We are so happy we are with Goldfish Swim School. The facility is up to par on bathrooms and locker rooms. Every time we come in, they are always clean! All of the staff are genuinely polite, customer service friendly and always have a smile. Customer service isn't always easy and can be quite demanding- staff at Superior Goldfish Swim School are amazing. My son had taken swim lessons in the past and this program, by far, beats out the rec center and other swim facilities by far. read more

We have switched to Maysen for weekly classes! She is incredible and really works with our son and gives us great feed back to work on in our own time! We had 3 kids go through their program for a year and spent thousands of dollars here so I have some experience with Goldfish. On the positive note, most of the coaches are good and care about teaching kids how to swim. Their program does teach them how to swim which why we stayed a year. The problem with Goldfish corporate headquarters and upper management. (1) CORPORATE DISRESPECTS THEIR STAFF: They don't take care of their employees and there is a lot of churn in staff. We saw a lot of good coaches quit or get fired without cause never given a reason why they were fired when they were already short staffed. There is only 1 person left from when we started a year ago and that includes multiple managers. They cannot claim they treat their staff fair with such a high level of churn. (2) COMMUNICATION: We had one really bad instructor and had a kid with special needs who who was publicly shamed and verbally insulted because she didn't hear the instructor. We had notes in the kids profile but it wasn't relayed to the instructor. They should have made sure the instructor understood because it made her not want to come for several weeks which result in the final problem. (3) MAKEUP TOKENS: They also don't take care of their loyal customers and we had to walk away from about $750+ in makeup tokens. To use the tokens you need to be signed up for their monthly program. We had lots of makeup tokens because we missed weeks due to: (A) Having Covid or Being sick (B) Being injured outside of Goldfish and needing to skip a week (C) Sending kids to grandparents for the weekend (D) Our house burning down due to the Marshall fire. They did give us 1 month free which we basically missed most of that free month and just got MORE makeup tokens but we continued to miss other weeks due to the crisis. (E) Signing up to a multi-month program that resulted in us getting tokens. Goldfish doesn't offer a part-time program. Due to staff shortages, they only offered the class 2 times and only 1 time worked for us. Finally, there is only so many times per week you can get a kid to swim before they want to quit which 2 of our kids eventually did. We went to the store general manager would try to talk to corporate but in the end corporate didn't care and usually in a couple of weeks we would be talking to a new general manager (due to the staff churn I cited above) and would repeat the request again. Corporate did nothing and this was super disappointing. Eventually we just had to quit with tons of makeup tokens thrown away. My younger brother drowned so I *absolutely* needed my kids to learn to swim. If I had to do it again I'd possibly still pay the thousands to Goldfish so they learned. However, I would want to go eyes wide open of their management/policy issues. Goldfish is probably ok of you 'stay in their tight swim lane' but if you move outside of their exact program and get attached to any of the staff you will be disappointed. read more

This place is absolutely amazing!!! They are so well run and set up, and it's so fun for the kiddos! We have an 8 month old baby in Mini 1. I am so appreciative of: - Instructors are really great at demonstrating - Curriculum is well designed. I couldn't believe how many skills they packed into a 30 min lesson - They go straight to having the babies put their heads underwater to get them used it it - They have great props to help the kiddos along - They sing great songs to help the kids learn! - 1 adult was allowed in the pool, and I was able to watch from the gallery which was so amazing Tip: wear really lightweight clothing because it's heated and gets hot in the pool area I had hesitated before bc of the cost ($140/month) but i think it's absolutely worth it and much better than just taking your baby to the rec center on your own and trying to figure it out. PS they have strong social distancing guidelines in place, I think it's very safe to take your kids here. Everything is one way traffic and they sanitize everything. read more

This place is amazing! The staff and owners are truly passionate about the safety wellbeing and development of all children. The school was doing a wonderful job before COVID but has gone above and beyond during these tough times to make the experience as safe and comfortable as possible for the staff, kids and parents. All of the instructors are wonderful and great with the kids. They do an amazing job working with the kids and helping them learn and gain confidence by being supportive and encouraging throughout the lesson. I highly recommend Goldfish in Superior. Everything and everyone at this school has exceeded my expectations. Such a wonderful place! read more

