Maddie is absolutely incredible with our kids!!!! We love this swim school so much and we recommend to all our friends.

Do not bring your special needs children here, especially if they are on a waiver, it has been a literal nightmare. My son is 5 and has level 3 autism. He's on a government waiver that pays for his swim safety classes, which British Swim School knew about and claimed to have experience with. I PERSONALLY paid registration to Eliza, who enrolled us, to get him in and the government took over from there. Mind you, I'm supposed to be reimbursed for the registration fee and any additional funds from a $1000 check from the government. When I mentioned it to Eliza she stopped communicating with me. So my son missed swim class twice, once because of croup and the next weekend his dad tested positive for Covid. I followed all procedures and emailed and texted BSS. I actually called the hotel as well because it was short notice and I wanted everyone to know. The owner Nikki eventually called me and accuse my son of missing his first class too, so 3 in total, which was wrong and I corrected her on. The school literally took his picture on his first day. Then she has the audacity to say the same thing to my sons waiver case manager, who then expressed to me how rude Nikki was to him. This was my email to BSS after speaking with the case manager. "Hello, I just spoke with Elan, and he mentioned that Nikki complained about Lincoln missing two session. Lincoln had croup one week (could have been Covid we didn't test him) and the following week his dad tested positive for Covid. I would never bring a sick child into swim lessons and expose other children, so he missed those two sessions only. And I emailed and texted both times and I called the hotel to make sure everyone was informed about the Covid situation. Nikki then called me under the impression that Lincoln had missed his first session as well, which was incorrect, and I feel like because of that presumption and the funds issue, I have not been treated well by her. I understand there was an issue with the payment, which has been rectified, and I had zero control over; however, I do not understand the continued complaint about my sick child missing swim lessons. Please tell me what I should do differently if Lincoln is sick or exposed to Covid? This is not at all what I expected when I talked with Eliza about enrolling my special needs child at British Swim School. Amber Houghton" I posted a review here just like this one and Nikki called me extremely apologetic and wanting to make up the classes he my son had missed FINALLY. Then she did it again tonight. We were discussing additional classes and the payments and the registration fee. She told me she hasn't been paid as of yet by the government (again, they told me they've worked with these programs before) and that she can refund the registration fee when she received it from the government. I corrected her and let her know I paid out of pocket for the registration and my card should be on file. She responded with, "No card on file." I then responded with a screenshot of my confirmation email with my debit card number attached and on file. The amount of discrimination and disrespect is staggering. And I have all the emails and texts to prove it. I wanted to continue to see the swim instructor Sophia because she's amazing and I would gladly pay out of pocket, but instead I'll be canceling every session we have. Thank you Sophia, you were incredible. Nikki, you should be ashamed of yourself. And from what I can see from other reviews I'm not the only special needs parent having these issues. read more

I do not recommend at all!! The lessons were very stingy, compared to other lessons we've had for our son at rec centers and swim schools. The policy for cancelling is absolutely ridiculous!! 30 days written notice like this is a gym membership in 2004. Also the customer service people are rude. Absolutely not worth it, there are plenty of better swim schools!! Go there. read more

My daughters love British Swim school, they look forward to class all week! Clarissa is an excellent instructor and provides my kids exactly what they need to gain so much skill and confidence in a short time. The class structure and timing works so that my kids stay engaged. The business side of things is managed well and the support staff seem to run a smooth operation that always makes for an easy and enjoyable experience. My kids love swimming and British swim school has given them the skill and me the confidence that they are safe in the water! read more

My girls have been going here for over a year now.. I had one girl who at age 5 had no idea even how to float...and a 2 year old who was scared to get in the water. Today my now 6 year old can swim laps in the pool using numerous different swim styles... and my now 3 year old swam across the pool tonight on her back. Andrew is our favorite teacher there....really working with my girls and not giving up on them when they wouldn't get in the water or were hesitant to put their head under. Miranda is another favorite of our family...she always welcomes my girls and makes us feel so excited to be there. I cannot say enough about this program. I highly recommend it! read more

This review is for both the Marriott and Renaissance location. Personally, I think the Marriott pool area is more aesthetically pleasing but both pool areas are very nice. You just have to find the location that is closest to you but both are relatively close to each other. Great Schools! Swim instructors seems to enjoy their jobs which is important. There is someone always onsite at the pool to answer all of your questions. This company is very flexible. They are always willing to work with customers to meet our individual needs and to work around our schedules. Their forms of communication are through the parent portal, email, text messaging and telephone. My suggestions for improvement is for them to have a formal meeting with all new families to address policy issues such as payment schedules and deadlines, procedures for adding and dropping classes and makeups. I also think it would be beneficial to have a very simple skills chart on the parent portal indicating which skills the student has mastered and which skills still need to be acquired. Such a chart would help parents and substitute instructors to better understand which specific skills, within the entire skill set, the student needs to master to get to the next level class. I would highly recommend British Swim Renaissance and Marriott to anyone. read more

We have been part of BSS since their first or second month. My kids love Meredith, one of the instructors at BSS. She is patient and so great to see working with my two little ones (both of differing personalities and strengths). This is the only activity both of my kids have liked participating in consistently and look forward to their next lesson. We feel so fortunate to have found British Swim School for our daughter. We started her in lessons at a different swim school and it wasn't the most positive experience; after 6 months of tears in every lesson we stopped going and had a REALLY hard time feeling comfortable starting somewhere new. It took a couple of lessons for my daughter to warm up to the idea that swimming can be fun, but with the generally fun "no fears, no tears" policies at BSS I was absolutely stunned how quickly she started to enjoy herself. Suddenly we have a child who loves to swim, looks forward to her lessons and is progressing in her swimming abilities quickly. But I cannot post a positive review without mentioning a few staff members who have been integral in our positive experience: we started swimming with Micah who is patient, fun and very easy to work with while explaining every skill to parents thoroughly. Once our daughter moved up a level, we began having lessons with Kennedy who has been awesome! She is fun, always positive and does a very good job with the kids. My daughter looks forward to seeing her every week. Lastly I must mention Eliza, who answered my first call to schedule. I was nervous and little did she know it took me MONTHS after the last swim school experience to actually pick up the phone and make that call. She was super friendly, helpful and encouraging without even knowing I needed encouragement. We've also seen Eliza many times on the deck at lessons and she is thorough in her explanations, happy and her demeanor puts me at ease. I cannot recommend British Swim School Flatirons enough, it truly has been the most positive experience I can imagine. Thank you BSS for helping make our swimming journey a positive one. read more

I have been very pleased with my children's results! Maredith is an amazing teacher! They have a great program.

This school has been great for our son who has seen a marked improvement in his swimming ability since he started classes. Meredith, one of the instructors is wonderful and really knows how to work with the kids and teach them how to be at home in the water and more importantly how to swim. Our son loves the classes and asks us every day if today is swim day. We have nothing but great things to say about the program. read more
