Such a sweet little shop. I was quoted by another repair place to replace the crystal face of my watch for over $70. Brought it to Mario and was scared at first because he said "Oh I'll need to order a special size and cut it and it'll take some time." but then it was only $30 for the crystal and a new battery. Mario is Fantastic!!!! Finding a traditional watchmaker in Orlando who is competent and will work on any and all watches, expertly, is essentially non-existant except for one or two individuals who still treasure that fine art! Since most people have gone to battery-operated watches, automatic movements and servicing them is quite hard to find. Finding one, who doesn't charge a fortune to work only on really expensive automatic movements is virtually unheard of! Yet, there is one that I had the honor of speaking to first on the phone and then going over to his store, which is quite small, being treated with respect and learning his story while he fixed my watch! For him, it was a simple problem which, had I gone anywhere else, would've cost me at least five times more, a condescending attitude, or not look at the watch at all! I have three more watches that I am bringing to him as he is the epitome of a generation lost in watchmaking! He is humble, yet found the problem almost immediately and fixed it quickly, and now my watch works fine! I have no reservations about bringing my most expensive watches to him for cleaning or repairs! While I was there, he changed the battery for another patron, only charging eight dollars, and was given$10. I actually paid him more then he asked because he is a humble, nice and extremely competent individual! On a scale of five stars, I give him 10!! read more