We've been coming to Goldfish since they opened a year ago and still love it. Classes are small, and its a very clean facility with kind and patient instructors. Goldfish earned our trust when they responded to early covid times by implementing cleaning practices before other places. When they reopened, it wasnwith thoughtful guidelines that they follow to this day. Its the only activity our son does at this point in time, and we always feel safe. He's advancing his swimming and gaining confidence, and worth the 30 minute drive we make each week! read more

We love Goldfish swim school! Started going to a location in Florida when my son was a baby and found this location when we moved to CO. Staff is always accommodating to me and my son. We signed up for this swim school for our baby, hoping to have him learn some skills, unfortunately we haven't had a consistent teacher, and we pretty much play the entire time. For $140 a month, we expected something special, we have learned more from Broomfield Rec center lessons. We are going out of town all summer and asked if we could "hold" our membership, but they said no, and we had to use all our makeup tokens in 30 days... the problem is, the classes have been canceled because of lack of staff, and are very few makeup class times available. This is a very expensive school, I would not recommend it for babies or toddlers. read more

I can not rave about this place enough! We have been beyond impressed! Our daughter is 3 and has never been that comfortable in the water. She refuses to put her head under, hates water anywhere near her face. and has really been in a lovely 3-year-old defiant stage lately. During her first lesson, she was only willing to put her feet in, but despite this, her teacher was SOOOO sweet and kind. He kept her engaged and stayed positive and upbeat with her the whole time, even though she didn't feel comfortable doing any of the activities. It was great to see the instructor willing to go at her pace. Our next lesson was a make-up lesson with a new instructor Cass and we can truly not say enough amazing things about her! She got my daughter not only to get in the water, but also to dunk her head, float on her back, swim independently, and start to learn to hold her breath. It was beyond unreal and our daughter had a BLAST! At the end, different staff members gave my daughter high fives and her instructor gave her a ribbon. She was so proud of herself and kept saying "I won the competition!!!!". Now she can't wait to come back. Cass is amazing and we can't wait to keep going with her. Swim lessons for my son started out well, he was in a class with one other kid. Today there were three other kids in his class and my son spent a total of 3 minutes and 22 seconds in the water out of a 30-minute class. It's way too expensive for such little time and attention. I canceled immediately, but unfortunately they have a 30-day cancellation policy. read more

We enrolled in Goldfish prior to COVID after they first opened. We enjoyed the first few classes. Of course with COVID all classes paused and as things started opening back up we started back up again. Things were going well and our kids were enjoying their time. Recently, my son was progressing well and they were encouraging him to swim across the pool for the first time. He ended up in tears at the end of the lesson and when we picked him up and got in the car I was able to learn he was afraid of having a near drowning incident like his cousin. Over the course of the next week I engaged with my son trying to encourage him to trust the instructors and that he would be ok. He was adamant about NOT swimming across the pool in his next lesson. I took that as a cue to not push it, I wasn't interested in compromising his confidence in the water just so he could swim across the pool THIS class. When we went to drop him off at his lane everything was completely different - they switched the lanes, the teacher was different and none of that was adequately communicated. Then I informed the instructor (his usual instructor was not present so he was with someone who has never seen my child before and has never worked with my child before) that he swam across the pool last week had a bad experience and he was NOT going to swim independently today in class. He said OK and we dropped him off as usual. Half way through the class I notice my son crying and see another teacher who he's also never seen before talking to him. I could tell he was crying. I walked in and I asked what was going on. The instructor told me they were trying to get him to swim across the pool despite my instructions. At this point my kids is hysterical and I pull them from class and report it to the front desk. Nell heard my concern and said she would go and find out what's going on. Next Jenna comes out the General Manager and asks to hear my side of the story as if there was a side to choose. This is exactly where things went wrong for me. Never in that engagement was there a concern mentioned for my child. Never in that engagement was there a mention of concern for my son's confidence now being impacted. Never in that engagement or statement was there an inquiry to WHY we had asked for the teacher NOT to have him swim across the school. She simply wanted to hear "my side" as if there was a side to be chosen that wasn't my child. It's unfortunate that this was the approach because what it told me was that while this facility prides themselves on safe swimming, building water confidence never in that engagement was there an indication that a mistake was made on the part of the instructors pushing my son past his comfort level to the point of tears. Later when engaging in conversation with Jenna requesting to have the owner and the director of operations contact me so that I can share my feedback finally then is when she expressed her concern and sincere apologies for the misstep of the staff. Then is when she indicated that it's hard to employ high school/college students because consistency is difficult. It's also then that she shared an apology because the staff should have listened to me and my child. The entire staff needs to be better trained, improve communication and certainly respect the wishes of the parents and child. Trust was destroyed in this interaction between student and teacher, my child and me, and me and the facility. In my opinion what I see now hind sight unfortunately is a swimming facility only interested in pushing their students to graduate despite their willingness and confidence level so they can churn students and enroll more. Extremely disappointed in the way the staff handled my son in class and even more disappointed in the management and how they approached the situation with me. I consider 2 stars generous in this case. read more

