They were doing some maintenance so the driving range was closed and the tee boxes were just aerated. It had a nice mixture of challenges of sand, water, and wavy greens. Greens were in pretty good shape. The forward tees were 4900 yards which is a little shorter than usual but still a good distance. We took a cart but our golf partner walked and there were many walking. It's not a bad course to get your steps, not super hilly and not a huge distance between holes. Staff was great. We had lost an item 'somewhere on the back nine' and a ranger took my husband back out on the course and they found the item. Very helpful.

It's rare to get a public Dr. Michael Hurzdan designed course at reasonable prices and the layout and hole design do not disappoint! It's varied, challenging (hole #13 is epic!), and well maintained. The irrigation system upgrade was disruptive and long, but is paying off with very good conditions. The greens are quick, but true and fair. The only downside is the driving range is distant from the first tee - tough on walkers like me.
