My dogs have been going to Golden Touch Pet Grooming since before I even met my husband. I could not recommend anywhere else! My big yellow lab is terrified of getting his nails trimmed but even he loves it here! We have a bit of a Brady Bunch when it comes to dogs because we had our own dogs before marriage and then we got more together. They are all different breeds with different needs. But the expert groomers at Golden Touch handle their temperaments and coats with ease and skill. Every single one of our dogs is comfortable there and we are comfortable having them care for them! If I could leave more than 5 stars, trust me I would!!! Booked an appointment for our cat Rudy with Danielle. Although Rudy is a very social, friendly, "dog-like" cat, it was his first experience with a groomer and as you can imagine, we were a bit nervous; he is an indoor cat with a dense undercoat that needs lots of brushing so we decided to take the plunge and get him shaved. Danielle consulted us over the phone with confidence and assured us that she was experienced and ready to to meet him. We showed up bright and early with our boy. Danielle bonded with him off the bat and let him get comfortable in his surroundings, she told us that he should be ready in 3-4 hours and that she would give us a call with an option to come pick him up if he was to get uncomfortable at any time. Fast forward about 2 hours into his appointment and she called just to tell us that he was doing awesome, did great in his bath, and that she would touch base shortly with a pick up time...wow! Great customer service right there. She called again an hour later and told us that he was all ready to go. We walked in the door and he looked SO HANDSOME but more importantly he looked happy and calm. I could tell that she took care of him during his stay. We paid for our appointment and set out on our way. Later that day, Danielle called us once again to check on Rudy and mention that you should not pet a freshly shaved animal against the grain (because it causes ingrown) and to thank us for being new customers of Golden Touch Pet Grooming. I am so happy with the grooming Job they did on my husky! He came out great for the holidays. My husky whines and howls a lot, but they stayed patient and talked to him like a person, so they treated him really well. The de shedding treatment they did was amazing. He feels clean and soft. There is no fur coming out of him. I really recommend my fellow husky owners go here. They're also really affordable. For a deep cleaning and de shedding $95 was a great deal, and the price would have been cheaper too if he wasn't matted. They treat the dogs like family at this grooming salon and it's great to know my fur baby is in great hands when I leave him. I'm very picky where I go because I trust absolutely no one. They also gave my dog a Christmas stocking full of treats and a photo sent to me that he was ready for pick up. It really put a huge smile on my face. This was the photo. read more

Our fur baby came home with multiple wounds after his grooming appt. the groomer was Julia and the owner that promised us a refund was Danielle. I sent the photos to Danielle to show how terrible it was. She seemed genuine and apologetic. Gave us her direct number and offered a refund. It took us over 2 weeks to make it back to shop where we were denied the refund by Danielle.I thought she was genuinely sorry but not anymore.. I was looking for a place that would cut down my dogs nails at a reasonable price and they did exactly that. I brought her in with a muzzle as she's defensive when it comes to others cutting her nails. Instead of stressing her out the employee offered to cut them down with me standing right there to hold her. I couldn't be more grateful for them giving her treats as they trimmed them down. She was a much happier dog and wasn't as stressed as other places that I've brought her. Looking forward to making this business my new place for her doggy needs. read more

We have been to many, many groomers throughout Albuquerque going back some 25 years. The people at Golden Touch are amazing. They not only groom your dog, they give the animal their full attention. We have a 10 year old mixed breed Corgie who was suppose to be "pushin up daisies" last Halloween. The vet said he had a tumor under his eye and it was definitely terminal (cancer). However, apparently the vet was wrong and he is still kickin'. The groomer at Golden Touch (Leo) is so kind and wonderful with Jack. He treats Jack with dignity and respect. We are so impressed with not only his grooming skills, but his manner with both our dogs and how he interacts with them. I can't say enough good things about Leo and the people at Golden Touch. Amazing! Both of my dogs who suffer from high anxiety did really well! They came home looking and smelling great, the de-shedding worked wonders I don't have a billion hair balls all over my home anymore. I tried this groomer based on the great reviews. All I needed was a nail trim for my dog. The staff member working there this past Saturday was horrible. She nicked my dog repeatedly and then she fell off the table and was hanging there. I almost had a heart attack. The woman brushed it off and then proceeded to lie to me saying my dog's nail was grown into the paw. This is simply not true. My dogs are well looked after and are well behaved. I've never had an issue with them getting their mani/pedi. I thought I'd try this place to give money to a local business. I will never go here again. read more