Had our first lesson today and I'm immediately impressed. We have been at a stand still with our previous swim school for a year. My kiddo worked hard today and was encouraged by the instructor the whole way! It's clear to me that they aim for PROGRESS more than just getting in and following a script. At first we were ok with it as the teacher was giving our daughter the skills she needed, but then the teachers started changing numerous times. This last time, the teacher had changed and 4 additional children were added to the group. This teacher had them sitting for 10 minutes of the 30 minute class doing nothing. When she did have my daughter do something, she was looking at other people in the room not focusing on the children or making sure they were doing things right or even watching them for safety reasons. My daughter was only one level from passing this course, but this new teacher had regressed putting her back at the lower steps having her doing the bare minimum and not working with her skill level to be productive and to be able to move up to the next course. Management did not care and was extremely rude when we voiced our concerns. The mask mandates also detour us from ever wanting to go back. The men felt they could only tell other men to put a mask on but women walk around without them and they say nothing. read more

My 3.5 year old just started swim classes here recently. Wow!!! The facility is incredible. Brand new and gorgeous. The pool water is kept nice and warm. The coaches are really friendly and good with kids. They seem happy to be there. The lessons are designed in a clever way to keep the kids engaged while introducing/repeating key skills. You can watch the lessons from a comfortable waiting area in the other room. I am very impressed by this place. My daughter loves it and talks about "swim school" all week. read more

I can't speak highly enough about the joyful and fun-loving experience that is Goldfish Swim School Superior. Palm trees, seascape murals, and island music? It doesn't get better than that! The staff are warm, welcoming, and accommodating. My kids would shed periodic tears at their old swim school, but never here! It is all smiles and joy. I attribute that to the instructors and fun atmosphere. COVID protocols are progressive and consistently implemented. Everyone wears masks inside (when not in pool), instructors wear face shields in the water, class sizes are small and kids are spaced out, chairs and changing rooms are spaced generously and are thoroughly sanitized after every use. I honestly believe that the kids are safer here than they are at school. Please consider patronizing this small local business. We came for the swim instruction, but we're staying to support a business that has taken a hit shortly after opening their doors due to the pandemic. read more

We absolutely love this place! My son who is 9 has always had a really big fear of going under water. He would play around on the steps but not go underwater. So when I was researching swim schools I noticed most places have a fairly young cut off age and I wasn't finding anything for my son's age. When I came across Goldfish Swim School I was happily surprised to know that they accepted children up to 12!! (I believe) We signed up as soon they contacted us back and we eagerly waited for the opening to come. Our first class was amazing we came and were so welcomed! The place doesn't look like much on the outside, but once you get inside WOW! The bright fun tiki theme throughout, the awesome changing area, and even the viewing area for watching your kiddos swim is great! Let's not forget about the ginormous WARM pool! And when I say warm I mean like 90 degrees... no tip toeing into the pool here! It is so spacious and has lanes with plenty of space the kids to learn their new skills. The instructors are just great so welcoming and friendly. Our instructor Miss. Paige is amazing, she is patient, kind and fun! My son looks forward to this every week!We are 4 classes in and I am seeing some real improvement! From a child who wouldnt get off the steps, to a kid that is floating on his back and front, gliding, and some actual swimming!! I seriously could not be more happy with our experience so far!
