pallet on the local truck for delivery. I asked if we can have ours delivered as soon as possible. NO you have to just wait until that get to you. Needless to say a E mail to all our suppliers went out to NEVER use reddaway again or the shipment will be refused. Our guy that picked up the pallet today said the lady was the biggest BITCH ever and please not send him there again.

I was given a 4 hour delivery window from 8am-noon on this past Saturday and nothing showed up. At 12:15, I got a call from the driver telling me that the warehouse didn't put the package on the truck and that there was nothing he could do because the warehouse and office we're closed for the day. He said someone from the office would call me on Monday to reschedule. I also left a voicemail for the office on Saturday after talking to the driver. Monday morning comes and no one calls me. At 10:08 am I decide to call the office again and get the voicemail machine and leave another voicemail. Still no call back by 11, so I call again at 11:23 to get the receptionist. She tells me everyone who can schedule deliveries is out until 1pm, but that she will give them a note to call and reschedule. Still no call back by 3:30, so I call again at 3:42 and get someone who sounds surprised to find out that the package was not delivered on Saturday. After a brief hold, she tells me that the next delivery route won't be until Wednesday (4 days after the scheduled delivery window) and she doesn't yet know what the time window will be. Supposedly, someone will call me tomorrow to schedule the delivery wondow, but I have a feeling I'm going to need to call again tomorrow to follow up.

If you know how to deal with Fed Ex and it's limitations, you'll be better off with the service. First off, I don't ever use Fed Ex ground, yes, they are slow and maybe not as reliable as UPS when it comes to ground shipments. BUT, when you need something delivered overnight, FED EX is the way to go. It's like you get a whole different service level with over night service, like flying first class vs coach! I have never had a package not make it on time if I go over night. I send a lot of stuff overnight to my work head office in LA. I just come here to the Redding airport and off it goes as long as you realize the cutoff times for over night. Having a Fed Ex account helps out a lot with making it really simple to send packages. Prices have gone up a lot in the recent times, but what hasn't? If you need over night, there's prob an important reason for it to get there that fast, so the price really isn't an issue. Tracking numbers are given out and you track it online and even has email or text notification of the progress of the package and delivery time. But, like I said, if you are shipping ground, better off with UPS. The US mail service? Ugh, forget it!

The urgency was that the person was leaving the country on Saturday. I called several process servers in both cities and had difficulty getting a response. Though I worked with a very responsive server in the city for Friday and I paid him (as it was getting late, 5p, on Thursday and I wasn't getting any calls back about serving the party on Thursday... Even the butte county sheriff's office neglected for an entire two weeks to call me back) eventually Amber from AW Legal services called me back. I was frustrated that I had lost the money (due to the lack of responsiveness from several places in Chico) from paying the other processor for the Friday job. However once Amber called, we discussed the entire process, the identification information, and her pricing. I had a fee waiver for the county, but you can't use it if they never call you back so I was happy to find that Amber's pricing is extremely reasonable!!! I made the payment and I advised the Friday process server (in the Friday city), right away, that I might be able to get it done that evening (with AW Legal) but the chances were slim. He told me to let him know if I got it done. Shocked as all get out, Amber, with only basic address info (wasn't 100% sure about the way the apartment # was written) managed to serve the party within two hours. But here's the icing on the cake... My paralegal had multiple misscommunications with myself & Amber in regards to getting the original paperwork from Amber so that it could be delivered to the court. Eventually, I had to cut out the middle man and (2 weeks after service) ask Amber to please send it directly to me. She paid out of her pocket to overnight it to me. This act alone deserves five stars! I was extremely thankful. Amber will send you simple smile emojis, one word answers, and she's not very verbose in her texts (Lol) but she gets to the point, will get the job done, quickly, and correctly. And she is the type that will stick with you until it is done! I couldn't have been happier with her kindness, her commitment to completing the job, her relaxed nature (at a time that is stressful to her clients), and her professionalism.
