I have never felt compelled to write a review for a medical practice. I had a physician that I…read moreloved, he was great and the doctors in the hospital gave him the nickname "Boy Genius" because he was so smart. The problem is for the last two years I went there I never saw him. I saw a different NP or PA every time I went, and one was worse than the other. I asked one NP about a simple blood test result (they checked my thyroid and one of the results was a little bit "off."). After a few questions to which she replied "I don't know" she finally whipped out her ipad and googled it. It left a bad taste in my mouth for PA's and NP's in general. I recently moved a few miles west of East Moriches and went to South Bay when I had the flu and bronchitis which led to asthmatic bronchitis in the fall of 2016. I saw a PA, Stephanie, and she was fantastic. Literally more aggressive with my treatment than anyone else I have ever seen. I had to see her three times to check my lungs and she would adjust my medication until I got better. Same thing in the fall of 2017. She cleared up my cough in a short time. My most recent visit was this weekend when I saw a nurse practitioner, I believe it was Candice. I knew for sure I had plantar fasciitis because I have a long history of this foot problem. She was extremely knowledgeable and smart and was very compassionate about my circumstances. She gave me an RX for physical therapy and recommended things I could do myself to clear it up. Stephanie and Candice have restored my faith in NP's and PA's. I have not yet met the doctor on staff and that's fine because I am very pleased with the care I have gotten so far. I am thrilled that I found this place and am even happier that they have weekend hours and allow walk in appointments. So far every employee that I have dealt with has been professional and pleasant. They are 10 minutes from my home and I am happy I found them.

Having a medical professional support me on my autoimmune/physical/mental health journey the way she has improved my quality of life tremendously. She never dismisses my issues or concerns. Helps track how diet changes/supplements affect my numbers so we know what is working. Understands MTHFR and how medications can interact with it with it so there is no eye rolling when I question taking a medication concerning my genetic increase in risk of side effects. Is diligent with my labwork (conveniently done on site) and concerns. Her referrals for specialists are always solid. Does this office have kinks to work out? Yes. They have been through a huge shift partnering with Brookhaven Health, but I have faith those will be worked out. Any issues I have had were resolved in a timely matter with a quick phone call.
