Here are my issues: 1) The front desk staff apparently do not understand requests of guests, or do not care to provide information. 2) If you are not part of a tour group they do not pay attention to you 3) How can an Italian restaurant, in Italy, screw up Italian food?? The Italian food served in the hotel restaurant was not even edible. Forget about it being good. I was just judging on it being edible. I was not expecting much given that it is a hotel restaurant. 4) Also, how can they run a hotel when there is no shower curtain on the shower in my room? I called and asked for one, and either they did not understand, or did not care. Anyway, since I was just staying one night because of my flight out of Florence Airport early the next morning, I will not say much more. The only thing going for this hotel is the location, and proximity to Aeropuerto di Firenze (Peretola Airport). I would not stay at this place more then one night, unless I had no choice.

This was the first hotel we stayed at that had an actual shower curtain and full size tub. Omg! It was such an awesome feeling to actually be able to submerge your entire body in a full size tub. Most of the hotels we stayed at had a 1/3-1/2 glass for showering. This led to all the water spraying out on the floor. Then we had to mop afterwards (not cool). We did not have to clean up here. We had a queen size bed with a nice little couch. I forgot to check if you could pull out the couch for an additional person but even without the pull out, I could have slept there comfortably. The staff downstairs were very friendly and the place had wifi. We really could not as for much more :)

Pretty good hotel!…read more Rooms were clean and modernly furnished. Bathrooms were huge and bed/ pillows super comfy. Front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast is included and is pretty good (continental buffet with italian cornetti and espresso) Only issue is that if you're actually touring Florence this hotel is pretty far away (25min by car). Not a problem for us a this was our last night before getting on the road the morning after.

It's similar to a building that was flipped. The space in the rooms and bathrooms are ridiculously small. The bathroom door couldn't open all the way without hitting the shower and the sink cuts off most of the bathroom. The staff boasts about their restaurant, but was out of almost every meal listed on the menu because they are prepped the day or two before. The only reason it got two stars was that the cocktails were very good.

The hotel was centrally located, and it's one of the more modern, elegant hotels we've stayed at during our trip. The Duomo and Piazza Santa Maria Novella were steps away from the hotel, and it's a less than 10 minute taxi to the train station. Their complimentary breakfast was amazing. They offered a huge variety of items including hot food, tortes, cereals, fruit, cheeses, parfaits, quiches, etc. I enjoyed a latte every morning with them. Our room at Hotel Spadai was excellent. Very spacious with tall ceilings and had plenty of room for us to lay out 2 large pieces of luggage and 2 small carry-ons. The bathroom was big as well, but the shower was disproportionate to it. The shower felt so much smaller, and what's weird was its two double doors. The doors met at the corner of the shower and didn't close all the way, so water could easily escape to the floor. Other than that, I would 1000% stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Florence.

We reserved a standard king bed room and received a complimentary upgrade to a "nicer" king bed room. Nicer I guess because it was a corner room with a "better view" but not much else was different to the standard king bed room. The common areas are beautifully decorated and well maintained. Front Desk staff were always informative and helpful. The Executive Lounge, with indoor and outdoor seating, was always stocked with snacks, drinks, and small bites. We had dinner in the restaurant there and it was just ok. Not bad but also not very good. The servers, though, were very attentive and friendly. We did take advantage of the complimentary shuttle provided and were dropped off at the local train stop, just across the street from a mall. When we returned later that evening, I called the hotel to let them know we were back at the same drop-off location, but we still had to wait about 40 minutes for the driver to pick us up. Not a major inconvenience, until the rain started falling. Thankfully it was very light rain but there's no place to seek shelter at that drop-off location. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Florence but will definitely stay somewhere else if we do return. As for the local train, it was very easy and inexpensive. About €1.70 per person each way, and it took us straight to the main station, Santa Maria Novella (S.M. Novella) where we enjoyed walking around, visiting the Duomo, and stopping for a most enjoyable lunch and delicious gelato.

my rating is PURELY on customer service. my friends and I had a terrible and very unsafe situation…read morehappen and we needed somewhere safe to use WiFi and figure out what to do next. the front desk man, who spoke little English, did the absolute MOST to help us out. researched train schedules, offered the WiFi password, and even let us sit in the waiting room to calm down and figure out our next plan of action. we even heard him learning a few phrases in English to help better assist us. this man genuinely saved me and my friends lives that night for who knows what would've happened if he had turned us away. amazing service. If we had needed a place to stay for overnight, I would've picked this place in a heartbeat because of this fantastic gentleman.
