Don't dwell on the facade of this restaurant. The food is delicious! We ordered the spring rolls, which were perfectly fried, the black pepper chicken which had the most delicious sauce and veggies and the egg drop soup, which truthfully was missing something but still satisfying. This is my second visit.. I ordered mixed vegetables.. vegetable lo me and spring rolls.. everything was good except for the spring rolls.. not as crispy as I would prefer. I really think their deep fryer may be out of order. The texture reminded me of baked spring rolls.. very unexpected. Definitely healthier, but if I'm eating carbs I might as well go for the deep fried rolls. The restaurant is tucked away in Westridge Shopping Center on Sunset Ave. Not a lot traffic going in and out probably due to COVID-19. The owners are practicing social distancing at the counter and also providing hand sanitizer. There's no indoor seating but just one table and chairs for outdoor use if needed in front of the restaurant. I'll continue to patronize this business while I'm temporarily in the area.. read more

Have been going to this restaurant for years! At this point, we have a relationship with their family and we have watched their children grow up. They are actually from China, so the food is authentic! In my opinion, this is the best Chinese food in Rocky Mount. I also really love the Thai dishes that they offer. Take out. Worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Absolutely no flavor. Just tasted like slimy noodles. ThereMIGHT have been chicken in it but it was unrecognizable as such. Below average Chinese food. The garlic sauce is awful. They have no idea how to make it. They're not the most friendly and they upcharge you for everything. I ordered shrimp and broccoli. I get home and start to eat it and there's only three shrimp in the whole container. I called in to politely let them know and the woman lied and said they were busy(which they weren't) then hung up and in my ear while I was talking. They have very poor customer service and this establishment doesn't look entirely clean. Also when I was in there they had a lot of flies in the back where they cook. Their sesame chicken is the sesame chicken that started my obsession... years ago, when the PNC across the street was RBC and RBC was my client, the ladies at the bank decided to grab Chinese for lunch. I didn't know what was good, and they suggested sesame chicken. Shrug, OK... every day that I had to go back to the bank was a GOOD DAY because I was sure to not pack my own lunch. Then I tried to find sesame chicken in Raleigh that was as good. Five years later and I still haven't found it. Rudest people on the phone when you are trying to order. Asking about having sauce on the side and flat out telling you no, knowing its available and was willing to pay the extra for it.
