Still my go to for pet supplies, I really appreciate having Simply Diego's around. The staff is always super friendly and they have the dog food that I need. I only buy a specific brand and they have a great rewards program so you get every 12th bag free I believe. I have to stock up on the food pretty often as my dogs go through about one 30lb bag a month. I'm usually in and out pretty fast but sometimes that's all you need. read more

Simply Diego's is a great local pet supply shop with friendly (to human and pets!) and helpful staff. The shop itself stocks a wide variety of supplies (toys, food, pet accessories) and even have DIY wash stations for your pets. I liked that the shop is local and friendly. The shop staff stopped by to ask whether I found everything I needed. The store wasn't super large (and can be a little tight shopping around with your dog), but everyone was kind and are understanding of my pet, who isn't always on best manners (me neither!). read more

I've been going to Diego's-- named after the fluffy-fun-loving-lab that co-owns the shop-- for a long time. To be honest, I got sick of roaming big box-shops trying to "figure it out" on my own, or getting poor advice about what is best for my dog by someone with little education in the vast products on the shelves. Here at Diego's, the employees are well versed on all the products on their shelves. And while it is a smaller shop, they house a large variety of products for your dogs and cats (I'm not certain all the animals they cover but they do cover good 'ol dogs & cats). The staff really helped me on a 3 year journey of getting my 11 year old Tibetan Spaniel into good health. His fur is softer than it's been since he was a puppy. His breath stays fresher after his dentals. His toys last longer than I've seen in a long time. The kicker-- we can self-clean Brutus at Diego's if we want our house to stay clean. Overall, Diego's has shown me food-grade products to help keep my dog in the best shape of his life. Now that I have a small child who roams the floors, mimicking Brutus, there is also a level of calm should she get ahold of food that is not hers, though that's still a no-no. I would put my confidence in Diego's 7 days of the week! If you really want to make sure you're treating the heartbeat-at-your-feet the same way I treat my Brutus, like he is a King, than I highly suggest Diego's to be your guide. It also doesn't hurt that they keep your prior order history on record, you can order from catalogues what is not on the shelves, they will pre-order for you, and they go above and beyond in cleanliness, kindness, and customer service! 10/10 recommend read more

We live out of town. Actually, we're in another state. When we do come to Albuquerque it's with our dog and for an extended stay. Justice, our 128 lb Rottweiler, needs baths. They have a tub that rises and lowers so I don't have to break my back trying to get him in. Everything is there; soap of various sorts, conditioner, blow dryer, towels. I can't beat the price of $20. This is the place I come when I'm in town. The staff is forever friendly and helpful. read more

Came in for a real quick pit stop to get my dog food. My boy eats only Honest Kitchen dog food as he has EPI (pancreatic disorder). I found Simply Diego's on the Honest Kitchen site but the name was different. When I came in I was greeted by the staff and was asked what they could do to help. What a treat this shop was! We are Cali pup parents who didn't realize just how cold it would be in NM/AZ and needed a little jacket for our doodle. This shop came up under 'pet stores' on Yelp and we decided to shop local instead of heading to PetCo/Petsmart and I'm so glad we did. The staff was SUPER helpful and kind in finding a jacket that fit our girl - and this was minutes before they closed. I'm pretty sure we were there past closing time and we never felt rushed or like we were an inconvenience. I can't stress how lovely the staff was to us and our pup. This is a very busy store for a reason. They offer/stock good quality dog food and offer free delivery for 50lb bags. I feel for the staff having to answer lots of stupid questions that people did not research themselves leaving those of us hanging that want to get in/out of the store quickly. Ask your vet about food for your dog's condition, then work a different strategy to get what you need. Also, if you book baths, pay ahead of time so that you can get in and out quickly, as you will find these same people continue to ask stupid questions clogging up the check out process. read more

As soon as we turn the corner to pull in to Simply Diego's, my dog can hardly hold her horses enough to get out of the car. These are just about the most friendly, knowledgeable, and customer service oriented group of people you'll ever meet. I've been able to get my dogs skin allergies under control with a once a month bath at their self-serve dog wash with medicated shampoo and a new food recommendation from one of their staff members. We started our puppy off with a high-quality food, but due to a few surgeries to get her health in order the quality of food we started feeding her for a short time took a hit while we payed off her medical bills. Now that we're all done with that it was time to start getting her diet back on track. I was hesitant, as many probably are about spending what looked like a significant amount on a bag of kibble but I was very happily surprised when one of the sales associates took his time to sit down with me and show me that with a higher quality food, the recommended feeding amount is significantly less because they are made up of complete proteins when lower quality foods are not resulting in having to feed your pet more. He also advised me that dogs with skin allergies are sensitive to chicken which was an ingredient found in the food that we were previously feeding her. Basically for just a few more dollars, my dog is eating the best that she can and her skin allergies are under control, all with the help of Simply Diego's! Took both our dogs in for a bath today! Great facility and we really like their set up for washing. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They are OPEN for pick-up during this crisis. My girlfriend was able to call in an order for our dog and I was able to swing by and pick it up. I don't know how much non-dog/cat owners know but those who do know that getting food and healthy treats for our dogs is as essential as us eating. We were able to pre-order dog paw cleaner too, and learning that corona can be passed on shoes it's not a hard leap to see that paws might be carriers. This place and it's employees are PHENOMENAL! I recently became the caretaker of my sister-in-laws dog, due to unforeseen circumstances. This dog presents as aggressive and defensive to strangers. I'm not familiar with tending to dog's much less onE that has trust issues. I called Simply Diego's on Friday and explained the situation and that we needed a muzzle. The very next day I went in with Dot , my new charge. We were met in the parking lot by a young woman by the name of Sydney. She was so patient, loving and understanding with Dot... and myself as well. We got Dot fitted , Dot made a new friend and I learned sooooo much . I encourage all animal parents to check this place out. I'm known by most as kind of a hard a&$, and tend to keep my emotions to myself.... After experiencing the genuine loving care that Sydney shared with Dot yesterday, I was moved to tears of gratitude in the store and didn't care who saw me . My dog has been all over with me and when she isn't with me she's stayed at lots of kennels and visited many groomers. Today was our first visit to a Dog DIY Bath.
